What exactly is Moz Analytics?
-
I've taken a look at this page - http://moz.com/products/tour and I'm trying to determine if Moz Analytics is live yet? I don't think it is, just wanted to make sure. Because right now I'm just seeing all the same tools as we've always had + Fresh Web Explorer.
Anyways, let me know if I'm missing something.
-
Yeah, unfortunately, the decision was made -- as part of the hype -- not to mix the message to say that PRO users didn't need to sign up for the waiting list.
-
Oh, we definitely want to know! You're not spamming in any manner.
-
Great, thanks for the excellent answer. I had figured that we would know when we had it but I wasn't exactly sure, because even when logged in it asks us to request an invite to beta, so maybe change the messaging for logged in Pro users because that's confusing.
Looking forward to checking it out anyways.
-
Well sometimes it won't display anything temporarily and then it comes back later.. it happens once in awhile and says "try back later or report if it continues" and it never continues for too long so I don't report it in an effort to avoid spamming your dev team.
For example, it's back up and working great now.

To answer your questions:
Yes, we are rolling PRO users into the beta slowly. We expect all PROs to have access to Moz Analytics by the second week in September at the latest. You'll be able to toggle between PRO and Moz Analytics as you get used to it. (One feature we haven't finished porting is custom reports, and you'll definitely be able to still access PRO to grab those.) When you have access, you'll get an email inviting you to try it, and when you log-in into our site to use the tools, there will be an in-app message also telling you that you have access. So it will be very apparent if you have access.
Yes, the Search section mostly has features that are the same as the current PRO application. The new features include more traffic data, an entire brand and mentions section (a lot based on Fresh Web Explorer data, but in more regular way), some retuning of the social tools, a much better UX/UI experience, more integration with Help documentation if you get stuck, and a main dashboard that provides a "health" type overview that we hope you can show off to clients/boss/etc who don't say care about granular inbound marketing work.
-
Make sure you're letting us know about any bugs with that feedback tab.
-
Thanks for the update Jesse!
-
They're offering it to some users but it's still in beta. I've been using it and it's pretty great although some of the features I want most still aren't functional. (just tried logging in and it's not working at all currently for me.. so still a bit buggy)
Not sure on timeline but I know attendees of MozCon became the early adopters.
-
Yes please. It was my understanding that Moz Analytics was going to be rolled out to Pro members over the coming months. I know launches can be delayed, but had not seen anything. I would like to see more info.

How do I combat title tag issues in Moz because of long company/site name? [Currently using Yoast SEO Plugin]
I've only just started to dip my toe into the SEO pool, so please forgive me if this is a silly question. I've been working heavily in the Moz tool and the Yoast SEO plugin to clean up the meta descriptions on our site, as there were many pages without descriptions in place (we just transferred from a different CMS to Wordpress within the last month or so). Now I'm noticing on our Site Crawl that we have 60+ pages that have title elements that are considered too long. When I go in to fix these issues on our blog posts (as this is where most of the issues lie), Yoast is already giving me the green light on the title lengths. I've discovered that the reason why Moz is telling us that many of our site lengths are too long is because "| Parker Staffing Services" is added to the end of our title tags automatically. Deep breath Now that you've heard all of the backstory... Is there a way that I can prevent that site title (which is 26 characters all by itself! Talk about limiting!) from displaying on search engines when our blog posts or pages show up in search results? I've poked around in the Titles & Metas settings that come with Yoast, but I fear making too many changes will result in me screwing something up. Help an SEO beginner out? 🙂

Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title & Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once
Hi Folks, I have a page https://purplegriffon.com/courses/itil-training/itil-foundation-training/itil-foundation that grades with the 'On-Page Grader' as a B grade for the keyword 'itil foundation' but reports that there is no 'Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title' and 'Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once'. The thing is, it actually is but because of IP (intellectual property) rights we have to include a '®' (®) symbol when we mention the course title 'ITIL® Foundation'. Now I believe Google is smart enough to recognise that this symbol should not be included but it seems that for the specific criteria mentioned above, the MOZ bot isn't smart enough to recognise this, even though it recognises the keyword usage elsewhere. So my question is this. Would this constitute an issue in terms of ranking? Another question I have, is how significant are the gains with shorter URL's? For example, the URL to the page in question is: https://purplegriffon.com/courses/itil-training/itil-foundation-training/itil-foundation Would a URL such as below have a significant effect on SEO?: https://purplegriffon.com/courses/itil-foundation Thanks for your feedback.

How to Learn a Lot from Moz Q&A
You can learn a lot from Moz Q&A without asking any questions. The way to do that is to watch for topics that you are uncertain about, then subscribe to that question by clicking the "Email Updates" button. Then, when people reply to that topic, you will be able to read what they have to say and will likely learn many things (and see a few entertaining arguments 🙂 Give it a try. You might subscribe to more questions than you think and learn many things that will improve your skills and expertise.

White Label Version of Moz Pro?
I may have missed it, but is there a white label option for Moz Pro? I have a few clients that would like to login and have a look at competition, rankings, etc. Perhaps something like WebCEO or MySEOtool?

Internal and external links showing in Webmaster Tools but not in MOZ
Hi there I set up a campaign 2 weeks ago but I am registering zero internal or external links for my website. It's a small site with only about 300 external links but they show in Webmaster tools but not in my link report or Open Site Explorer. Do I need to wait until the next OSE crawl or is something wrong with my set up? Thanks in advance! Laurie

GWT data v SEO Moz data
I'm sure there's a simple explanation but I can't find it - Looking through the GWT avg position data v SEOMoz ranking data and Market Samurai data there is a large discrepancy. For one term that we hold #1, and have held for a month or two GWTis showing that the avg position is 180 (and down 30). Any reason you know of why the GWT avg position data would be so out of whack with our SERP's and other data? Thanks.
