I wish Followerwonk had the option to add Facebook and Linked in. For those of you who have used Hootsuite, is it easy to manage all of your social media accounts?
-
Hi There,
Followerwonk is great in it's analytics, tracking followers and comparing users. It has also been recently aquired by SEOMOZ.

You can use Google Analytics under Social to measure your Social and conversions on your site. I don't think it'll measure your FB Page likes, but in my GA I can see it measures the Likes of my site's URLS and the Facebook comments. If you look at this page http://www.shipoverseas.com/us/ship-car/europe/shipping-car-to-uk.html GA records the Likes (provided by AddThis) and the Facebook Comments at the bottom.

I just talked to http://www.wildfireapp.com yesterday. They want $3,500/mo!

Hi Rochelle,
I like hootsuite and you can use a shortener (within the software) for your URLs that will give you analytics. Also, recently I have started using http://www.wildfireapp.com/, which I recommend taking a look at (btw Google bought it)

Does Google give more ranking weight for Shares for One Social Network over Another.
We are using BuzzSumo to explore the types of content that generate the highest number of shares per article. Does anyone have data to suggest that a share on Google+ carries more ranking weight than a share on Twitter or Facebook, or LinkedIn? We have seen a recent case with one of our client's competitors where they significantly grew their Google+ shares within a relatively short period of time and gained a higher rank for a key search phrase that my client is also targeting. Thank you, Rosemary Brisco

Social Signals Inquiry Regarding Competitor
There is a competitor in my sites industry, and per various tools like opensitexplorer, quicksprout, and searchmetrics, they have an evenly amount of massive (100k+ per page) facebook social signals (likes, shares, comments) to around 25-50 of their top pages on their site. They have no social media presence in terms of a fan page, and they rank on the first page for almost every single keyword that is niche related. How could it be possible to naturally have the same number of facebook social signals to all of your top pages? What have they done to even accomplish this, and is it only a matter of time before Google recognizes the black hat tactics they've put in place to manipulate the search engines?

How To Use Followerwonk and Twitter for outreach link building
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with how to use follower wonk and twitter for outreach link building and offer any strategies. I'm using the following method but perhaps there are more efficient ways of doing it or other software that can aid the process. As I understand it it's a case of searching bios on followerwonk based on keywords and at the minute I'm selecting targets by social authority. (Is that the best metric or the there another one that's better?). I'm basically then following users in my niche and hoping that they follow me back. Those that do I'm then visiting their website based on the url in their twitter bio and running it through OSE to check the domain authority to see if the site authority is high enough to warrant listing them as a potential link target. If so I'm communicating with them by sharing their content, mentioning them or direct messaging them complimenting them on an article or such like. My aim is to build a relationship and eventually achieve a guest post or backlink somehow. Is this how the process should work?

Facebook competition: what's the best way to do it
Taking some advice/ideas from this seomoz blog post http://www.seomoz.org/blog/99-ways-to-build-links-by-giving-stuff-away-and-improve-your-brand-too-14029 I decided to launch a facebook competition were you like/share the product you want to win. The question is should I be looking for share or likes? From what I have read Share are more valuable than likes, but Likes would be easier to get I think (ie we could get a lot more of them). Here is an example of one of our product pages: http://www.lovefurniture.ie/sofas-furniture/corner-sofas-l-shaped-sofas/rihanna-corner-suite-with-sofabed We already have a like, tweet +1 buttons, but not a facebook share, should it be there? Any feedback or advice would be appreciated

Is there a way on OSE or any other site to find the 50 most socially shared URLs on a given domain?
I'd love to see which URLs on a specific domain get socially shared the most. I know I can use OSE to say figure out exactly how much social sharing has happened on let's say this URL:
Social Media | | Almonds
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama But what if I want to figure out the top 50 most shared URLs across all of wikipedia.org. Is that possible on OSE or anywhere else? If not, do you have some ideas on how something similar could be achieved?0
