How to check Mozrank and/or Moztrrust in Bulk

Hi guys,
I've been scouting the web and the SEOmoz forum to look for a way to check the Mozrank and/or Moztrust of urls in Google docs or Excel. I know Chris Le wrote a post about this but I want to check ~ 2000 links. Is there a way to do this easily in a spreadsheet?

Hi,
Yeah I seem to not be able to get past 100 now for some reason. I remember I had some luck with this excel add-on in the past. I think it limits to 1 request every 10 seconds so if you have a big list better to leave it run over night, but it does the job and gets the data into excel so worth a shot!

You could also check out the seogadget excel for the moz api, I have not managed to give it a good go through, but it should also be able to do the job:

Thanks for your help. It works but somehow I can't check it for more then 50+ links. So I manually copy paste all the urls. Is this because of my pro membership level? I have a normal PRO membership. I hope there is an other way because I want to check it for around 1980 links :-).

Hi,
So if you have a list of urls in the A column and the A1 field has a title 'urls' or similar then you select the B1 field and in the formula box (fx) up top you can put something like
=getLinkscape(A2:A92)
Which will pull the data for the urls listed from the fields A2 - A92.
I have found that you have to have a multiple of 10 so you don't get a timeout error, I think the script bunches the urls into groups of 10 and it seems to have an issue if there is an odd number. So if you have 99 urls, add another one to make a round multiple of 10!

Will links from startup/tech blogs help a site rank for *money* keywords?
If a startup has a tech blog (say, domain.com/tech) and a startup journey blog (on domain.com/journey — think groovehq.com/blog), will garnering high PA/DA links to those pages help the root domain rank for keywords related to the startup's services? For example, continuing the Groove example, will quality links to their aforementioned startup blog help them rank the homepage for Online Help Desk Software? Even when those links are from non-helpdesk content on non-helpdesk sites? My theory is that links from high DA sites won't be a bad thing — as long as they're not from spammy pages and done naturally. In some niches, where it's hard to get organic product-related links, this might be a worthwhile strategy. Am I right? Or sadly misguided...? 🙂 EDIT: BTW. The niche I have in mind is fairly uncompetitive, and it'd be easier to garner links from the startup/tech community than the niche community itself.

Hey, How does it work with sponsorships and paid back links? I have a lawyer website, and I know lots of people who do plays and play shows. I could easily sponsor a band for like $100 and get a link on the page. Is this allowed? I could even write stuff on their page to make it more relevant. let me know, thanks.

How to choose a third party agency to help with linking building / SEO strategy?
Hi all, we've not been link building for some time now as we are a small team and been concentrating on other things, such as getting our new look site built and implementing Magento etc. We've historically used external companies to help with link building & SEO... some experience has been good, some bad. Does any one have any suggestions on how a small company can try to choose a decent external company that can help with SEO strategies? There are a lot of options, a LOT of rubbish and a lot of very expensive large agencies that are well out side of our budget (or for a "small" fee simply produce a standardised report on "how to improve your SEO" that can basically be read on the net). We've tried local, smaller companies in order to limit our options .... but that didn't go well either. Any suggestions welcomed. Next is where / how to weight our expenditure and / or our SEO time. Should it be 50% gaining external links (be it by what ever means such as social, checking out where competitiors have links and chasing those possibilities etc) and then 50% internal page SEO, blog content creation, internal linking etc? Http://domainame/brooklyn or http://domainame/brooklyn.html; is there a difference?
I understand that for SEO purposes you would use a 301 redirect, form either www. or no www., because SE's see them as two distinct sites and you are splitting your links; do SE's see extentions .html as two (2) sites also? for example: http://domainname/brooklyn or http://domainame/brooklyn.html. Are the search engines also treating them as two (2) sites? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, James

Our website has seen a steady decline in rankings over the past few months, is there any merit to paid bulk directory submission? Or could it potentially harm our campaign.
Our website has been experiencing a slow but steady decline in rankings despite our activity on social media platforms, is there any value in paying a large sum for bulk directory submission? Where/should I post my press release/articles on my own website?
I have started a long-term article marketing campaign and press release distribution. I will have about 4 articles and press releases in total every month. Although the press releases will not be self-promotional, sometimes they will be talking about a certain product that we unveil. The question is, due to the high quality of these press releases, should I put them on my website as well as publish them on third party websites? If so, because they target a specific service/product which we already have a dedicated page on our website, wouldn't that put Google in the position of choosing between the two pages? I was thinking to put them on my blog and link internally from there with the keywords that I target on those pages as anchor text. The same question for articles. Any suggestions?
