I am confused on adding Google+ authorship markup to a multiauthor WP blog
-
The blog for a client is at http://blog.multiview.com . I am not sure how to tell them to add Google+ authorship tags to the site, and link the posts to the individual G+ profiles of each individual author. One source shows it is highly complex, seesee http://searchengineland.com/the-definitive-guide-to-google-authorship-markup-123218 However, in the Google webmaster account, there is a real simple explanation, i.e. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2539557?hl=en Considering that this is an area that is very murky for me, is one of these directives out of date? Is one preferable? How complicated would that be, for this particular blog?

We use the All in One SEO plugin which allows us to add the Google Plus profile URL for each user. Then we go to the Google Plus user page and the blog as a place they contribute to.
It seems to work pretty well for us.

If you do what is suggested in the second link you give, that will work but is a manual process.
Not every page that someone authors should be included as an authored page - only the good, high quality articles so doing it manually is a way to ensure you only cherry pick the best content to claim authorship for.
If you use a plugin, you can end up linking back from everything whether you like it or not. Apart from only claiming authorship for your best content I think it is better to link back to your author page and then link once (per author) back to the Google profile. We created a WordPress plugin that does this called AuthorSure. It is used by a lot of multi-author blogs and gives you granularity of control over what you link to. If you happen to use WordPress and want a plugin solution it is the best one I know of ;-).

Hi there,
It can seem a bit daunting but essentially what you want to do is this (the simple form)
- Link the authors Google+ account with the site (contribute to X site)
- On each post the author writes you want the authorship tag going to their profile or/as well as a physical link like "follow X author on their Link Google plus account" etc. that helps tell Google the author
If you're not sure, you can test the whole thing here - http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets
This links seems to be the right way to go - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2539557?hl=en if you want it a bit more step by step
Hope that helps.

We changed our domain, I used the move tool in Google Search Console and I am having our site redirected and go daddy, and now I spoke with someone who suggest we do a 301 redirect for all pages on our site and I’m not sure that’s the correct move.
We just changed our domain name after 15 years. when I bought the new domain name I called Go Daddy and they instructed me to contact my google G sweet admin account and change all of our emails over which I did and then I went into Shopify who is my host and changed my primary domain there and then I went back to Go Daddy and had my old website forwarded to my new site. since then there has been nothing but problems with Google. my product feed from my merchant center account has been suspended three or four times now, I tried to rename and move all of my Google accounts from my old domain to my new one, but I am not an SEO person... after making the changes I have started google chats with analytics department with the merchant center with Google as they all keep saying that it looks fine but I’m not convinced because the product feed keeps getting disapproved. So I posted an ad for help and the Guy I spoke with suggested I do a 301 redirect for every single page on my old site, But I’m concerned that might confuse things further? I’ve already started the move in Google Search console And in Shopify I added the old domain back into the domains section and am having it redirectEd that way too... I guess I’m just looking to know which way I should proceed, any and all advice is warmly welcome thank you in advance Maureen

Google Remarketing Conversions - Possible Issue
Hi All, When it comes to Google Adwords, when considering conversions, Google assigns each conversion back to the click that originally drove that visitor on the day they clicked. so, even if someone converts today, Google would show that conversion as occurring two weeks ago when the visitor originally clicked on a paid search ad and came to my site. fine...whatever. My question now is if we use a remarketing campaign through the Display Network, and someone converts, will that conversion be shown under their new visit or back on their original click where they did not originally convert, causing them to be included in our remarketing audience? Cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere and hoping someone out there has some guidance.

Google Merchant/ Googlebase Images at top of SERPS
Hi We are based in the UK and the new merchant rules have recently been applied here. We offer free shipping but now most of our click throughs come from the images at the top of the SERPS that simply give an image and a price. The prices do not include shipping and there's no indication to the user that shipping is included. Hence our conversion rate from PPC is way down. Is there any way to counter this or do we just need to go back to charging for shipping? Thanks!

Have Google Shopping show site listings instead of Amazon and eBay listings
An e-commerce site I'm currently working with also has storefronts on eBay and Amazon. When searching Google Shopping, their Amazon and eBay product listings come up but NOT their primary site's listings. Can anyone shed some light on how to a) feed the main site's products to Google Shopping and subsequently b) have Google remove the eBay and Amazon listings? Obviously, this would be a boon to business and hey wouldn't have to pay the Amazon and eBay fees associated with each sale. Thanks for any help!

Will adding to a video's length affect my Rich Snippets?
Most people get to the end of my videos, 85% or so, but there's no call to action at the end of them. So I'd like to suggest what they could do or read next; along the lines of 'Add to basket and receive your XYZ tomorrow'. This will make the video longer and therefore google will know it has changed, I guess. I see no reason for them to object to this but you never you.

Google Plus account - Should I use Brand or Product Type
Hi Let's assume that our company's name is "Smith Computers" and we specialize in Ultrabooks (for those who don't know - super light and slim computers - a niche within computers for the matter). Under which name would you open the Plus account - Smith Computers Ultrabooks Smith Ultrabooks Smith Ultrabooks Computers The example is not 100% but the question remains - No one knows Smith Computers and even if we turn up in search results for computers, the customers are not looking for our type products.

However, it is our brand name! Ultrabooks - I assume it will help us gain followers faster but will be hard to brand. The followers will be people who like the product and not the company but might be good people to sell to in the future. I'd say that option 3 is half branding and option 4 is 75% branding 🙂
Both will also have good chances to pop up in search results. The company at hand is a family owned business. We do not plan to rule the industry but rather taking it to the next level. We do not count on having thousands of people searching Google for "Smith Computers" like Best Buy etc. Please consider that at the end we want to use it both for promoting our brand (slowly) but also (and maybe mainly) SEO (by getting more people that click +1 onsite). We currently have lots of Facebook followers but naturally they only Like and not +1 Please help...0 -
Call extension only showing with some keywords/ads?
I've enabled Call Extensions with Call Forwarding on my Adwords Campaign (found out Location Extension must be enabled, so enabled that, but left out phone number in location settings). I thought these extensions should work on a campaign level. However, I can only see the google voice call forwarding extension on some of my keywords/ads. What's up?
