Sitelinks Disappeard For My Site
-
Hi Guys
I noticed that all the sitelinks for my site has disappeared.
Could it be because of recent changes that I made to the site or maybe because I submitted a new sitemap for my site?
Should I ask the googlebot to fetch my site now again after I submitted my sitemap and also ask to re-index it?
I also read somewhere else that Google could be re-indexing my site and thus still needs to determine what my sitelinks is going to be.
If somebody could please give me some advice on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Dave

My sitelinks disappeared last week. I was frantically searching for reasons why and then 10 minutes later it was back. I wouldn't get too stressed for now. Wait and see if they come back. Google may be experimenting with some algo changes and perhaps they only show sitelinks for certain queries and not every single time.

Hi,
Sitemap is not a reason of disappearing of your site-links. Please check the URL which you have resubmitted for example if your site is index with www or you have submitted your sitemap without www version URLs, and also check preferred version in Google webmaster tool. If you have set your sitelinks in Google webmaster then don't worry only check the new sitemap.

Should I buy an expired domain that has already been redirected to some other website? Can I use it or redirect it to my own site if I purchase it?
I was going to purchase an expired domain but then I came to know that it has been redirected to some other website. I have two questions: Can I build a website around this domain if I purchase it? and will the Domain Authority remains the same ? Can I redirect it to my own site? and will all the Link Juice flow to my site?

Google still showing sitelinks from old website
Hi guys, we relaunched our website www.segafredo.com.au a few weeks ago, however google is still showing site links from our old page that no longer exist... Is there anything we can do about this? Sit back and wait or try demoting the old urls in webmaster tools? Looking forward to see your tips! Ciao, Manny.

SEO Risks for redirecting sites
Hey Everyone, I've tried searching for this question, but am not exactly sure what keywords to search for so I'm probably missing the resources if they already exist... My client has had duplicated sites for years, and after multiple penalizations of those sites I was finally able to convince him to consolidate them into a "mega-site". Currently, he has a main domain, a geo-subdomain for each office location under the main domain, and a geo-domain for each office location. We plan on redirecting each geo-domain to the corresponding geo-subdomain. So, the final result will be one main domain, and a sub-domain for each office location. I'm looking for any information regarding tracking SEO data after the redirects are in place, how to guard against potential drops in SERPs, what's the smartest strategy to implement, etc... My client is very sensitive to his sites' SEO data, so if anyone has any SEO-related advice regarding redirecting sites it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Build a site, do SEO work on it and sell it?
Does anybody do this? With success? I keep finding industries right here in my local area (concrete work, home security, painting) that have 4-5 local companies that are competing and NONE of them are doing even the most BASIC items to seo their site or capitalize on ANYTHING online. I could pick 7-8 of these industries and have somebody who works for me spend a couple hours a week on each building links and writing a half way interesting blog post, etc. and once they rank higher than most of the competition sell em for 2-3 grand I bet, especially since I can prove how much traffic they are getting. Thoughts? Thanks for weighing in. Matthew

My site was hit by the Penguin Update, Now What?
My site is very young, having only been up for about a month and a half. Despite being nascent we were seeing a ton of organic traffic. Enter Google Penguin update.... Traffic is down 40% or so over the past week. So, assuming the damage has been done, the question is, what do we do next to start moving back towards where we were? If we're doing everything everything right do we just chalk it up to the fact that our site is very new and stay the course on original content and link building? I know you can submit your site for reconsideration which is something that we are going to do this week, but I wonder what else we can do to start edging back to where we were pre-penguin update. Maybe this would be a good Whiteboard Friday topic.

Any pointers for my site would be greatly apprecieated and rewarded.
We just started changing all the meta data and adding relevant blog content. Anything I'm missing? Any advise or "after panda" link building strategies? inkfarm.com

How does recent Google update affect e-commerce sites:
Most ecommerce sites use the original manufacturer product descriptions in their content. The product features and specifications are the content made by the manufacturer. Sometimes manufacturers insist that the ecommerce sites should use their original content and it is impossible to change what available in the original content and rewrite it.
