How to check Mozrank and/or Moztrrust in Bulk
-
Hi guys,
I've been scouting the web and the SEOmoz forum to look for a way to check the Mozrank and/or Moztrust of urls in Google docs or Excel. I know Chris Le wrote a post about this but I want to check ~ 2000 links. Is there a way to do this easily in a spreadsheet?
Regards.

Hi,
Yeah I seem to not be able to get past 100 now for some reason. I remember I had some luck with this excel add-on in the past. I think it limits to 1 request every 10 seconds so if you have a big list better to leave it run over night, but it does the job and gets the data into excel so worth a shot!

You could also check out the seogadget excel for the moz api, I have not managed to give it a good go through, but it should also be able to do the job:

Hope one of them helps!

Thanks for your help. It works but somehow I can't check it for more then 50+ links. So I manually copy paste all the urls. Is this because of my pro membership level? I have a normal PRO membership. I hope there is an other way because I want to check it for around 1980 links :-).
Thanks for your patience.

Hi,
So if you have a list of urls in the A column and the A1 field has a title 'urls' or similar then you select the B1 field and in the formula box (fx) up top you can put something like
=getLinkscape(A2:A92)
Which will pull the data for the urls listed from the fields A2 - A92.
I have found that you have to have a multiple of 10 so you don't get a timeout error, I think the script bunches the urls into groups of 10 and it seems to have an issue if there is an odd number. So if you have 99 urls, add another one to make a round multiple of 10!
You can see some more tips here: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/updated-tool-seomoz-api-data-for-google-docs
Hope that helps! Its a really useful tool.

Hi Lynn,
I know how to add the Api credentials but how do I make a code that shows me the mozrank, DA, PA and moztrust in bulk?
-
In Google Docs you can do this using the (awesome) Seer Interactive Toolbox, check it out here:

Networking sites / paid links
A national networking company charges its members, say, a few of hundred pounds to become part of their network, which involves offline networking events and online in forums and a directory. All the links of the directory and forum sigs etc are all do-follow. While it's not just a directory, how beneficial a link is this likely to be? The site itself has a DA of 60 and a PR rank of 4. 1k likes on their cnnected FB page and 21 likes on the G+. At the networking meetings they tell new recruits that being a member gives them a very valuable backlink and everytime they participate in the forums they get another do follow backlink. Ive checked and they are dofollow. Is this likely to be a great value link?

Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. Link building / baiting in the Google zoo
I work for a consultancy, and in the past most of our links have been acquired by giving away privacy statements etc for websites, including a link back in the body of the document, and making it a licensing requirement that the link be kept. We're launchinga new site. We want this one to be whiter-than-white, and would appreciate some advice on the following options. Option 1: no links Remove the links from the documents, and don't require links for the use of the documents. Leave a non-linking credit in the documents. Perhaps ask nicely for links from other pages. Option 2: links on other pages Remove the links from the documents, but make it a licensing requirement that users will link to our site from another page on their site. I appreciate that most won't, but some will. Option 3: retain the links Keep the links in the document, using domain name (with and without http and www) and business name anchor text. Option 4: script the links Use scripts to generate randomized links in the documents, so that no two are the same, but with relevant linking text for the most part. We're risk-adverse with the new site, and it will pick up some links "naturally". We're therefore tending toward option 1, on the basis that it may well generate as many links as option 2. Which of these options would you choose? Are there any other options we should be considering?

Www. compared to http://
Hey guys! I'm pretty new to the community, and I had a quick question regarding URLs for my website. What would be the difference between using "http://" and "http://www." in my URL. I have done a little searching, but so far I haven't got a definite answer. Any input would be amazing, thanks again.

Should I optimize/link build all my pages at once?
I'm currently starting to optimize about 30 area specific pages for a property maintenance company and was wondering, what's the best way to link build multiple pages at once? Should I link build for all of the 30 the pages at once, or maybe focus on 5 individual pages - get them ranking well, then focus on the next 5 and so on?
