Too many links from one site?
-
In webmaster tools in 'links to your site' I have a totla of 819 links but 580 have appeared from one site. Is this bad for SEO?
-
Irving but what if it was the New York Times and it was in articles. Would you still argue that it is a bad link- Would you actually disavow all those links from New York Times (Hypothetically speaking)
-
I can't even see anything on the site linking to me but webmaster tools has just dropped about 200 links to from that site which is good. Not sure what happened there!
-
yes, i would look at the site and get it to be a homepage only link instead of sitewide. i am assuming the link is sitewide and all the same anchor texts with this suggestion.

I have managed to land a few expert pieces on external sites for my company and would like to document that on our blog in the form of mini-blurbs which lead through to the article... but if I link back to it, is that bad practice?
Of course link sharing can be punishable if it is done to share juice, and I understand that on the surface it could look like link sharing, but in reality it would just be nice to document the different successes we've had. Thoughts?

People Promising mass link building in one day and some other unrealistic things, Is it possible? Expert Advice Required
Hi Experts!! "Newbie Question", excuse me if it is something silly There are some experts on the internet(other than here) who are making big promises, about link building, thousands of back links in few days. They have executed thousands of orders and have excellent feedback. Back to the basics, SEO books say we shall build back links at slow and natural pace. I want to know whether such mass link building is possible in white hat SEO world? If yes, are they beneficial for SEO? Typical offers Service 1 Time taken 6 days "I will blast an eminent SEO backlink pyramid (EBP) with 5000 Profiles. consisting of 300 Site about site/domain PR 4+ among which there're varied from 10 to 20 edu / gov (edu.xx gov.xx) profiles randomly in tier 1 and then 4700 profiles built to 300 high PR sites above-mentioned as tier 2, 300+4700=5000 .(its 2 layers backlinks, We will send 300 to your url then we will send 4700 to the 300 links that link to your url , 4700=>300=> url ) .they are from world wide different / unique domains, about 80% of Tier1 are dofollow and publicly viewable." Service 2 7 days _ "I will build a 6 site linkwheel for you (PR3-8 Root Domain), & then ping all the web 2.0 sites. After it i'll create a total of 3000 backlinks to the 6 sites"_ Service 3 I will give you 10 (temporally 30!) powerful links from some of the biggest PR7 - 10 sites on the planet like: Microsoft Apple IBM Adobe Amazon etc Answer requested , so that I can follow the right track. Thanks in advance

How do I find links that link to several competitor sites?
I want to find linking pages that link to several of my competitors. Those are likely to be lists of tools I can also add my website to. My application is a dashboard tool/kanban board. So if I find a page linking both to say kanbannery.com and kanbanflow.com it will be likely to be a collection of links to kanban tools, ad my application can be relatively easy added. Magestic SEO has a "clique hunter" - is there anything similar in MOZ suite of tools?

Links Removed from Site but not Google Webmaster Tools
I have a new client who has been fighting to get past an unnatural links penalty. One of the biggest reasons behind it was that they paid to get a followed link/ad on a blog network, well this ad ended up being a site wide link which ended up giving them thousands of back links within a few days. After getting the owner of the blog network to remove the link i manually spot checked a handful of pages and used screaming frog to crawl looking for a link referencing their site. From what i can tell they are all gone. However they are still in Google Webmaster Tools as well as Google's index and it has been a couple months since they have been removed. Does anyone have any advice on getting them removed from Google's entities even though they are already off of the website? Thank you in advance,

Back linking to t foreign sites
One of our major competitors seems to be linking to an Asian speaking website that has a blog/product review formant. I was wondering how they are achieving this. Are there any non English /Asian sites worth submitting to and what is the best way to go about this if English is the only language you speak! And of course is it worth while doing this from an SEO perspective.

Article submissions for link building- what sites do you still use?
Hey Everyone, Long-time SEO'er first time poster here. I've been doing SEO for around 5 years but since starting my company The Search Ninjas last year I've been so bogged down with client work that I feel like I'm starting to fall behind on what's still effective from a link building perspective since all of my clients are local businesses and since we've been focusing so much attention on Google Places. My question is- are there any general article sites that you still use for SEO since the Panda update last year (that you firmly believe still offer "juice"), or do you mainly focus on niche sites and guest-blogging? I'm looking for ideas regarding how to find content submission opportunities for clients for link building purposes. I'm familiar with Ontolo and the Whitespark Link Prospecting Tool in terms of ways to find opportunities (and of course cherrypicking competitors' links using OSE and SEOSpyglass), any other recommendations? Best, George ps clients are in legal niche for the most part if that helps you out, but this is mainly me looking for everyone's general opinion.

Why Google is not getting many of the links to my site?
Hello, I have a website for cosmetics, selling and a lot of information (http://www.vipcosmetica.com). For about half a year I've been working also in seo for several google keywords. My question is about the external links to my site. Using different tools, including those of SEOMoz, I see just a few links to my site, however there are plenty, because I've been putting them myself, in public directories, related blogs, industry websites and so on. Alexa shows 5 links only, OpenSiteExplorer shows 4, and Market Samurai 9. I thinks theres should be like 50-60 links, minimum, in pages with good google PR (Youtube, Vimeo, Vulka, Hotfrog, Digg, Flickr, etc.). In Alexa, recently two more links appeared, from two blogs that have copied some content from my site (priveta policy) without changing the original links that point to other pages on my site, and those are the links that Alexa shows now. What could be the reason the rest of the links do not appear at all? Thank you very much
