Structured data - Schema is Good for SEO !
So ...
Check if structured data aka schema, microdata is being used on any given web page with webmaster tools <a>www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets</a>If you are trying to improve the page you can also use the Structured Data Markup Helper - html conversion tool to have Google auto-add schema to the page after you choose the relevant category:
<a>https://www.google.com/webmasters/markup-helper/</a>This is of course just one more method to use in addition to others mentioned.

I apologize I literally thought he was speaking about the way a website looks or its UX When you say website design did you mean more than the actual way the site looks? I gave him the links to a bunch of tools that used appropriately can teach someone quite a bit about at the usability of a website. I did not think that the question was regarding a site audit.
Varun I apologize and misunderstood your question. If you want more information on how to audit your site definitely follow the links that Keri has already giving you.
obviously you want to see if your site is experiencing issues that would be threatening to your websites user experience however I would start with making sure that it crawls well running a campaign here in Moz
another quick tool that you can use that I'm happy to see back is

screaming frog SEO spider is a fantastic tool to diagnose issues with your site architecture. You can download it for free, and it will crawl up to 500 pages after that you have to pay 100 British pounds which currently is about close to $160 USD as of this post.
that will allow you to have all the features that the tool advertises. Using that with the http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/screaming-frog-guide
is a powerful combination.
I thought you literally meant design and UX Only.

When I want a fast general overview of a website SEO Potential, I check using 2 Moz Tools, On-Page Grader and Open Site explorer... plus a get a traffic estimate from some spy tool like similarweb.com However a full audit is need to know deeper about a website.

Are you asking about an existing site that's already in use? What could help then is doing a site audit. We have two Moz posts that have a lot of information about how to do an audit and uncover potential SEO flaws.

I don't think all of these meet what the OP is asking for. Most of these sites are for prototyping or user testing, and not for examining an existing site for SEO.

HTML and XML sitemaps for one website.
Hi all, First, we have created a HTML sitemap for our wordpress website. Then we again generated XML sitemap and submitted same in search console. It's been more than a week and still new XML sitemap has not been indexed yet. I can still only see HTML sitemap for search results "company sitemap". Also search console do have only XML sitemap. Both sitemaps are accessible but only HTML has been indexed. Is there anything wrong having 2 sitemaps? Why XML sitemap not been indexed? Thanks

Do more links from sub-domains to domain (website) hurt rankings?
Hi all, If there are multiple sub-domains like abc.website.com, 123.website.com, etc...and if the top pages of website are linked from multiple sub-domains via top menu or footer links; will this hurts? Will too much interlinking of few top pages of a website from it's sub-domains dilute link juice? How many links ideally we can add to website from a sub-domain? Thanks

Best way to handle Spanish/English WEBSITE
Hey guys, How are you doing? I have a website (www.aceromart.com ) in which the primary language is Spanish. The company is oriented toward the Mexican Audience. However, recently we are dealing with many U.S companies. Also, we want to be included in the Yahoo Directory and several other directories which demand a U.S version of the website. So i want to have a U.S version of the website. My ecommerce is based in the NETWORK Solutions platform and has around 1,000 products and pages. What is the best information architecture for developing local seo pages?
I think I have a good handle on the external local seo factors such as citations but I'd like to determine the best IA layout for starting a new site or adding new content to a local site. I see lots of small sites with duplicate content pages for each town/area which I know is poor practice. I also see sites that have unique content for each of those pages but it seems like bad design practice, from a user perspective, to create so many pages just for the search engines. To the example... My remodeling company needs to have some top level pages on its site to help the customers learn about my product, call these "Kitchen Remodeling" and "Bathroom Remodeling" for our purposes. Should I build these pages to be helpful to the customer without worrying too much about the SEO for now and focus on subfolders for my immediate area which would target keywords like "Kitchen Remodeling Mytown"? Aside from my future site, which is not a priority, I would like to be equipped to advise on best practices for the website development in situations where I am involved at the beginning of the process rather than just making the local SEO fit after the fact. Word Press Seo Errors/ Questions
Hi my name is Tina I am new here I hope you guys can help me out. I thought building my new site with Word Press was going to simplify things, however I have a ton of errors, and I am not sure what they are, or how to fix them. I am hoping someone could share with me a solution for these errors. I have 28 rel=canonical errors, I am not sure what this means, I understand it to mean my pages are similar, and this is to set a heirarchy between my pages. Please correct me if I am wrong. If I am correct would this be necessary to add if my main keyword was "widgets" and my home page was optimized for "widgets" and my next page was "blue widgets" and so on. While my pages are similar they are all optimized for different versions of my main keyword some using long tail keywords. Do you know of a plugin that can help solve this problem? Also does anyone have a plugin they recommend for G+ my G+ authorship verification is causing an error as well? I am using Head Space 2 I have used this seo plugin numerous times with great success it has been my favorite seo plugin. However, we have a portfolio that shows our clients websites, and on those pages Head Space will not let me enter a description tag. What plug in do you guys recommend with more control over each page? Another interesting issue is on one of our pages I optimized it for our Canadian clients, and now every page has been listed in Google.ca for the keywords it should have on Google.com. We are listed on Google maps, verified in Google places, and our address is on the site so they know we're from the USA however, the majority of our keywords are only listed in Google.ca. We're on page one for all of them, we are in the top three on most of them so that's not bad, but we want to be listed in Google.com as well. Any suggestions on this?

How would restructuring the navigation of my website affect my rankings?
I want to restructure the navigation of my website for a few reasons: 1. It isn't intuitive/clear to the user 2. It is way too big, it has too many links and thus causes the number of links on many pages to be >100. 3. I want to get rid of file extensions as part of the URLs (.html, .php) 4. I want to achieve a "tree"-like navigation system, with categories, subcategories and so on. In the process of cleaning up my website, I had to 301 redirect a lot of duplicate pages, fix broken links, etc. I have a lot of 301 redirects already, and in the process of restructuring the navigation of my website I know I'm going to get more. Will the addition of new 301 redirects have an effect on my rankings? (I'm basically going to be changing all of the URLs) What kind of SEO effect will restructuring the navigation at the top of the page (reducing the # of links on the main menu) have on my site? What is the best strategy to implement in this situation?
