I am looking for a reputable Q&A forum vendor. Any suggestions?

A vendor who has high domain authority; with a platform that is social media integrated, can provide a backup database, has advanced navigation options, is designed to be SEO savvy among other things...
And basically anything that I can make look similar to the SEOmoz Forum!

Thanks for the helpful advice everyone. Xenforo looks like it has everything what we need.

If you are seeking forum software that can meet your needs I highly recommend XenForo http://xenforo.com/
Facebook automatic logins and likes are integrated into the platform along with twitter widgets. SEO is integrated into the base software also with features such as friendly URLs, thread id's which allow threads to be moved without breaking URLs, HTML 5 data embedded into breadcrumbs which Google reads, and more.
I am not clear on your "provide a backup database" request. Any forum software is database dependent, and you will want to back it up regularly with a simple script. I am also not clear on "advanced navigation options".
I was in the market for forum software in January. I used phpBB previously and was very unsatisfied, but then again it was a free forum solution. I investigated IPB, vBulletin and a couple other solutions thoroughly and took the risk of going with XenForo as it was a new company. I couldn't be happier, and purchased another license this week with plans to buy more in the future.

In case you're asking about how to build a Q&A site you will likely find this link useful:
http://engineeredweb.com/blog/09/11/building-stack-overflow-clone-drupal-part-1
I also built http://www.adoptionexperts.org in drupal in about 3 days. Its a fairly simple thing to get set up, hard to seed with good content.

If you are looking for an open source solution, I recommend phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com/). We have used it for a few years for our forum and I'm happy with it.

Can Hootsuite Really Monitor Competition Activity Across the Facebook, Linked & Twitter?
I'm going round and round in circles with this one as everytime I ask Hootsuite they tell me the same thing and it does not work so here we go... I want to monitor another competitors social media activity. Specifically i want to see if they are active in Facebook, Twitter & Linked in. But am i right in saying you can only monitor social activity of a competitor if you can connect Hootsuite to there social media account via a stream. Put another way imagine Lacoste say - "Right give me a report on what Nike is doing on facebook". Is Hootsuite useless unless you can connect it to Nikes Favebook business page? My misery is best explained by this url - http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/tracking-via-hootsuite-3jpg_zps2fa47469.jpg If Hootsuite has this limitation then whats the point in Hootsuite promoting itself as a socail listening tool when as soon as you want to monitor a competitor you hit the proverbial brick wall. Maybe I'm using the wrong tool & hootsuite is limited or I'm a bit thick & it can be done. Any help welcome, I'm likely to be see jumping out of an office window in a town near you very very soon 😉

Should you have both google authorship & publisher set up on a website?
I have read that its a good idea to have both rel=author & rel= publisher set up on a website If so What is the best way to set it up to where rel=author and rel=publisher appear in your website source code? I use wordpress genesis site and have the Yoast seo plugin **In the user profile section on WP there is an area to enter google Authorship link **In the Yoast dashboard there is a place to enter google publisher link. When I check my source code…….I see rel=publisher only on the home page, however ALL my other WordPress Pages and Posts have rel=author. Does that sound correct?

Redesigning our agency site. A blank slate, any suggestions...?
I'm an SEO at a Web Design Agency and we are just about to start work on a new site. We have a complete blank slate to work with and the designers / developers will honor any requests I make. I'm not asking you guys to do my job for me, I've been doing a lot of research and I have a large feature set ready. However I am interested in what you guys would go for in this situation. What cool new SEO features can we use? Any examples of websites that you like? The creatives are very keen on HTML5, parallex scrolling and very minimalist design. I need to make sure we can achieve these things whilst also have a super optimised site. Any suggestions / examples? Thanks

Roundup of Facebook Share & Facebook Like. Which one is better for SEO?
There doesn't seem to be clear cut advice / data on whether Facebook Share or Facebook Like is more valuable from an SEO standpoint. So I'm asking you SEOmoz fans have you come across conclusive evidence or have your own sites / testes proven that one is stronger than the other.

How to Position Yourself When Doing Link Building & Outreach on behalf of Clients?
One of the things we struggle with is how to position ourselves when doing outreach such as link building on behalf of a client. We know many times it is best for outreach to come directly from the client themselves so that it comes across as more genuine. However, some clients prefer to outsource the entire process. When doing outreach on behalf of clients, how do you position yourself? Are you typically transparent about being a marketer working for an agency, or do you spin it more as being someone 'with' the company? Does it ever make sense to use aliases?
