Optimise your Pages in Moz Crawl - where do the keywords come from?
-
I am just going through my first Crawl stats from the MOZ analytics
Under the pages to optimise section I have pages that I have optimised for my best keyword with an A grade that are showing as an F grade and suggesting a different keyword?
Where is this keyword coming from?
I am assuming that my page has been analysed and a better keyword has been recommended?
Can anyone advise?
Thanks
Roger

Anytime Roger!
Glad to hear you are liking the new tools

OK Thanks for that, I was thinking I had spent ages researching my keywords and then your tool said they were all rubbish!

Hi Roger!
Our tool will generate a report for any keywords you are tracking that it finds on any graded pages. If you do not wish to optimize those pages for the extra keywords, you can disable them by deleting the report (which will disappear during the next update) or in PRO use the "stop tracking weekly" button. The tool doesn't have a way to know if a keyword is good or not, it only sees how many times it can find it in the source code.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Keyword explorer and relevancy
Hello, In the keyword explorer when I group keywords by lexical similarity should I only choose keywords that have a high relevancy to my seed keyword (the one I typed and want to rank on ? Let me give you an example. Let's say my seed keyword (the one I want to rank on) is "Alsace bike tours. With the keyword explorer I group the keywords and find the group " cycling in Alsace" (ok I take that one because it relevant to "Alsace bike tours" then I find "Strasbourg to Colmar by bike" I also take this one because it is also relevant to "alsace bike tours" but what about concepts like "Alsace wine region", Alsatian architecture, wines of Alsace, cuisine of Alsace or prettiest villages in Alsace... should I totally dismiss those from my content because they aren't relevant to my keyword "Alsace bike tours" or is it ok to use them but it won't help me at all ? Thank you,

How is the Moz keyword limit for each plan determined?
I'm sure it's explained somewhere in here but I haven't found it yet so hoping someone can help: I'm on the Pro Basic plan, which allows me 300 keywords. How is the 300 keywords counted? For example, if I've uploaded 100 keywords in the Keyword Difficulty tool, and am also Rank Tracking an additional 75 keywords for a client, is that 75 kw's, 100 kw's, or 175 kw's? Put another way, if I hypothetically do rank tracking for 300 keywords, does that mean I'm not able to enter additional keywords in the Keyword Difficulty tool without deleting some of the kw's from existing accounts? Thanks for the help!

How much time should I wait between Crawl Tests?
Hello! I ask because it has happened before (and again this morning) that after doing a crawl test and repairing my site per the errors found in Moz's crawl test it still finds the same error. Even though I fixed them. Typically I do a re-crawl 6 hours after or the next day and I find the same errors. I know they are fixed because a couple of days go by and finally Moz gets it right. I had understood that the crawl test was an "on-demand" crawl of sorts, granted with limit of 2 a day. But it seems that if you re-crawl your site within a day the same results yield? It's frustrating. Is this correct? Thank you!

Keyword Ranking Report Blank
I have a custom ranking report set up to run every month. The module that shows the overall changes (how many improved, how many dropped, number in rank #1-3, etc.) populates with data, but the keyword ranking for tracked keywords listing is blank for all keywords, all search engines. I haven't changed anything in my campaigns - why is this reporting blank? Thanks!

How do you block keywords in On-Page Grader for certain URLs?
For the on-page grader, I rank A's for 9 keywords. I struggle with F's I have because it is searching keywords on pages that are not supposed to be searched. For example, I have a "bracelets" page, so I didn't optimize it for "rings", so I got an F. However, it graded me an A for the bracelets keyword, which is great. To be sure I am correct, each page should have it's own keyword, such as bracelet. So why is the grader checking my "Bracelets" page for "Rings"? Maybe there is something I am missing. Just trying to see why this happening.

Way has the number of pages crawled plummeted?
Why has the number of pages crawled for our campaign plummeted in Moz Analytics – down to 729 from over 10k? Don't see any issues in Google Analytics with crawling our site.

Moz "Crawl Diagnostics" doesn't respect robots.txt
Hello, I've just had a new website crawled by the Moz bot. It's come back with thousands of errors saying things like: Duplicate content Overly dynamic URLs Duplicate Page Titles The duplicate content & URLs it's found are all blocked in the robots.txt so why am I seeing these errors?
Moz Bar | | Vitalized
Here's an example of some of the robots.txt that blocks things like dynamic URLs and directories (which Moz bot ignored): Disallow: /?mode=
Disallow: /?limit=
Disallow: /?dir=
Disallow: /?p=*&
Disallow: /?SID=
Disallow: /reviews/
Disallow: /home/ Many thanks for any info on this issue.0
