Unfortunately, three competitors is currently the limit for each campaign. Moz Analytics is being built to support 5 competitors, however, so we should be able to support more competitors per campaign in the future. Keep an eye out for the full release of Moz Analytics for this update to the tool!

A competitor's SEO firm is building spammy links to my website. I know the disavow link process, but even this can be time consuming. Is there a better way to protect my website? Any and all ideas appreciated.... Are there any cool Moz tools that can help me manage this assault? Sorry, just a follow up from me... It appears that many of the spammy links (referrals) I see in Google Analytics are not present in Google WebMaster Tools. Is The Number of Duplicate Pages reduced after adding canonical ref to the dupe versions ?

Hi Is the number of duplicate pages reported in a dupe page content error report reduced on subsequent crawls, if you have resolved the dupe content problem via adding the canonical tag to duplicate versions (referring the original page). Like it would if you were solving the problem via a 301 redirect (i think/presume) ? Cheers Dan

Total number of outbound external links?

Hi Mozzers, Is anyone aware of a tool that will tell me how many outbound external links there are on my website? Basically, I have a theory that our website is littered with links to other websites, but need to know the approximate figure. As far as I can tell, none of the Moz tools tell me this? Backlink of competitor inner page

How to understand from where the link to a competitor's internal page http://www.exampledomain.com/contest/book are coming? I mean, we want promote the same "event" but we want understanding where the competitor is already present. Open Site Explorer doesn't have any data for the website listed but I'm sure that the page has a lot of backlinks (I've verified the first 50 manually in Google.it) Many Thanks for all your advices.

Greater Number of Linking Domains in Anchor Text Excel Export?

I exported the anchor text for a domain from Opensite Explorer and when I sum the "Number of Linking Root Domains Containing Anchor Text" it is higher than the total amount of linking root domains for the site. Is this because some domains use multiple anchor text links, so it is counted more than once in the exported spreadsheet?

Wild fluctuation in number of pages crawled

I am seeing huge fluctuations in the number of pages discovered the crawl each week. Some weeks the crawl discovers > 10,000 pages and other weeks I am seeing 4-500. So, this week for example I was hoping to see some changes reflected for warnings from last weeks report (which discovered > 10,000 pages). However, the entire crawl this week was 448 pages. The number of pages discovered each week seems to go back and forth between these two extremes. The more accurate count would be nearer the 10,000 mark than the 400 range. Thanks. Mark

How to tell where a competitor's Facebook Shares are coming from?

Is there a way to tell where a competitor's facebook shares and likes are coming from? How to also tell what ads they have running in Facebook and their spend? I am looking at OSE's data and its telling me a competitor has 8.5K Facebook shares and 1K facebook likes. I go to their facebook page and it has about 25 likes. This site should not have anywhere close to the facebook shares/likes its receiving so wondering where they are getting their boosted traffic from.

Can someone explain why I have been seeing an increase in the number of Linking Page URLs in OSE that link directly to downloads?

Ever since the last couple Linkscape updates when doing competitive back link analysis I have noticed a large increase in the number of URLs of Linking Pages in OSE that result in an immediate file download. The majority of the time these downloads are not common files ie PDF, DOC files. For example, these were all in a competitors back link profile: http://download.unesp.br/linux/debian/pool/main/i/isc-dhcp/isc-dhcp-relay-dbg_4.1.1-P1-17_ia64.deb http://snow.fmi.fi/data/20090210_eurasia_sd_025grid.mat http://www.rose-hulman.edu/class/me/HTML/ES204_0708_S/working model examples/Le25 mad hatter.wm?a=p&id=145880&g=5&p=sia&date=iso&o=ajgrep These are just a few I came across for a single competitor. Is this sketchy black hat SEO, some sort of error, actual links, or something else? Any information on this subject would be helpful. Thank you.
