Do bitly and owly shares on social media help out my site for SEO?

Hi Mozzers,
Do shortened URLs, such as bitly and owly help out my website in terms of SEO?
I know they will help in terms of referral traffic from people clicking on the URLs, but how about increasing DA, PA, etc.?

I was just going to say this. I've seen bit.ly/brand_name show up in backlink searches, same with goo.gl. So if they get indexed, they get treated like a link as a 301 redirect.

Bit.ly and ow.ly links are treated as 301 redirects and do pass link juice and aid in increasing DA and PR. I hope that helps!

Social shares, likes, retweets and comments do play a contribution to a site's authority.
They are not classed as an inbound link, but search engines do use social signals as an indication that your content is well supported, liked and obviously worth sharing.

We are currently evaluating a long list of blog promotion and sharing ideas for our website and wanted to ask some of the resident experts here. We post all of our blogs on our Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages, but would you suggest using any of these services for an internet marketing company? I have a website and a facebook page. I have the Facebook Social Plugin on my website which shows my facebook page likes - This is currently at approx 140 likes. Is there a difference between facebook page likes and webpage likes? For SEO purposes, should I be concentrating less on the Facebook page and more on building facebook likes for the website?
