My GA code is on my site but Google Analytics isn't being pulled into SEOMoz...why?
-
The CEO wants me to present an SEO plan next week for three of our sites; however, I got this message when I went to campaign overview tab:
"It appears there's a problem with our connection to your Google Analytics account. Please go to your Settings page to update your connection."
I double-checked the GA code and it's the same on both our site and in SEOMoz...what gives?
I clicked on Choose Your GA Profile->Set GA Account and Profile then got this warning:
"Are you sure you want to change your Google Analytics connection? Changing your connection will reset our cache of your historical GA traffic data."
I need this data pronto so I can set strategy for three sites; any help would be greatly appreciated!

Abe,
Great, thanks for the fix! I was going to try that but, what about that mean warning I got:
"Are you sure you want to change your Google Analytics connection? Changing your connection will reset our cache of your historical GA traffic data."
If I do this, will it kill all our historical data? Will I lose the ability to look back at stuff?
Thanks,
Darrell

Thank you for reaching out to us! I am sorry that you are seeing a problem with your Google Analytics connections. Usually Roger fetches your traffic data with puppy-like enthusiasm, however sometimes there might be a delay between us and Google, so one way to alleviate that is to refresh that connection:
- Head to your campaign settings page on your overview page: http://screencast.com/t/je3mv5DkPbU
- Disconnect your Google Analytics connection: http://screencast.com/t/59NDMB0Ov
- Go back to your settings page and click on "connect account." Please make sure you log into the correct GA account.
- This should let you grab the most current traffic data!
I hope that helps, let me know if you have questions!
Have a great day,
Abe

Can't see backlinks in Search Console
Hello, We have 7 sites and have noticed that for one site, we don't see any backlink info in Search Console even if it's been linked for over 8 months. Other tools show thousands of backlinks, but Search Console is still pending. I also see very little info in regards to Performance even if we are getting thousands of hits a day. Could this be a sign of a bigger problem? In summary, the site is up and running, getting hits, getting backlinks, but Search Console still looks like it's a new site with no activity several months after being installed.

Drop in Bounce Rate in Google Analytics
Hi guys, I have recently seen a large drop in bounce rate (from GA) which seems unnatural for one of our clients website. Since the start of 2018, the bounce rate was consistently between 40-60%, and then saw a random spike, and now for the past two weeks, the bounce rate is below 10%. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas if this is a problem with GA, or the site itself. Site: https://www.zoomocarcredit.com/ Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Different statistics in Google Analytics
Hi! A client of mine is having some trouble on his Google Analytics overview. When he checks the yearly report with number of visitors, new visitors, returning, ... he gets statistics that doesn't match mine. Also, he gets a notation from Google that no hits were fired, although the script is still there. On the other hand, I (logged in with another account) am seeing all statistics correctly. FYI: no filters were installed, nor segments, ... Why does the client see different and incorrect statistics? There should be a setting or something I'm overseeing. Hope you guys can help.

Google Analytics Tracking Code Queries
Hello, I have taken on a new client who has Google Analytics installed. The tracking code is set to 'single domain'. Recently they added a mobile site using a sub-domain (m.website.com) which means that Google Analytics is not picking up this traffic. I want to revise the account so that I have a master account (raw data) and then profiles for the mobile site, main domain (www.website.com) and one other for a sub-domain that they are using. I am aware that there is mobile specific tracking code however I thought it would be easier (re conversions/goals/eCommerce tracking) to not use this and by changing the account to 'multiple domains' we could also get data for another sub-domain that they are using . My questions are: Am I right to want to use individual profiles over web properties. If not please explain why. When installing the tracking code (where the profile number is changing) I believe that I need to add that code with the changing profile number to the sub-domain sections. So my question is a) is that correct, and b) if I use a profile number on a sub-domain section will the master account still gather the data for the main URL as well as all sub-domains. If I change the master account from using 'single domain' tracking code to 'multiple domain' tracking code will this affect historical data? Will I lose the data? When changing from 'single domain' tracking to 'multiple domain' tracking does this affect eCommerce tracking? Or do we only need to be adding the additional lines of tracking code that allow sub-domains to be tracked? The web developers are using asynchronous code however half is in the and the other half is at the bottom of the source code. Given that traffic is being reported in the Google Analytics account should I have any concerns that the code is split? I have done a lot of reading but seem to be going around in circles, so your help is much appreciated! Thanks,

Multi-Site Analytics Dashboards?
Anyone have recommendations on a good multi-site analytics dashboard? I am managing roughly 20 sites right now, and am looking for a dashboard that provides basic info like # of visitors, search traffic, etc. for a couple dozen sites at a glance.

Transferring Google analytics accounts
Hi, Does anyone know if you can transfer an Google Analytics account. We are looking to take over a new clients existing website and the analytics account is registered to their current web designers. Is it possible to transfer it to the client so that their existing web company no longer has access and they keep all their historical data, or do we have to start from scratch. Thanks Fraser
