B2B Marketing
-
It's about B2B marketing, my job is to search the target audience on LinkedIn & engage with them. I am sharing thought leadership on specific groups to increase the visits to our site. But, my ultimate aim is to reach the maximum number of people & make these people to share my thought leadership. There are lots of content on B2B marketing on the internet but it’s easier said than done. I am interested in knowing your experience.

I would say share not only your stories but others from news sites in your niche as well. Try to become a "Top Contributor" in those groups on LinkedIn and usually your stories will get more attention and interaction.
-
I am managing the LinkedIn profile of an industry expert & promoting his thought leadership. I am focusing on decision science groups.

One of the nice things that was added to LinkedIn is the company profile pages, and being able to create your own groups.
"thought leadership on specific groups"
What is the specific group you are trying to target? It would be possible to create a group on LinkedIn, around your subject matter, and invite your contacts to join. If I remember correctly, you can only invite 50 people from your contacts once the group is set up. By posting good relevant info, I dont think you will have a problem getting the exposure you desire.

Content Marketing and Twitter
Hello, I'd like to improve how I use twitter for pushing a piece of content. Here's what I am planning to do currently: First, we created a useful piece of content for a niche where we'll be appealing to the humanitarian side of thing. Nothing like this piece of content is on the web. The subject is not mouthwateringly attractive to other websites, but it is good, very useful, authoritative and uses the information we have in our niche. For Twitter, we plan to pick a website carefully that could use our content and 1. of course follow that site on twitter 2. Retweet 2 or 3 relevant good tweets the site has put out. If the person I want to contact has a twitter account, retweet some of his too. 3. Tweet a general tweet about a good article or blog post the site has with a link to the site and the article. 4. Tweet at a specific person in the site's company (or to the general twitter account if there isn't anyone specific) asking if they need help with content if it is well written and useful, then later tweeting introducing our article. Email will also be used. I'm really new to using twitter for content marketing, any help is appreciated. Facebook liking/sharing as well as blog comment posting along with adding to g plus circles will also be used. Thanks.

B2B Social Media Creeping
I recently posted an (insightful) comment in a LinkedIn group. I can see that someone from this group has taken a look at my profile, so I'm assuming that they read my comment and they were at least a little intrigued as to who exactly I was. I would regard this person as a prospect. Maybe a slightly unlikely prospect as there's a couple thousand miles that separate us geographically. I'm wondering what sort of etiquette/best practices there are for connecting somehow with this person/company. Initially I thought I'd follow them on Twitter, maybe like them on Facebook, but they have no such presence. I like the idea of connecting with them that way because it's a 'soft' connection - not too aggressive. Doing something like emailing or calling and saying 'Hey, saw that you looked at my LinkedIn profile', seems creepy & desperate. Even sending an invitation to connect seems a little too forward. I feel the only thing to do is to continue to involve myself in this group by posting thoughtful & insightful comments in order to get noticed further that way.

Best way to utilize a BBC television appearance for Internet Marketing
I was just contacted by BBC and asked to appear on a breakfast program talking about psychotherapy. It is not certain that it is going ahead but more likely than not. Assuming it does what would you say would be the best way to utilise this opportunity through marketing (particularly internet marketing) afterwards? If this goes ahead I would be at the studio for 7am or so and be gone by 9am or so. My website only gets a few hundred visitors through organic traffic and my Twitter and other social media accounts were only started recently so have fairly low levels of followings.

Sherpas for a journey of best practices for social media marketing?
What are early-stage (0-6 months) best practices for social media marketing in a business to business market? Our customers are professional buyers of electronic components. We are doing it backwards. We registered Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and a few more. +5 for initiative. -5 for not having a social media marketing plan. -5 for not having someone helping us who really knows how to engage with our audience. This is also a humble request to SMM gurus out there who have room for a new client. I'm looking for our sherpa. Thanks!

Social Media Marketing focus and priorities for SEO
Hello Mozzers, I'm looking at Social Media Marketing and wondering what counts for most in terms of SEO - (A) shares and likes from specific web pages, or (B) followers, likes, etc., on social media profile pages? What does Google measure vis-a-vis your website? Also, regarding Twitter, if a twitterer forwards on a tweet manually (by inserting RT) - and his RT is then shared, does that count for anything, or is it better for clients if RTweeters simply press the RT button. And should I include URLs in tweets, facebook posts, etc? And do backlinks help beyond increasing website visitor numbers - do any of the social media marketing tools pass juice back to websites via backlinks? Thanks in advance :), Luke

Viral Marketing Question: If you build a truly great piece of content, what are the best ways to seed it?
Say the site is a 2 year old eCommerce company that has this awesome clever infographic but not many blogger connections. What would be the best ways to get that content syndicated? What agencies are still left that do actual viral marketing now that Rand and Todd Malicoat have moved on the greener pastures?
