Guest Blog Post or Article Content Should be Do-Follow or No-Follow Link ? Help Plz !
-
Many SEO writers and blogs after Google Matt Cutt said, You should not allow no-follow link in Guest Post.
What should we do. ?
I am allowing Guest post - what they ask in return a do-follow link to their site or blog.
other articles or post i wrote about inspiration collected from different source or single portfolio site - i credit them(as blogger - we should respect them).
What i am doing right or wrong ?
Please advise and help me on this !

After this, i don't know what i have. For the purpose of Do-follow to the advertiser link and remove them who paid for me ! I am new to this and earning only from this !

Really good response from Adam.
The way I look at it is the person who wrote the article took their time to craft something for your website. If we are honest you probably got more from it than they will (we all prefer the content rather than a simple link). It isn't really playing the game if you nofollow, it doesnt do any harm giving them a bit of link juice, plus it builds a relationship for future assistance.

This isn't so much an SEO question as it is a personal policy question.
Obviously declaring something as No-Follow allows you to retain the PR flow from your website. Yet this isn't always something that guest posters are happy with.
The other thing worth considering if your guest posters are only willing to write for you in exchange for a Do-Follow link is maybe they aren't the best guest posters. Not only will similar guest articles and do-follow links from them be popping up on a number of sites as this is their active strategy, but there end goal isn't user experience it's SEO.
To improve YOUR seo and ultimately your business you want a guest poster who cares more about improving their personal brand than their search engine ranking. This way you will find a user committed to quality and user experience, someone that search engines and people a like want to read, and someone who won't require you to give a do-follow link, because regardless of link status their brand grows.
Remember inbound marketing isn't all about SEO, you need to debate where the technical side of your business ends and the branding begins and how that effects your policy!

Best way to handle outdated & years old Blog-posts?
Hi all, We have almost 1000 pages or posts from our blog which are indexed in Google. Few of them are years old, but they have some relevant and credible content which appears in search results. I am just worried about other hundreds of non-relevant posts which are years old. Being hosting hundreds of them, our website is holding lots of these useless indexing pages which might be giving us little negative impact of keeping non-ranking pages. What's the best way to handle them? Are these pages Okay? Or must be non-indexed or deleted? Thanks

Ranking For Synonyms Without Creating Duplicate Content.
We have 2 keywords that are synonyms we really need to rank for as they are pretty much interchangeable terms. We will refer to the terms as Synonym A and Synonym B. Our site ranks very well for Synonym A but not for Synonym B. Both of these terms carry the same meaning, but the search results are very different. We actively optimize for Synonym A because it has the higher search volume of the 2 terms. We had hoped that Synonym B would get similar rankings due to the fact that the terms are so similar, but that did not pan out for us. We have lots of content that uses Synonym A predominantly and some that uses Synonym B. We know that good content around Synonym B would help, but we fear that it may be seen as duplicate if we create a piece that’s “Top 10 Synonym B” because we already have that piece for Synonym A. We also don’t want to make too many changes to our existing content in fear we may lose our great ranking for Synonym A. Has anyone run into this issue before, or does anyone have any ideas of things we can do to increase our position for Synonym B?

How to content marketing: Should my blog posts link to my sales page?
Hi, I've been doing a weekly blog making sure that each blog post contains my money keywords in the text, sometimes in h2 tags etc. My blog posts never contain any links to my actual sales page. Should I link each blog post to my sale page or is it overdoing it? Will internal linking of all my blog posts to my sales page will improve its page authority or have any SEO benefits? What about using exact match anchor text on these internal links? I couldn't find any resource online about this matter. Thank you for your opinion and help! -Marc

Agency footer link, do we keep it ?
Hello ! I was wondering if it's still a good idea to let a do-follow link on the bottom of agency released websites. Because they obvisouly come from different websites with no link with a web marketing agency. Do we have to keep them in the footer in no-follow ? If we do so, how to get some link juice from the different websites ? It sounds a bit stupid but one of my partners went from PR7 to PR5 recently. I guess Penguin 2.0 did not like all its links from its customers' website. Tks a lot !

Youtube dofollow link to web site
Is there still a dofollow link back from a youtube channel to your web site? I filled in the site url in the profile, which in my understanding used to be the single dofollow link back to your web site. However, when I view the page source for the youtube channel it shows up as a nofollow link. Also, in OSE the link does not appear. Has this changed or am I just not doing this correctly?
