Optimise your Pages in Moz Crawl - where do the keywords come from?
-
I am just going through my first Crawl stats from the MOZ analytics
Under the pages to optimise section I have pages that I have optimised for my best keyword with an A grade that are showing as an F grade and suggesting a different keyword?
Where is this keyword coming from?
I am assuming that my page has been analysed and a better keyword has been recommended?
Can anyone advise?
Thanks
Roger

Anytime Roger!
Glad to hear you are liking the new tools

OK Thanks for that, I was thinking I had spent ages researching my keywords and then your tool said they were all rubbish!

Hi Roger!
Our tool will generate a report for any keywords you are tracking that it finds on any graded pages. If you do not wish to optimize those pages for the extra keywords, Â you can disable them by deleting the report (which will disappear during the next update) or in PRO use the "stop tracking weekly" button. The tool doesn't have a way to know if a keyword is good or not, it only sees how many times it can find it in the source code.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Can Moz Keyword Explorer help target keywords for Google Images results?
I'm wondering if I can use Keyword Explorer (or maybe another tool?) to target keywords for image rankings. I'd like to play around with optimizing images so that they appear in search results and thus provide traffic - but wasn't sure the best way to track that kind of progress. My ultimate goal is to analyze the difficulty of ranking for a certain keyword via Google images. (I do know to optimize alt tag/title tag/place in relevant article etc, but wanted to know if I could research the difficulty). Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Page Grader states "includes Canonical Tag" but it's not in the page source at all
I've ran it multiple times and changed other things it picked up on so not sure where it's getting the canonical tag is included even though it isn't?

Is the Moz on-page grader going to start grading mobile-first as Google does?
I wonder whether this has been taken into account yet or there are any plans to in future.

Keyword Stuffing Count Differs to Source Code
Moz's on page grader counts 33 instances of a keyword however, when looking into the source code I only find 8. I have checked if capitalization affects the find feature when viewing the source code and it doesn't. Has anyone else come across this issue and found an explanation?

Moz Crawl Test: Referrer is sitemap.gz?
Hi,
Moz Bar | | Titan552
I'm looking at a crawl test report, and I'm seeing that most of the pages have the sitemamp.gz file listed as the referrer. Â As I recall in my other reports the referrer is usually the root domain - unless of course there's a redirect. Does having sitemap.gz as the referrer indicate a problem? If so, what problem does it indicate? Thanks!0 -
Beta Moz is losing my campaigns.
I've been trying to make the transition to Beta especially now that Pro has such serious problems with the style sheet. Â The thing is, all of the campaigns I have added to the Pro side don't show up in the Beta side. Â They'll show in Pro but that's all but unusable on my end and there's no Archive button visible on Beta. I tried adding a campaign again to Beta thinking it just isn't there, but it tells me it's already been added. Â Well then were is it? Â I just added them earlier today! Â I can see them on Pro but nowhere on Beta, nor the other 3 I have added on Pro in the last 2 weeks.

Blocked Production Site from Search Engines - How to get it Crawled by Moz Crawler
I have an 'under development' site hosted, (which is an exact replica of live site as working on to add new functionalities & modules) - but its password protected, excluded from robots.txt (Disallow) & also marked noindex on all pages in the index - so that Googlebot & other Search Engines can not crawl the site At present the development work is almost 95% completed., Now - feel like to crawl the site through SEOMOZ Roger Bot - to know the errors and all indexed urls by Rogerbot. What's the best way to get Moz Bot crawl the site - but simultaneously continue it blocking its access to Search Engines I have gone through - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93708?hl=en, it says a) Save it in a password-protected directory. Googlebot and other spiders won't be able to access the content-  But this way Moz will also not be able to crawl the site b) Use a robots.txt to control access to files and directories on your server - However it also says - It's important to note that even if you use a robots.txt file to block spiders from crawling content on your site, Google could discover it in other ways and add it to our index. c) Use a noindex meta tag to prevent content from appearing in our search results - It also says that a link to the page can still appear in their search results. Because we have to crawl your page in order to see the noindex tag, there's a small chance that Googlebot won't see and respect the noindex meta tag Password Protected thus seems the best way to continue blocking. However, continuing with it will also block Moz bot to crawl the site. Any suggestions Thanks
