HTTP status code 302

When running Seomoz crawl report, I saw a link site https://www.vietnamvisacorp.com/?req=apply-visa with status code 302 and empty title tag
Is this an error? and what should I do to fix this problem?

I think will still use 302, this link is created for the end-user.

A 302 status code is a temporary redirect which, depending on the circumstances, can cause issues with search engine ranks. Here is a great infographic from Dr Pete on status codes and how it effects each user in relation to SEO:

If you would want end users to redirect to that page and NOT search engines, then the current setup is fine. However, if you would want to send search engines, end users AND link equity then you would want to recreate that as a 301. This process normally requires access to your hosting environment as well as some technical knowledge.

Http to https redirection issue
Hi, i have a website with http but now i moved to https. when i apply 301 redirection from http to https & check in semrush it shows unable to connect with https & similar other tool shows & when i remove redirection all other tools working fine but my https version doesn't get indexed in google. can anybosy help what could be the issue?

Http -> https redirections / 301 the right way
Dear mozers, Thank you for your time reading the message and wanting to help! So, we have moved our WordPress to https and redirected all the content successfully via htaccess file. We used a simple 301 redirect plugin, which we are using to redirect old URLs to the new ones. The problem today is, the redirections in the plugin are not working for http version. Here is an example: htaccess redirect: http --> https Plugin redirect domain.com/old --> domain.com/new but, the url http://domain.com/old is not redirecting to https://domain.com/new while https://domain.com/old does redirects to https://domain.com/new What can you suggest as a solution? Thank you in advance! P.S. I don't think having 2 redirects for each version of the URL is the smartest solution Best wishes, Dusan

Pages giving both 200 and 302 reponce codes?
We are having some issues with response codes on our product pages on our new site. It first came to my attention with the mozbot crawl which was picking up 1000s of 302 redirects, but when I checked them manually there was no redirect (and even the moz toobar was giving a 200 status) I then check with this tool http://tools.seobook.com/server-header-checker/?page=single&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.equipashop.ie%2Fshop-fittings-retail-equipment%2Fgridwall%2Fgridwall-shelves%2Fflat-gridwall-shelf.html&useragent=2&typeProtocol=11

And its showing that there are 2 responses at 302 and a 200 ( but with the same bot under googlebot setting only shows the 200 status). I'm also getting no warning about it in WMTs Does anyone know what's happening here and how worried about it should I be as it seems goggle is using only the 200 status btw the developer thinks it something to do with how the browser is handling the canonicallink, but I'm not convinced Thanks0 -
Redirect 302 status code to 301 status code
Dear All, According to Mozz crawling report our site (www.rijwielcashencarry.n) have a few medium priority problems. There are 302 temporarly direct which i would like to redirect to 301 (because of the linkjuice). What is the proper way to do this?

Direct link vs 302 redirect
So we have recently relaunched a site that we manage. As part of this we have changed the domain. The webdesign agency that built the new site have implemented a direct link from the old domain to the new domain. What is best practice a direct link or a 302 redirect? Thanks

Will invalid HTML code generated by WordPress affect SEO efforts?
Hi all, I'm new to SEOmoz and SEO in general really. I run a small but well regarded freelance website and graphic design business, and until very recently had an employee who handled the SEO side of things. I'm now looking to step into this role myself and hopefully learn the in's and out's of SEO. I've no doubt there will be much to learn, but the SEOmoz tools and it's community seem excellent and helpful. My question then is basically, if WordPress generated HTML code can have an effect on SEO, when it's reported as invalid by tools such as the W3C HTML validator? I'm used to hand coding the majority of my websites for clients, where creating valid HTML and CSS code is something I can do with relative ease. A new client however wants to use WordPress - for ease of updating the site content themselves. The client does however consider any potential SEO implications to be a very important factor in choosing a hand coded vs. WordPress based website. I am aware that WordPress itself is just a means of generating HTML code, and that to the search engines there is no difference between this and the hand coded websites I usually produce. However if WordPress is generating HTML that is being reported as invalid, would this make the search engines penalise the site? On a second note, will the search engines look negatively on a WordPress site where it is being used as a standard website, and the content may not be updated as frequently, as say, a blog? Base HREF set without HTTP. Will this cause search issues?
The base href has been set in the following format: <base href="//www.example.com/"> I am working on a project where many of the programming team don't believe that SEO has an impact on a website. So, we often see some strange things. Recently, they have rolled out an update to the website template that includes the base href I listed above. I found out about it when some of our tools such as Xenu link checker - suddenly stopped working. Google appears to be indexing the the pages fine and following the links without any issue - but I wonder if there is any long term SEO considerations to building the internal links in this manner? Thanks!
