Keyword Appearing on Home Page - Moz Page Grader

Today I entered www.partydomain.co.uk through the Moz Page Grader and found that the Home Page is Ranked B.
I noticed that an Area we could improve on is the amount of times we are using our main keyword "Fancy Dress" on the home page.
Please can you take a look at www.partydomain.co.uk and scroll to the bottom of the page were the tabs are containing losts of content. I am thinking about removing all of thoose Tabs. Our Competitors dont have any content as such on the home page and are ranking higher than Party Domain for "fancy dress"
What do you think ? remove all the tabs to be like the others that rank better? Or cut the text right down ?

Great to hear you have recovered Adam.
Also, it is worth remembering that as good a job as MOZ do, they aren't Google so you can't really use that as a definitive gauge of how well you are doing in that department. It's a 3rd party indicator (albeit a good one), nothing more.

Totally Agree
No so far I have been working to recover the site from a Manual Action which I have now done and recieved confirmation from Google in Webmaster Tools, after this the site went o page 1 for "Fancy Dress" previously not in the top 100 pages.
I havent looked at link building as such yet as our DA and PA suggests we should be higher than our competitors in the serps

Hi Adam,
I would remove those footer tabs. I have never been a fan of these as there is always speculation over what Google can and can't see, depending on how they are implemented.
Try to resist the urge to get your key phrases into the page too many times. Google are pretty smart at figuring these things out and as you said, your competitors are ranking well without the need to do this.
I would also be focussing on link-building for the site as that will be one of the biggest contributors next to content. Have you done much of this for the site?

Should i avoid using H2 to optimize my home page
Hi, my site is www.in2town.co.uk and i am looking at ranking for lifestyle magazine but i am a bit worried. The titles of the articles on the home page are h2, and i am just wondering if i should change this to h3 as it may get confusing for google. Page Analysis - Helping Product Pages Outrank Search Results Pages
Hi! We have a lot of our search results pages that have been indexed and outrank our product pages and in some instance the actual product pages barely show up at all. Here is an example query that includes our brand name: http://goo.gl/cgB6W So, we have loads of actual product pages, video pages, etc that should be showing up here, but are not and this is just one example. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of these Search Results pages out there and utlimately we would love to de-index them altogether, but it's going to have to be carefully done. So, was wondering if anyone would want to check out one of our product pages and give any feedback as to what we could change to possibly improve rank or to make them more search friendly or hopefully to help them rise above these indexed search results pages? The need of two-keyword optimization in the same page
Hi there! Due to the business model of my company I have to optimize two keywords in one page. I just asked about this question before and someone told me thant as long as they refer to the same concept and have almost the same "meaning", it is possible. The problem is how to face it up. I mean, there's one H1 label, one title, etc....and what's the "policy" of key distribution in the content in order to priorice these keywords? What you guys recommend? many thanks

WordPress - optimizing for new keywords on page or post?
I know WordPress is always a little messy with SEO but i have a main question regarding WordPress optimisation for a special keyword. Let's say i have a chocolade blog and have written about all the vendors of chocolade. Now i found a new keyword which i want to optimize my website for. Should i create a 'Page' within WordPress and optimize it for the new keyword + link to some of the post about a relative keyword within this page?

What is the recommended practice for badges and seals on the home page.
What is the recommended practice for badges and seals on the home page. They are currently at the bottom of my nav. menu and thus appear on every page. i have them nofollowed but does that still consume page rank. Is it best to get them on to the footer lower on the page or to perhaps not to have them on the home page and place them deeper on the site.

Keyword placement on home page or throughout the website
OK, I find the courage to ask this because there is not supposed to be a dumb question. Like all of us, I want my website to rank great with a particular keyword. Do I have to use this keyword only on my home page (the start page which I want to appear on top Google results), or does it make a difference if I use the keyword on several articles that I post on my website. These articles all have seperate links. Eg i want the www.website.com to be found by Google, but this website contains www.website.com/link1.html, www.website.com/link2.html.. etc. Will keyword usage on link1.html, link2.html etc be relevant so that www.website.com is found by Google? Or is every single page for itself? Hope I have explained that well and I would really appreciate your feedback.
