Google +1 Client Websites
-
Is it a good idea to have all of our employees +1 our clients Google Plus accounts? This will add a few more followers but want to avoid any potential issues.
-
I am sure people will think this is sketchy, but I have used it and it seems to work.

Ditto. We do this internally, but we ask folks to not +1 everything, just what they like the most etc. That is more of an organic pattern anyway.
-
I see no problem in this. Every page has to start somewhere and get it's first few +1s or likes. There is nothing here against Google's TOS that I know of.

Prager,
This is fine. I would set up google Authorship for the employees as well so their content is attributed to your web site.

Google+ Brand Page in Knowledge Graph
We've been unsuccessfully trying to get our brand's Google+ page listed in the Knowledge Graph for our brand. I believe that our markup on our website is correct. Can anyone advise on why we can't get this to pull up in the knowledge graph? Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/+Tacticalgearcom Knowledge graph for TacticalGear.com: https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8&q=tacticalgear.com&oq=Tac&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j0l2j69i57j0l2.2831j1j7

Google+ buttom
Hello everybody 🙂 Is it possible to implement a Google+ button where if you press on it, it gives a particular Google+ page a plus? Because as I can see, it is only possible to implement a Google+ button, which when you pressed the'll give the given page/post you are on a plus. For example, I added a Google+ button in the footer here http://guard.dk/services/event-natklub-sikkerhed/ (see here: http://screencast.com/t/a045Uen7KEVO). But if you press it, you give just the page you are on a plus. But I'd like to see you give the website Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+GuardISSkanderborg/posts a plus. That means that Google+ page then will have 32 pluses. It should act in exactly the same way as the Facebook like next to the Google+ button. Hope there is someone who understands what I mean, and can help.

Shortcut Link and Referral domain in Google Analytics
Hello, One of my clients has a Facebook page for his company, and his social media manager posts some promotional and educational posts on daily basis. the social media manager uses affiliate ID's in the destination URL to track traffic and leads that come from the social media and to make it look nicer he uses shortcut links service - bitly. Now I have a few questions about this: I don't see traffic comes from bit.ly or bitly.com in Google Analytics, my question: is using 301 redirect makes Google Analytics understand that the last website which sent the traffic to my website is not the actual Referral website? Is using shortcut links in the social media damages the links value (even though they are <nofollow>links - but still considered as signals from social media</nofollow> Thanks. LorS1nd.jpg

Google+ pages in search results
I have a simple question - I've read a lot about how google+ pages are ranking well in google searches, and that it's a good idea to incorporate google+ into your strategy. So I was on a call this morning, talking to a client about this. The client brought up the fact that in all his google searches, he's NEVER seen a google plus page in the search results. I realized that I never have either. After some searches, I still don't see any google plus pages, at least not on page 1 or 2. Am I missing something? Needless to say, the client was not convinced about the value of having a G+ page, and I came away not sure what I was missing. So how do people measure the impact of using google+ on their main website? -Jim

Finding authoritative sources on Google+ - is there a tool?
I'm looking for a way to find authoritative sources on Google+ on certain subjects. I define an authoritative source as someone who is in a lot of people's circles, and the content they curate gets shared, +1, and commented a lot. The subjects are variable, but for an example: What's the best way to find authoritative sources on Google+ on the subject of auto technology. Does anyone know of a tool that can do this?

Google Plus Cover image
Does anyone have any tips on getting a super crisp cover image uplaoded to G+? I have a clear image, full dimensions of 2120 x 1192, but once I've uploaded it, G+ appears to compress it and it loses sharpness / quality. I have turned auto-optimise off, and and tried both JPEG and PNG files - PNG seems to work better, but still not quite there. Example: https://plus.google.com/116325067504054061939 (scroll up to see blurry text) Thx!
