Adwords for Video Question?
-
Hi I'm just wondering how specific the targeting can be for an adwords campaign that targets youtube videos.
Specifically if the following scenario is possible...
If I was to promote a car alarm, is it possible to have my adverts show up before news stories of car thefts? i.e. can I pick and choose individual videos?
Thanks

Yes, you are able to pick individual videos, categories and channels (though obviously this takes a bit of work) and you can also segment by interest groups and remarket as you would with normal PPC.
So, the targeting can be really quite specific. You could nail it down to be: people over 18 watching videos on this channel, who live in the following countries.

Hi Adam
I'm by no means a PPC expert, but the adwords targeting for YouTube is about as specific as regular PPC targeting. You can target by demographics, topics, interests and so on, so in theory I think you'd be able to do what you're trying there.
Rather than babble on, I'd definitely recommend taking a look at the searchenginewatch guide on Adwords for YouTube and also take a look at the WordStream how-to guide.
Hope this helps.

Do IP and/or DNS changes impact Paid search (Adwords, Bing, etc.)
What impact (if any) does IP or DNS changes, have on paid search campaigns? We recently performed an upgrade to our sites that required a datacenter change (but within the same region East US) and DNS change. We believe there may have been an impact to our ad campaigns in the form of suppression of our ads following the change, specifically - Google Adwords. Is there any information regarding this issue or has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

AdWords/Analytics Paid Search conversions not matching up - any idea why?
Hi all, Any ideas as to why AdWords and Analytics are showing different Paid Search conversion numbers for me when I check on a daily basis? Both accounts are linked, they share the same destination URLs to trigger a conversion, some days each reflects the same amount of conversions, then some days it's anything from 1-5 conversions different (Analytics is always the one to show more). Thanks M

Which of my products should I advertise for first using Adwords?
Serious Adwords noob here. I have been reading a great deal in preparation for my first Adwords campaign. Strangely enough, I have not been able to find information that might help me determine which of my 180+ products I should begin with and use in my first campaign. I imagine that there is some sort of general criterion like the highest selling item, lowest, one meeting certain criterion in the popularity of it's keywords/difficulty, one with least competition or, most likely, something that I haven't even thought of. Does anyone have any suggestions or a link to something I might be able to read to solve this? Thanks for your help!
