Alternatives to HARO?
-
Hello all,
Been happily using HARO for some time now, but was looking for some supplemental ideas/locations for hooking up some of my clients as sources. Any ideas/suggestions are definitely welcome.
Thanks!

HARO's great when a journalist posts a request to it, but the limitation is that only a very small portion of journalists post for sources before writing their story. But almost all journalists are tweeting about and writing about what they're interested in, which is why we built Muck Rack (I'm the founder, so a little bias obviously). We index all the tweet and articles of journalists, let you search them to build a media list, and then enable you to pitch them through our messaging system or by email.
We also have an email alert tool that will notify you whenever a journalist tweets about or shares a story with your keyword.

I follow someone on Twitter called @Journorequest. They tweet and RT with the hashtag #journorequest in a fashion similar to HARO. I've also uncovered http://www.responsesource.com/index_journalist.php. I have not used either so I can't speak to their quality

Group Yext accounts or Cheaper alternatives
Hello Moz Friends, So I wanted to ask a quick question. About 2 months ago I was on the phone with a Yext representative and they were doing a demo with me of their services. I said that I did not have many clients ye and was offered a deal that wet like this: Pay $300 now and then pay $50.00 per month per location. Then all of the sudden the guy said his day was over and had to go. I never heard from him again. So I wanted to ask if anyone sells Yext services? and if this special sounds right? I am just starting my official seo consulting business and Yext is expensive for the startups like me. So maybe you know of some alternatives or cheaper solution for doing mass citations at one time? Thank you ever and happy 4th!

Is linkdetective.com officially dead? Does anyone know of any inexpensive tools that we can use to classify link types, e.g. resource link, blogroll, sidebar, etc. for link building?

Any alternatives to BuzzStream?
I like the functionality of BuzzStream when it comes to managing contact people from easily collected websites via bookmarklet. You can maintain relationship with many people for possible backlink opportunities. Are there any alternatives to BuzzStream that enables CRM-like relationship management with somewhat focus on link building?

HARO (Help a reporter out)
Hi there, I'm always trying to think of new ways of getting great links and thought HARO could be really beneficial to our SERPs, the only issue I think is that we are a UK website and mainly the reporters are based in the USA, writing for Chicago Tribune, NY magazines etc, is this an issue?, here are a few more questions: Has anyone had success using HARO? Anyone outside the USA had success with HARO? Kind Regards
