Merge google plus and google plus business
-
Hi guys
While logged in to my Google account Ive noticed we have 2 Google plus pages.
https://plus.google.com/103609762965753667153/posts
https://plus.google.com/b/112981948934843525105/112981948934843525105/posts
Both accessed through the same email login. One has different posts than the other!!
Is there a way to merge both of these? AmI right in thinking one is a personal profile and the other is a business one? We have multiple authors for our blog and each has their own google plus page and correct authorship set up etc but having these 2 pages is more work to manage.
Any ideas?
ThanksRobert

I actually just had that same situation come up, and this is what I found:
"The new tool, which is a part of the company's Google Takeout data-liberation service, allows users to elect a master Google+ account and transfer circles and other information to one main profile, instead of having two separate accounts. For those that make the transfer, you will only be able to log in with the email address associated with the primary Google+ profile."

Thanks James,
I guess every time i blog on the main website I'll have to update both profile and business page manually.
Thanks for your reply.

From the looks of it, you seem to be right, one is a Google plus page for your business i.e. https://plus.google.com/112981948934843525105/about. The other one is a Google plus profile for that login which you are using.
There is no way to merge both the profile as both are different entities. The best way would be to make your personal profile under your name to avoid ambiguity and use only the page to promote your business. You can also share the posts made on the page on your personal profile.
Hope this helps.

Multiple Google Places Accounts - Same Physical Location
Hi there, One of my clients is a local law firm. I have created, populated and verified a Places page for them, but now I have discovered that they had previously created one for each of their attorneys at that location. According to Google's quality guidelines, this is totally fine. However, I am wondering if I should try to verify each of these accounts within Places to enhance their listing coverage? One thing I've already tried is modifying some of the listing details via Map Maker, but it would be nice to just make edits en masse, I think. Any suggestions?

Multiple businesses under the same physical address
If I am running one business at one address and I start a new business what should I do to avoid triggering spam filters for having 2 businesses using the same address. I've been told by an seo that I trust the best way to do this is create a suite #. If I do this then I have to change all the addresses on the existing campaigns for the Primary business because if I create suite #'s it changes the primary's address by doing this.

Does each listing in Google plcaes need a seperate URL?
Hi We have a client who has several car dealership fracnhises located located across two suburbs - so we are creating a places listing for each (with a separate address and phone number). My questions is should each location also have a separate URL (the dealership only has one website covering all locations). The Google guidelines state that you must; Website & Phone: Provide a phone number that connects to your individual business location as directly as possible, and provide one website that represents your individual business location. Use a local phone number instead of a call centre number whenever possible. Do not provide phone numbers or URLs that redirect or “refer” users to landing pages or phone numbers other than those of the actual business. Really appreciate any feedback!

UBL (Universal Business Listing) Alternatives?
I use both UBL (universal business listing) and LocalEZE to submit local listing information. UBL submits to the big database companies but LocalEZE has direct relationships with many of the local listing sites. UBL says they submit to LocalEZE but my LocalEZE agent just told me that they don't publish data from UBL so I basically have been lied to by UBL for a year saying they use LocalEZE to publish as well. I feel companies have a responsibility to make ethical business decisions and I don't know how comfortable I am using UBL. Does anyone have any recommendaitons for providers other than UBL for mass local listing data submission?

Will Google Places put ranking weight on google reviews instead of 3rd party now?
WIth the visual update to Google Places over the past 2 days do you think that Google reviews will become a higher ranking factor as compared to 3rd party reviews. The research I have done shows that 3rd party reviews seem to correlate better with higher rankings..Any thoughts on what might be coming down the road?
