2 websites, similar content, adwords placement
-
Hi - I have 2 sites in a clients adwords account which are based on the same subject, with unique content on the same subject. We're using 2 unique ads, each using the same keywords, 1 bidding fractionally lower than the other, and are trying to do is get them appearing 1 & 2, but at the moment I I can't even get them to appear on the same page.
Are we competing against ourselves or is Google seeing the content as too similar to show both?

yes Devanur is correct, Google will not serve 2 ads for the same keyword in 1 account.. The solution is to create a new AdWords account ...1 AdWords account for each domain.
With 2 accounts , you can have your ads appear in position 1 & 2, and yes you will be competing against yourself. This is a really aggressive tactic, but it can be successful. Just be aware that you can drive up your own costs. Make sure to look at both your bids and Quality Scores. The keyword with a higher quality score should have a bid that generates position 1.5. The keywords with a lower quality score should have a bid that generates position 2.5. If you closely monitor your bids & positions, you can be successful.

PPC CPC Increase after Website Speed Issues Were Addressed
We recently moved our hosting provider over from WPEngine to Site Ground. We increased our page speed scores from D/F to a B this past week. However, we noticed an increase in our PPC cost per click due to the website speed being slower... we cannot figure out why this would happen. Has anyone else experienced something similar? A PPC landing page we have is---> https://www.medicarefaq.com/medigap/plan-a/

Have you had success using adwords to promote blog content?
From time to time I see an ad pop up in search results for blog content and have often wondered how much success these ads have had in promoting the specific post. Does anyone have experience with this? What results did you see?

Set-up remarketing through Analytics or Adwords?
I am setting up a remarketing campaign and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on whether to do this via Analytics or Adwords? Doing it through Analytics appears to be more straight forward - and I like the idea of broadening the data set that comes from an Analytics report. I therefore I wonder if it comes down to personal preference? Would be grateful to any thoughts for or against.

Using + in Adwords URL
Hi. I am using keywords in my Destination URL in Adwords. So http://example.com/?football+boots+supplier This was done by someone else and I am trying to understand the full meaning behind this. If I go to the page it links to, it is just the homepage of the website but obviously shows up in Analytics as a landing page that stills out from the general landing page of homepage / Is that the reason so its easier to track the data? I would have though using the Paid referral in Analytics does this better? Any help be great. Thanks

Why are my Adwords Total Estimated Conversions Less than My Phone Call Conversions?
I'm having an issue with tracking some conversions in adwords. Google Adwords is saying I have 20 estimated total conversions in an account and 26 phone conversions. Adwords is saying that the phone conversions are included in the total, so I am confused as to how the part is having a higher total than the sum. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

How to manage AdWords accounts for two business units
Hello! I need some insight with a problem I'm struggling with. First, some background... Our company has two business units: (1) our dental practice and (2) our insurance business. In 2013, we started using AdWords to promote our insurance business. In 2013, we also used an agency to manage our SEM efforts for the dental practice. In 2014, we plan to bring our dental practice SEM campaign in-house and manage both AdWords account internally. That leads to my question... Is it possible with the one AdWords login that we've used for our insurance business to add a second, completely separate account? And by completely separate, I mean separate reporting, separate Campaigns tab, etc. If it's not possible, whats a guy to do? Set up a completely separate AdWords account with a different email address and login? Any insights from those who have managed a similar situation would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Is there any reason to add the word "buy" to our Adwords keywords?
Was having a discussion with someone so I am going to write this up as neutral as possible and let you guys decide. We have a large keyword list and they are all setup as phrase. Should we go back and add the word buy in front of all those keywords? Even though they are setup as phrase already. Example: "Widget" (as a phrase) Should we go back and add "Buy Widget" as a keyword?

A question for Google Adwords experts
Hi Google Adwords experts, We own the trademarks to some keywords. When you search for these keywords, only our ads will ever appear but they don't appear every time a search is made. They're hardly ever appearing now that we've dropped our bid from $1+ to the minimum first page bid (1 cent in some cases). My question is; are the ads showing less because our bid has dropped so low? If so, why is this? If we own the trademark to the keyword and no one else can display ads, any bid that we submit should be accepted by Google, shouldn't it? If you can include a link to any articles that will give me more info, i'll vote for your answer. Thanks!
