Campaign set up as sub domain
-
When I set the campaigns up I used the sub domains now I question should I have used the root domain. Which is best sub or root.
-
I want the same as everyone else the best position in Google.
My campaign is set up as sub-domain.
I am trying to get an understanding of what make the improvements to the following.
What are the most important metrics and if I can work to improve them what makes those improvements. Currently I have a good position in Google for my most productive phrase but feel I need to make improvements to ensure I keep that position. I am adding regular unique content and looking for relavant quality links but it does not seem to be making much difference to the metrics below.
| Domain Authority | 16 |
| Domain MozRank | 2.83 |
| Domain MozTrust | 0.86 |
| External Followed Links | 16 |
| Total External Links | 55 |
| Total Links | 668 |
| Followed Linking Root Domains | 8 |
| Total Linking Root Domains | 9 |
| Linking C-Blocks | 3 || Subdomain MozRank | 2.95 |
| Subdomain MozTrust | 1.73 |
| External Followed Links | 15 |
| Total External Links | 54 |
| Total Links | 667 |
| Followed Linking Root Domains | 8 |
| Total Linking Root Domains | 9 | -
Depends on what you are trying to accomplish and how you want to attack it.
If you setup your campaign to track the subdomain of www.domain.com, you will get a report for just that subdomain.
If you setup your campaign to track the rood of domain.com, you will get a report for www.domain.com, domain.com, subdomain1.domain.com, subdomain2.domain.com - this can generate a HUGE report of issues, errors, and findings depending on how many subdomains you have.
I have my campaigns setup as subdomains, one to our main site, and two to our "micro-sites" that are on our root domain.
Does this help clear up the difference in how SEOmoz reports its findings?

Domain Authority
I made some changes to my site and many of my keywords improved dramatically. Its odd however, that the changes caused the domain authority to go down by 3 points, from 20 to 17. Is this a short term thing caused by recent changes and likely to recover?

Does using keywords in the top level domain make any difference to SEO rankingsq
i am setting up a new company and I need to register a domain name, is there any advantage to using the full name of the company in the domain name? I know it used to be important but does it still make a difference? If possible I would like to just use say the first letter of each of the 3 words instead what will amount to 23 letters but of it makes a difference then 23 letters it will have to be. Thanks

Deciding on domain
Hi, I have a company website that I have access to and it's bcannon.remax-mississippi.com. It allows you to choose a domain and have it 301 redirected so I changed it to Oxfordmissrealestate.com. I noticed that the page and domain authority for bcannon.remax-mississippi.com was pretty high so I took off the Oxfordmissrealestate.com domain and just left it as this subdomain. My question is, would you leave it how it is as the subdomain or change it? Thanks!

Domain Authority vs. Page Authority?
I have a couple of questions about this. First of all is one more important than the other? Also, I currently have a website setup for www.domain.com, should I try to change that to domain.com without the www? How is it possible to grow page authority yet I am having a hard time growing domain authority.

Is creating lots of sub product pages with some variation a good idea?
I have a service for quote comparison for web design, graphic design etc. My main sales page is http://www.designquotes.com.au/compare-quotes I am thinking of creating 20 or so product specific pages such as this: http://www.designquotes.com.au/business-card-design-stationary-quotes Additional pages such as CMS Wbe Design eCommerce Web Design Logo Desing etc Some of the content is repeat, the main content that changes is in the content slider at the bottom. Is this a good idea, or should I be creating more high quality content like the one below? Will the page be considered low quality or get duplicate content penalties? http://www.designquotes.com.au/web-design-buyers-guide

Title tag best practices when domain and brand are the same
I know the old standard for title tag optimization is to use your brand name in the title for a multitude of reasons, all of which are indisputable The most important reason being any strength and awareness can aid in click-thru. But does this hold true for exact match domains? Considering the way a search result is displayed, any awareness and strength derived from using the brand in the title is automatically included in the search result of an exact match domain without having to sacrifice valuable characters in the title. The organic value (or value beyond simply seeing the brand displayed and nothing else) can't have that much of an impact, can it? For Example, given the result attached, is it worth it to repeat dog.com in the title if it is already showing in the result? dog.png

Link Juice not passing for root domain to an internal page
Hi Im working in a SEO proyect for the web fagorarrasate.com, it has good root domain ranking, but it seems like the root domain isn't passing any of its link juice to other internal pages of the site although there are links which link to these sub pages For example if I seach in Google for the page http://www.google.com/search?aq=f&gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Stamping+System+and+Presses The firs page appears without any page ranking, so it seems that the root domain is not passing any of its ranking Why could this be happening? Thanks Jordi

Cross Domain Duplicate Content
Hi My client has a series of websies, one main website and several mini websites, articles are created and published daily and weekly, one will go on a the main website and the others on one, two, or three of the mini sites. To combat duplication, i only ever allow one article to be indexed (apply noindex to articles that i don't wanted indexed by google, so, if 3 sites have same article, 2 sites will have noindex tag added to head). I am not completely sure if this is ok, and whether there are any negative affects, apart from the articles tagged as noindex not being indexed. Are there any obvious issues? I am aware of the canonical link rel tag, and know that this can be used on the same domain, but can it be used cross domain, in place of the noindex tag? If so, is it exactly the same in structure as the 'same domain' canonical link rel tag? Thanks Matt
