What am i missing?
-
I compare my competitors and i am always higher than others (Domain authority, Page authority, Page mozrank, page moztrust, domain mozrank, domain moztrust). But some queries i am under these sites. What is the problem or how can i beat them?
P.S. : I am the newest website among them. (E-commerce and my domain register date: january 2013)

It could be the difference in your on-page optimization. Have you checked competiton vs. your pages with the http://moz.com/researchtools/on-page-grader yet?

I agree with Arjen and Keri for the most part. However, I have seen the same phenomenon you are describing. While I would definitely take a long hard look at the quality of the content and probably even the technical SEO aspects of your pages, if all other things are equal it's very likely your competitors will still outrank you based on the age of their domains. If they have been established and in business for significantly longer than you, with an online presence for significantly longer than you, it's going to be an uphill climb to outrank them. Hope that helps!

Google, Yahoo, Moz, and a bunch of other sites all have much higher stats than my site. Yet none of them are optimized for or care about scale model battleships, so my little site can outrank them. You do need to look at what is on your site too.

Domain authority, Page authority, Page mozrank, page moztrust, domain mozrank and domain moztrust all are indicators for offsite SEO. If you outperform your competitors on all of these and you do not outrank them in the SERPs, I would suggest you have a closer look at your on site SEO.

Missing H1 headings
Hi,
On-Page Optimization | | Colin12
I have an enquiry in relation to missing H1 headings. I am getting a number of these errors reported for collection pages where I am using a full width banner image at the top of the page with no visible description underneath. In these circumstances is it advisable to somehow include a H1 heading or can I ignore it? https://osullivanspharmacy.ie/collections/deep-heat0 -
Missing Meta description issue reported
Moz says missing meta description, however the meta description exists properly (using yoast plugin) eg of link reported by moz for missing meta description : https://www.basezap.com/reinstall-os-in-vps-using-solusvm-panel/ It is giving same error for many blog posts, as same time, for some articles the issue isn't reported. Although the method for meta description is same for all the posts. Can anyone explain if its a common bug in moz site analysis or I am following something wrong ?

Multiple keywords over multiple domains - am I missing the point?
This I think, is a conceptual question related to Moz/ KeywordTracking in general. Q: What is a "good" way to setup tracking for keywords across many pages, potentially multiple domains? At present I've identified some keywords that are relevant to our products. That leads me to want to track not just for a specific page, but for their rankings across multiple pages, and potentially at least two domains. One site is our main product site, the other a blog/info site. This is I suppose mostly discovery at this point. Working out what, if any, of our pages are ranking for a full set of keywords that we believe are related to our products. It may be that I'm completely missing the point of tracking, that I'm not using it as intended. I want to learn how our pages track currently (for a bunch of keywords), see that change over time as we make changes, and also visualise what we're strong in and what we're not. To me, this would let me see just where the holes are in our SEO easily. The reason I ask is that it seems I have to manually enter a keyword plus a webpage in Moz. Given I've 20-30 keywords I want to track many pages, this is going to take me "quite some time" (tm). Is there a better way to do what I describe here? Am I missing the point of keyword tracking?

Missing new pages in Search
Hi, We are on wordpress platform with category permalink structure site.com/category/categoryname. To pull in more SEO traffic, we created pages with structure site.com/categorynameand pulled in all the content from category pages to these new pages followed by applying no-follow on category pages within robots.txt. While it has been a week we applied these changes, we still see old category pages on google search with weird description ( A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt... ) How could we make search results to replace old categories links with the new pages? thanks in advance

How Much Does a Missing www. 301 redirect hurt a business?
We're preparing a report for a potential client, and are trying to figure out a way to estimate rankings gains. One of the major issues is a lack of a 301 redirect for non-www. domains to www. domains. We checked and there's no canonicalization, so it's a clear issue. According to Google, the non-www. links from 8 different domains. The www. version of the website has links from 248 different domains. Nearly all anchor text is branded, as they've never had any SEO work done before. Does anyone have a suggestion for approximating benefits of setting up their .htaccess file correctly? Would the benefits even be that great? We're of course advising additional things, but we just want to be more certain about this step's SEO-boost.
