How to Index Faster?
-
Hello,
I have a new website and updated fresh content regularly. My indexing status is very slow.
When I search how to improve my indexing rate by Google, I found most of the members of Moz community replied there is no certain technique to improve your indexing. Apart from this you should keep posting fresh content more and more and wait for Google Indexing.
Some of them asked for submitting sitemap and share posts on Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.
Well the above comments are from the year of 2012.
I'm curious to know is there any new technique or methods are used to improve indexing rate?
Need your suggestions!
Thanks.

As mentioned earlier, you can create a comprehensive Sitemap.xml file and resubmit to Google. Give me your email address, I will create one for you and send it

The site has about 140 articles as of now. So there are 140 post URLs. This apart, there are many category, tags, author pages. So the number should be 230 URLs as indicated by Google. However, Google may show only post pages no a priority. This is just my hunch. Thanks,
-
Nevermind, there are about 497 pages on your website. So, I would ask you to use a comprehensive sitemap.xml file and submit it to Google. You can use a tool like GSite crawler to generate one.

Thanks for your help, Kavit
the website's URL is www.getyourtips.com
As per the results shown by PageSpeed test on Google, the website scores 69 out of 100 on mobile devices and 79 out of 100 on desktop PCs.

While there's still room for improvement, I think the scores aren't that bad at the moment? Please, take a look at the site and let me know if I could change some properties to make it load even faster.
This is a brand new website (just 2 month old) and it might take a while to establish authority or get some PageRank. Considering these, what should be the best foot forward?
Thanks,
-
Thanks for the info Susanta. After a quick check, I see the sitemap.xml that you submitted has only 130 URLs in it and there are 230 pages (omitted after 182) indexed in Google from your website. So, can you tell me how many pages are there in total in your website?

Hi Devanur,
Thanks for the help! Here's the URL of my website www.getyourtips.com
Here's a screenshot of the index status of the website on GWT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nyrwjvvmt0novu7/Screenshot 2014-06-10 14.32.12.png
Here's a screenshot of the search queries page: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2js1oqtrtseg56g/Screenshot 2014-06-10 14.38.30.png
The website is a little over 2 months old.
We have submitted the Sitemap already.
We used to post 4 posts per day during the launch of the website but we have reduced the posting to just one per day since last week.
Would like to know if there is anything more we should do apart from submitting sites to different blog feeds to get the index more frequently.
Thanks,
-
Hi Susanta,
If I was you, I would focus on site performance. Having a fast responsive site means you can expose more of your site & contents to Google during each crawl.
If you have all this great content, it might be a matter of making the site faster so that Google can index more each time.
Crawl rates and indexation are largely affected by your PageRank and Authority with Google so this does get better with time as your site improves in these areas.

Hi Susanta,
If you can share the URL of your domain, we will be able to answer better as the rate of indexing differs from site to site and also depends on lot of things like the website internal linking structure, website architecture, your backlinks and the list goes on..
Sitemap.xml is definitely a good way to give the indexing rate of your website a boost. But the story does not end there as there are lot of things that come in to play.
Best regards,
Devanur Rafi

Google only indexing the top 2/3 of my page?
HI, I have a page that is about 5000 lines of code total. I was having difficulty figuring out why the addition of a lot of targeted, quality content to the bottom of the pages was not helping with rankings. Then, when fetching as Google, I noticed that only about 3300 lines were getting indexed for some reason. So naturally, that content wasn't going to have any effect if Google in not seeing it. Has anyone seen this before? Thoughts on what may be happening? I'm not seeing any errors begin thrown by the page....and I'm not aware of a limit of lines of code Google will crawl. Pages load under 5 seconds so loading speed shouldn't be the issue. Thanks, Kevin

Need help in de-indexing URL parameters in my website.
Hi, Need some help.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | ImranZafar
So this is my website _https://www.memeraki.com/ _
If you hover over any of the products, there's a quick view option..that opens up a popup window of that product
That popup is triggered by this URL. _https://www.memeraki.com/products/never-alone?view=quick _
In the URL you can see the parameters "view=quick" which is infact responsible for the pop-up. The problem is that the google and even your Moz crawler is picking up this URL as a separate webpage, hence, resulting in crawl issues, like missing tags.
I've already used the webmaster tools to block the "view" parameter URLs in my website from indexing but it's not fixing the issue
Can someone please provide some insights as to how I can fix this?0 -
Why Google isn't indexing my images?
Hello, on my fairly new website Worthminer.com I am noticing that Google is not indexing images from my sitemap. Already 560 images submitted and Google indexed only 3 of them. Altough there is more images indexed they are not indexing any new images, and I have no idea why. Posts, categories and other urls are indexing just fine, but images not. I am using Wordpress and for sitemaps Wordpress SEO by yoast. Am I missing something here? Why Google won't index my images? Thanks, I appreciate any help, David xv1GtwK.jpg

Why is page still indexing?
Hi all, I have a few pages that - despite having a robots meta tag and no follow, no index, they are showing up in Google SERPs. In troubleshooting this with my team, it was brought up that another page could be linking to these pages and causing this. Is that plausible? How could I confirm that? Thanks,

My indexed pages count is shrinking in webmaster tools. Is this normal ?
I noticed that our total # of indexed pages dropped recently by a substantial amount (see chart below) Is this normal? http://imgur.com/4GWzkph Also, 3 weeks after this started dropping, we got a message on increased # of crawl errors and found that a site update was causing 300+ new 404s. could this be related ?

Few questions regarding wordpress and indexing/no follow.
I'm using Yoast's Wordpress SEO plugin on my wordpress site which allows you to quickly set up nofollow / no index on specific taxonomies. I wanted to see what you guys thought was the best practice in setting up my various taxonomies. Would you noidex, but follow all of these, none of these, or just some of these: Categories, tags, media, author archives ( (My blog is mainly a single author blog (me) but my wife does sometimes write posts. So I didn't know how this effected everything. Also I could simply make the blog a single user blog and just have her posts be guest posts, but I'd rather leave her as a user.), and date archives. The example I read on line only no-index's the date archives. Just curious what you guys thought. Thanks.
