Tools For Analysing Backlinks
-
Does anyone know of a good tool that analyses backlinks?
I have already tried Link Research Tools and found it very useful but it is very expensive. Does anyone know of an alternative that does the same thing, i.e. will tell you what links are causing harm to your site?

Hi Brian,
I use http://linkrisk.com/, it is really good and has been endorsed by many of us in the industry. There are different packages available depending on how big the backlink profile you have is but it categorises the links into suspect, high, neutral, reduced and low risk and helps you identify which links you need to concentrate on. I'd recommend you have a look at it.

I have a quick look at the all the sites you have suggested but there doesn't seem to be one that actually tells you in black and white whether your backlinks are good or bad.
Does anyone know of any sites that provide that?

Only other tool I know that is similar to the Link Detox tool (which is only $40 per run) is remove'em which is $250 per site.

Webmaster Tools equivalent to Change Default Address found in Analytics
Hello all! We're changing from http to https. In Google Analytics there is an option to change the default address so we keep our historical data. I can't find a similar option in Webmaster Tools though. Do you have to setup a new property or is there an option to change your current one? Thanks in advance!

Is there such tool?
Morning Moz! Is there such tool, to view if your site has Google Analytics script by page? (I mean page by page, so to crawl an entire site) It's a 500+ page website, so i'm trying to avoid viewing source of each individual page. Thank you!

How can I remove parameters from the GSC URL blocking tool?
Hello Mozzers My client's previous SEO company went ahead and blindly blocked a number of parameters using the GSC URL blocking tool. This has now caused Google to stop crawling many pages on my client's website and I am not sure how to remove these blocked parameters so that they can be crawled and reindexed by Google. The crawl setting is set to "Let Google bot decide" but still there has been a drop in the number of pages being crawled. Can someone please share their experience and help me delete these blocked parameters from GSC's URL blocking tool. Thank you Mozzers!

Where did the diagnostic tool go in webmaster tools?
I've tried to search this topic on Google and here but I'm flooded with old content from Google on how to use the diagnostic tool. Did they remove this from Google Webmaster Tools?

Google Webmaster Tools - When will the links go away!?
About 9 months back we thought having an extremely reputable company build our client some local citations would be a good idea. You definitely know this citation company, but I'll leave names out. Regardless, it's our mistake to cut corners. Google Webmaster Tools quickly picked up these new citations and added them to the links section. One of these citation spawned a complete mess of about 60K+ links on their network of sites through ridiculous subdomains of every state in the country and so many other domain variations. We immediately went into remove mode and had the site's webmaster take down the bad links from their site. This process took about a month for outreach. The bad links (60K+) have not been on the spam site for well over 6 months but GWT still shows them in the "links to your site" section. Majestic, Bing, and OSE only displayed the bad links for a brief time. Why is webmaster tools still showing these links after 6+ months? We typically see GWT update about every 2 weeks, a month tops. Any ideas? Could a changed robots.txt on the bad site prevent Google from updating the links displayed in GWT? We have submitted to disavow, but Google replied with "no manual penalty". We even blasted the bad site with Fiverr links, in hopes that Google would re-crawl them. No luck with anything we do. We have patiently waited for way too long. The rankings for this site got crushed on Google after these citations. How do we fix this? Should we worry about this? Any advice would really help. Thanks so much in advance.

Deciphering Facebook backlinks
I monitor our web traffic in real time using Woopra. I often make on-the-fly decisions about which AliveChat window to activate based on the backlink. The FB backlinks are encoded with something like http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http://www.mydomain.com/&h=PAQFRib7D Is it possible to see which FB page that link originated? Best,
