Embed WordPress blog into site or /blog?
-
Hi,
Just a quick question -
I assumed it would be a better to have a WordPress blog in a sub folder rather than a sub domain however I just wondered would it offer any more / less value if I just embedded the WordPress blog into my existing code?
Thanks,
Dan

Good to put into your code so when Google comes it will see it as one.
The comment of Joram is correct and a very good option!Would like to know what is the site?
Then I can look to it.Success

Do you mean embedding a n external blog on your site using an iframe or something like that? This is not something I can advise, because search engines will assign the embedded content to the domain where it's actually hosted instead of your site where the content is embedded.
Therefore I would install WordPress on a subdomain or a subfolder on your site.

Franchise-Like Duplicate Sites
I know that ideally businesses that operate as franchises should have 1 site with separate location pages. However, I have a slightly different issue. Each location is owned by a different parent company, and named accordingly. For example, there is "Location by XYZ Company" and "Location by ABC Company." In addition, each location, while carrying similar products, does not carry the same exact products and brands. So my question is how would you go about writing the content for each of these sites, keeping the same tone but avoiding duplicate content?

2 blogs and authorship
Hi all, I run a blog from my WP site, and also a seperate one on blogger.com which has authorship linked to it. I'm noticing that if I put up a WP blog (from my site) on my G+, this will pop up on listings presented the same as the authorship (image shown). My question is, although I make sure that I do not duplicate content between the two blogs, will this kind of mixing up of things (incorporating G+) actually be counter-productive? Thanks in advance.... tom

Is it important to stick to a schedule when posting blogs?
I was watching the Mozinar titled: "From Nothing to Expert: How to Blog like You Mean It" and Tanner mentions that he does not stick to a schedule when posting blogs. There will be days or even a week go by where he does not post anything because he has not found a topic worth writing about. I was under the impression that it was important to post blogs at the same time everyday, or on the same day every week. Does sticking to a regimented schedule not have benefits anymore? Are there any negative or positive effects of sticking to a schedule?

Looking for advice on blog implementation...
I am getting ready to implement a blog for my company. We have our website controlled through a commercial Content Management System that has a blog feature, but it is cumbersome to use and doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a Wordpress blog for example. I know for SEO purposes that we would be better to use the CMS blog and make it a subfolder (www.mysite.com/blog) instead of using a subdomain (blog.mysite.com). However, we would like to use the hosted WordPress blog and find a way to retain the same SEO value for our www.mysite.com site that it would provide being a subfolder on the site. Any suggestions? Installing Word Press CMS on our current web servers is not an option. We would have to use Wordpress hosting services for the blog.

What plugins & tactics are you using for Wordpress meta SEO?
Currently I use All-In-One SEO and I quite like how simple it is to setup and it's stable. Is that still one of the best ones? What are you using these days? Is it worth stripping out the superfluous meta tags that Wordpress now puts in? Is there any value to adding meta descriptions to all my Tag pages and if so, is there a good plugin that will auto magically create unique descriptions for these pages? Same goes for my paginated archives. Thanks!
