Curating Content. used to avoid, but now i'm having second thoughts
-
It's really hitting me now, because content curating is extremely common in a lot of other forms of media.
I always avoided it because I didn't know the extent of any negatives that I might see from the search engines (duplicate content).
Does anybody else curate content for their blogs?
The main problem that I am having is that I just don't have enough time to publish the amount of content that I need.
Outsourcing is the best alternative, and quite frankly, unless your high school English teacher needs extra money, it really isn't a very good one.
Basically, i'm looking at content curating as a really good way to publish a lot of content, on more topics, a lot easier.
What extent do you consider reasonable?
How do you go about creating your content?
What would you say is the easiest way to create content efficiently?
-
It depends what kind of curation you want to do with how Google will treat it.
Are you creating a link list? Are you showing a quick blurb with your opinion? Are you re-publishing the article?
For the first two, you're creating somewhat original content, and I wouldn't worry too much. (Though make sure to add your opinion on the second option.) On the third one, you can use rel=canonical to get around duplicate content.

My DA hasn't changed in over a year
My DA has been stuck at 32 for over a year, despite me producing lots of new, relevant content for my site and getting many high-quality backlinks from decent websites. Both my keywords and link profile have grown... but DA has not. I know these things take time, but I've watched competitors climb from low DA to now higher than me in a year, and I have no clue why I haven't grown too. I'm not entirely sure what to do next. Moz says I don't have any crawler issues, so I assume it's seeing my site ok. Any advice, clues, ideas very welcome. Thanks

How you do guest posting on behalf of your clients? What do you use in the author bio - your name, client's name or a fake name?
I would like to hear from SEO agencies or link building teams - how you manage guest posting on behalf of your clients? 1. What is your outreach process - Do you pitch as a marketing manager or as a subject expert? 2. What do you mention in your author bio? Your name and your bio as outreach manager/ marketing manager? Your client's name and client's bio? A fake name - as a subject expertise? 3. Which email ID and contact details you use? - Your work ID/ client's ID/ Fake Gmail ID? I work for an SEO agency and I am interested in content and SEO related blog posts. But, I have many clients in the home improvement, real estate, food, fashion and other industries. I don't feel right to use my name when posting a guest blog on their behalf. What you guys prefer? Any thoughts?

Having some problems with understanding how to properly use anchor text for my keywords' better rankings. Please help!
Hello, Last week I did some work on my website's inner pages linking and some of my highly ranking keywords fell down as a result. I guess I did something wrong, please help me figure out what exactly was wrong! Here is the example of what I did. I put a link to the page that ranks for 'Thermador repair Brentwood' here: http://www.ifixappliancesla.com/blog/2016/09/12/appliance-repair-brentwood/ I put exactly same anchor text, 'Thermador repair Brentwood'. For my blog posts, I use Yoast plugin, so when adding the link, I received the message "You are linking to another page with the focus word you want this page rank for. Consider changing that if you truly want this page to rank." While this one's ranking, 'Thermador repair Brentwood', didn't fall down, others did. Could you please confirm if my understanding is right and I'd better not use the same keywords on two or more pages? If yes, what is the best practice for linking to the pages that are not in the main menu? Let's say, I decided to do blog posts for the areas my appliance repair company serves and to optimize those pages for respective keywords. So, I have pages like "Appliance Repair Service in Brentwood" (which is optimized for "appliance repair brentwood" keyword), "Appliance Repair Service in Beverly Hills" ("appliance repair beverly hills" keyword), etc. I thought that the best way to link to them is to put the same anchor texts: "appliance repair beverly hills", etc. But it looks like the best way would be to use the anchor texts like "Beverly Hills", "appliance servicemen in Beverly Hills". Please tell me if I am right? Any explanation, advise or referral would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Does embedded content (from my site) help seo
hi i am creating a new accommodation site and will have some great videos on it (fly bys of local beaches and virtual tours of hotels etc). from an seo perspective i have two questions: 1. should i host on my own site or youtube/vimeo - its a new site but in the long run i want my site to get the credit 2. i will be giving the hotels the chance to embed and video content i have on their own sites. does this help my own seo juice and if so is there a particular way it should be done. there will be around 90 well established local hotels in total so figured it should add up.

I am switching shopping cart providers, and I cannot keep the same URL's we've had for the past 10+ years.
This applies to our product and category pages. What is the best way to limit the impact of this?

Should I use the Root domain as a landing page for 2 languages?
Dear Sirs, I am developing a site www.mysite.com , this site has content in spanish www.mysite.com/es and in english www.mysite.com/en I would like to know if for SEO purposes if it would be good to have an enter page (landing page) at the root of the domain www.mysite.com where the users can choose the language, so I can get backlinks from both languages to the home page in this case the enter page. The thing is for spanish I dont see many seo resources so this way I can get links for the homepage www.mysite.com from english and spanish resources. and then focus in each folder language to get links for each one, english link sfor /en and Spanish Links for /es Thanks in advance, David
