Can anyone share typically what a US Based SEO Agency should or would charge for creating good quality backlinks? All of the pages we are targeting have been optimized with quality content and are ranking half decent. The keywords we are targeting are med-high competition keywords. We've located a few offshore agencies with prices in the 100$ range for 10 keywords but are leery of moving forward, currently it's the cost we are paying for 1 Keyword here in the US.

Being solidly on page 2 and 3 after only 14 months means you are doing great. I have sites that are 5 and 7 years old that still show up on page 2 for some of the keyword phrases we target.
PPC can be a powerful way to cover the gap until you get on page 1. It all really depends on what your market is. Some high competition areas (like weight loss, or payday loans) are outrageously expensive. Other areas (like garden tools) are fairly cheap. I find it profitable for some of my items, but not for all. After running campaigns for a while, pause the losers and let the winners run. If your area is not highly competitive, you can do a lot of PPC for the cost of a $100 link...

I don’t think there is a fixed cost for building quality links. My advice would be to talk to different agencies and ask them what will be their action plan and then decide the cost accordingly.
If the strategies will Include Link Baiting, then probably the charges will land on the higher side but if the strategy will be to get links from brand mentions, infographics, blogging and other content marketing then prices might land in the medium range.
Keep that in mind quality link building is never cheap!

I'm not an SEO pro, just a guy with a couple of ecommerce stores trying to keep up with the changes. But getting to pages 2 or 3 does mean you are doing the basics right. The way I understand is that it takes an additional "order of magnitude" of effort and luck to jump up each page level.
So if jumping from page 4 to page 3 requires an effort level 6, then jumping from page 3 to page 2 will take and effort of 60, and jumping from page 2 to page 1 will take an effort of 600.
How long has it taken for your site to get to the page 2/3 zone?

For a Med-High competition keyword typically how long do you think it should take to crack top 10? We have good quality links & content but the overall DA is a bit low when comparing competitors. All strategies follow Google guidelines and are completely 100% white hat. We find ourselves ranking but stuck on pg 2-3.

I just finished doing a little research on hiring a group to help with link building. All the quality places wanted about $200 per link. So if you are happy with the links you get for $100 each, it's probably best to stick with them. Can you share the name of your current source?
$10 a link from some mysterious overseas agency sounds way too dangerous. Besides, the SEO value of one great link will probably easily be 10x that of some crappy link....

About link building strategies and article publishing
Hi friends. What could be the best strategies for article publishing with links and anchor text. I did the next. I published original article in my website blog section and then next day published the same article in few news portals with links and anchor text to product landing pages. But google indexed only article from my blog. News portal in my country is with highest DA. Is it ok to do this way or better is make uncial article for every news portal and do not publish in own blog so there is no duplicates? I am afraid that doing my way is waste of time and money. Link building / baiting in the Google zoo
I work for a consultancy, and in the past most of our links have been acquired by giving away privacy statements etc for websites, including a link back in the body of the document, and making it a licensing requirement that the link be kept. We're launchinga new site. We want this one to be whiter-than-white, and would appreciate some advice on the following options. Option 1: no links Remove the links from the documents, and don't require links for the use of the documents. Leave a non-linking credit in the documents. Perhaps ask nicely for links from other pages. Option 2: links on other pages Remove the links from the documents, but make it a licensing requirement that users will link to our site from another page on their site. I appreciate that most won't, but some will. Option 3: retain the links Keep the links in the document, using domain name (with and without http and www) and business name anchor text. Option 4: script the links Use scripts to generate randomized links in the documents, so that no two are the same, but with relevant linking text for the most part. We're risk-adverse with the new site, and it will pick up some links "naturally". We're therefore tending toward option 1, on the basis that it may well generate as many links as option 2. Which of these options would you choose? Are there any other options we should be considering?

I want to know about process, method or tool which can help me to define quality of external website during link building. We are searching too many questions and topics on Google to resolve daily mind bubbles which land us on different website with different subject. I found that, I was able to drop my website URL over there but confuse about quality of website. I am selling Football and create external link from baby care website. So, will it make sense? When rebuilding a site, when should you start building links?
We are in the process of completely rebuilding our web presence. We went ahead and started a blog using Hubspot while we are redesigning everything and writing all new content. The new site will be live in early August. The question is when do we start making a big push with Linkbuilding? Is there a cost per acuqistion figure I can quote that if I hire an agency to link build that we can guarantee a level of increased traffic from Google?
I am looking to justify to a pubilsher the cost outlay to hire an agency to do white hat link building for me as we do not have time. (the site is fully optimised but we lack the inbound links our competitors have) - is there a way I can explain in terms of numbers ie page impressions that if we build for eg 10k high quality anchor text links into our site we will get x thousand more page impressions as our rankings in the search engines will increase? Just need a justification before the budget is allocated.
