One URL To All Sites, How Can I Avoid ?
-
I am using EMD and have an only 1 page which is the main url. Now my question is how can i avoid the penalty of submitting the same URL to the different platform like Web2.0, Article Directory etc. Please help.

you have an exact match domain first I want to ask you have you been told by Google you've been penalized?
if you have not and you're talking about adding it to valid directories of course you can.
If they are spam directories something not relevant to your website and would not help the end-user then by all means do not submit.
There are a lot of exact match domains out there some of them have gone down some of them are still ranking very high. If you're worried that doing something that you feel is the right thing to do will get you caught then it sounds like you have a guilty conscience but I don't want to guess on that.
I would simply check out any directory you are going to submit to and make sure it is something valid like the Yellow Pages.
Sincerely,
Thomas

Hashtag in url seems to remove the google plus one
My site has a catalogue page (catalog in US) with #anchors so that customers can get straight to them. I even link from other pages to the #anchor on the catalogue page. so I have for example: www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm#blueitems www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm#redtems I understand google doesn't index after the #, here is the post I found: http://moz.com/community/q/hashtag-anchor-text-within-content#reply_91192 So I shouldn't have an seo problem. BUT, if I navigate to www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm and plusone the page it will show the plusone and then I navigate to www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm#blueitems the plus one is gone. The same happens in reverse, if i plusone www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm#redtems, then that plusone doesn't show in www.example.co.uk/catalogue.htm. I added rel=canonical and that fixed the plusone problem, now if you plus one /catalogue.htm#redtems it still shows on catalogue.htm This seems a bit extreme and did I do the right things??

What should I do with 10 Similar Domains pointing to one site?
Hello,
Technical SEO | | thealika
I was recently put in charge of one website with about 15 extra Domains. I previously asked if Domain Parking hurts your SEO as duplicate content - and i learned that the answer seems to be yes. My next logical question is:
What should I do with all those EMD, keyword friendly domains? As I understand, 301 redirecting the domains to the root domain is a safe bet, but that means the extra domains will point to the original root domain no mater what comes after the forward slash. So www.ExtraDomain.com/AboutUS will point to www.OriginalDomain.com - is there a way to keep the forward slashes relavent to the content on the original root domain, if so How? Your Advice, Links, and Comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

One large site or a few microsites?
Hi, I have a client who runs a professional expo company and wants to redo his website. Right now he has one website that has the following sections: expo company info, wedding show info, electrical wire show info, fishing show info. My question is, when I rebuild the site would it be better to do one site or four microsites?

Is 301 redirecting all old URLS after a new site redesign to the root domain bad for SEO?
After a new site redesign ...would it hinder our rankings if we 301 redirected all old URLS that are returning 404 error codes to the root domain (home page) ? Would this be a good temporary solution until we are able to redirect the pages to the appropriate corresponding page? Thanks so much!

Can I noindex most of my site?
A large number of the pages on my site are pages that contain things like photos and maps that are useful to my visitors, but would make poor landing pages and have very little written content. My site is huge. Would it be benificial to noindex all of these?
