Cheers
Dan

Thanks John
I do use SensorTower, really looking for a service that combines all, a hybrid of appfigures and sensortower is desired
Will check Appcodes when get a chance
Thanks for all your comments

That's the one thing Appfigures is still missing. When I asked their support about that, they said they're working on it. Appcodes does a reasonable job at tracking that, and if you ever want to quickly see the keywords an app is using, you can use Sensortower for that. I don't subscribe to either of those sites ongoing.

Thanks for confirming that John !
PS - App Figures, which is great btw (thanks for the heads up), doesnt offer keyword rank reports as far as i can see (only category)
-
Yup! It'll all be in iTunes Connect, which is the site in which your developers will be uploading your app to Apple. There are different access levels... I don't recall what they are, but I believe there is a marketing one that should give you access to Sales and Trends report.

ok great many thanks John, sorry but just to confirm, thats in iTunes directly we should be able to get all that data !!
-
Our app is free (with no in-app purchases), so it just shows downloads in that report. It looks like the report can toggle between downloads, updates, and in-app purchases, so you should be able to see both here with no issues.
Have a great weekend yourself!

Thats great information thanks John !
Our app is free (but with in app purchases), will iTunes data (sales & trends or other section) tell us the actual number of downloads (as opposed to sales) ?
Thanks for the heads up re Appfigures too
Have a great weekend !
All Best

The data in the Sales and Trends report in iTunes Connect should be considered the truth. If you don't see that report, you should talk to whomever is your admin in iTunes Connect to give you the appropriate access.
I use a site I really like called Appfigures.com that links up to my iTunes Connect to track rankings over time, and get a better picture of downloads by country over time. They also pull data on reviews, where you're being featured, and general rankings if you want to see how other apps rank compared to yours. They have a free trial if you want to try it out, and it's like $5/mo for one app after that, so it won't break the bank.

Retailer search engines
Can anyone recommend any companies, tools or products to monitor and suggest best practices for submitting products to retailer search engines (Amazon for example). We are looking for something that will continually monitor a products performance, and pick up on any changes, such as if the retailer changes their search algorithm. Thank you in advance.

How Popular is Google Image Search?
Are there any stats on the volume of searches through Google's Image Search? My assumption is that more users are turning to image search to shop but I haven't found any supporting data. I know that click-throughs to site have fallen after Google's recent changes to the UI but still just interested in initial search volume.

Searching by Demographic Group
Is there a way I can search for top sites searched by a certain demographic group. For example if I searched for: Women 60-70 the top search results would be 1. Menopause.com 2. Retirement.com etc. I want to make sure I'm interact with my customer base where they are searching and engaging the communities they find most interesting and important. I know I can search for demographic information about these specific groups, but I want to get results of top sites used by a certain age and gender. Similar to the way you can target demographic factors in Facebook advertising. Is there possibly some search operators I can use to return these type of results?

Local Search Not Responding To Optimisation
Hi guys / gals. This is quite rare for me because I normally can put together a good strategy based on the best articles / content etc I have read. However this time I am in a bit of a situation where I dont seem to be able to get results for my Google Local Listings or Google Plus Places page. The listing is good, has a description, images, url, address etc. The weakness was a lack of citations, so I got the White Spark Tool and went to work. I have probably built about 20 citations - all pretty good sites, nothing dodgy. The issue is my listing has gone the wrong way i.e. lost positions. What am I doing wrong here. Is 20 citations just not enough? Is there another ranking factor I am neglecting? I have digested this : http://www.davidmihm.com/local-search-ranking-factors.shtml Please advise peeps 🙂

Google Trends Hot Searches hourly historical data?
Is there a site that archives Google Trends' hourly Hot Searches data? I'd like to see if specific keywords were trending at a specific time yesterday. Is this data out there? Is there a different site I should be using for this info?

YouTube, Closed Captions and Search
Hey team, Just wondering if there's anyone out there that may have dabbled with YouTube closed captions and if having them has any effect at all on search results. My theory (unfounded) is that perhaps these files can be crawled (or viewed) by crawlers and/or given priority in search due to having indexible content which defines the content within the clip - which otherwise wouldn't have been known. Now, I have no evidence that this may be the case but wondering if anyone out there may have seen or read something about it. Seems like kind of a cool thing for SE's to do to help promote accessibility across teh web. Thanks guys.
