40 percent redundant content on landing pages with 60 percent unique information.

I have searched schema.org for tags to use for our redudant content on 25 unique local landing pages.
The redundant content references our services and abilities on each page.
Could anyone tell me how to retain this content and direct the search engines to disregard this portion of the landing page.
We are a WordPress site -- if there is a plugin - I would love to know which one might work, although I have not been able to find one that will protect us from duplicate content issues.

Sounds like his repeating text are bullet points highlighting his services. Not something that would be marked up.

I think it should be fine.
An image is 1 duplicate entity while a block of text is many duplicate words.
If you want to avoid the duplicate image part too, you can make it the background image to a
element via CSS.

Could you clarify what you are looking to mark up? We don't want to be a "hammer chasing a nail" with schema - there are some things which totally make sense to mark up and others not. What are these pages about (products/services?) and what specific content is within them that you're thinking about marking up?

Yes, thank you so much for the link to Matt Cutts. What he is referencing are "terms and conditions" and disclaimer language which he states is "legally" required. He specifically references pharma disclosures and those found in the finance industry.
See Google Boilerplate: Minimize boilerplate repetition: For instance, instead of including lengthy copyright text on the bottom of every page, include a very brief summary and then link to a page with more details. In addition, you can use the Parameter Handling tool to specify how you would like Google to treat URL parameters.
Our language would not be classified as "terms or conditions" nor would it be legally required.
Our language really is a series of bullet points which explain a new concept to most and why you should use us.
However, I love the idea of the image? Which leads me to another question. Are images subject to the same duplicative issues as text? I do not see how they could be. For example a logo is use on every page.

Well according to Matt Cutts, you shouldn't worry about it. An alternative is to turn the text into an image and display that instead.

Hi guys. I am quite inspired of SPA technique. It's really amazing when all your interaction with the site is going on the fly and you don't see any page reloads. I've started implementing the site with this instruction and already found nice guys to make the design. The only downside of the using SPA which I can see **is the **SEO part. Actually they have, but it looks like: yoursite.com/#/products yoursite.com/#/prices yoursite.com/#/contact So all of them goes after # and being just anchors. For Google this mean all of these pages is just yoursite.com/ My question is what is really proven method to implement the URL structure in Single Page Application, so all the pages indexed by Google correctly (sorry I don't mention the other search engines because of market share). The other question, of course, is examples. It will be great to see real life site examples, better authority sites, which use SPA technique and well indexed by search engines.1 -
Can we link back from help documents to product or features pages on website?
Hi, We have all our help documents on subdirectory linked for all the features or products we provide. Like we linked website.com/help/seo-guide from website.com/services/seo-product as that is relevant guide. Do we need to link back from all help guide pages to product pages? Thanks

Multiple sites using same text - how to avoid Google duplicate content penalty?
Hi Mozers, my client located in Colorado is opening a similar (but not identical) clinic in California. Will Google penalize the new California site if we use text from our website that features his Colorado office? He runs the clinic in CO and will be a partner of the clinic in CA, so the CA clinic has his "permission" to use his original text. Eventually he hopes to go national, with multiple sites utilizing essentially the same text. Will Google penalize the new CA site for plagiarism and/or duplicate content? Or is there a way to tell Google, "hey Google, this new clinic is not ripping off my text"?

H Tags for an Events Page
I wanted to get the thoughts of people here about how to best structure an events listing page for SEO. I have a list of events, all with dates, event titles, location name, city and zip. What I do currently is listed below. I also show a version for how I could revise it, but it would require me to duplicate the event date on the page. Using content from other sites without duplicate content penalties?
Hi there, I am setting up a website, where i believe it would substantially benefit users experience if i setup a database of information on artists. I am torn because to feasibly do this correctly, i would have content that is built from multiple sources, but has no real unique content. It would have parts from Wikipedia, parts from other websites etc. All would be sourced of-course. My concern is that if i do this, am i risking in devaluing my website because of this. Is there a way i can handle this without taking a hit?

Does on page links have an effect on SERP rankings with PANDA
I have been doing some competitive analysis basing my company on others and have noticed a pattern. Very high ranking sites seem to have limited the internal and external on page links on their subdomains to under 100. my site has a lot of links but all are relevant and lead to unique content. I am interested to know if anyone else has noticed this pattern in changes in the SERP results. bIs google now penalizing pages with to many on site nav links? And if a full site restructure is needed to allow google to index and rank these pages or if a it is a non issue and does not need to be addressed. Panda confuses me!!!!! HELP!

Best way to handle related content links in a sidebar?
My site contains tens of thousands of articles, studies, multimedia files, biographies, etc. To assist users with finding content that might be related to the page they're on, I use a side bar with 'also of interest' links to other, similar content on my site. This is, of course, pretty standard practice. Search engines -- Google in particular -- index these pages and then include the text in the sidebar links in search results. So, for example, on a given page I may have 20 links to related content, and the text in those links might be, 'A story about subject ABC.' When I search for 'A story about subject ABC,' Google returns not only the page titled (and containing the content) 'A story about subject ABC.' but also every page that links to it and happens to have that link text in the sidebar. What is the proper way to handle this kind of thing?
