After submitting i would still try to get the websites that are linking to you to remove your link. Try looking up their email in who is and emailing them directly.

It could be a lot longer than 2 months. You may need to wait for another update to the Penguin algorithm before you see any changes. We're overdue for an update, but given that we've waited 9 months already they may make us wait even longer.

We just removed a few hundred links from a site that had a manual action applied by Google Webmaster Tools. The entire process took about 2 months.
The first month was contacting webmasters, removing bad backlinks, and updating the disavow file. At the end of the first month we submitted the new disavow file and requested a review from Google. We were denied, and did another round of backlink removal / disavow updating that took about two weeks. Still, denied after submitting a new request. For the third review we explained in detail that we have been in contact with webmasters trying to remove bad backlinks to no avail, and resubmitted the same disavow file and Google lifted the penalty and took action on the links in the disavow file. Your experience might be different, but I'd estimate a month or two.
tl;dr; 2 weeks to 2 months minimum, it could take a lot longer! it varies!

Fetch as Google issues
HI all, Recently, well a couple of months back, I finally got around to switching our sites over to HTTPS://. In terms of rankings etc all looks fine and we have not move about much, only the usual fluctuations of a place or two on a daily basis in a competitive niche. All links have been updated, redirects in place, the usual https domain migration stuff. I am however, troubled by one thing! I cannot for love nor money get Google to fetch my site in GSC. No matter what I have tried it continues to display "Temporarily unreachable". I have checked the robots.txt and it is on a new https:// profile in GSC. Has anyone got a clue as I am stumped! Google + box on the right hand side
When you search on a company name in Google often the URL of the specific company is shown as 1st organic search result. Often one will also see a Google+ box on the right side when searching on a company name. This Google+ box includes a brand logo as well. Our company has also a Google+ account for several months. This page is also shown in the regular organic search results. But when I search on my specific company name, I don’t see the Google+ box on the right side of the results. However, when I search on my company name including my location, Google does show our Company information in Google Maps style, and that does include our last Google+ update as well. What do I need to do to show our Google+ information on the right side in the organic results when someone searches on our company name (without location), so our work and updates within Google+ are rewarded. Not showing the right results in Google.de

The site comes in four languages: German on vintykids.com/de Dutch on vintykids.com/nl English on vintykids.com/en French on vintykids.com/fr The German language gives a problem. In Google.de (German Google) the site is completely indexed in German but we also see results in Dutch. So when you do a search in Google.de on their brandname (Vintykids) we see results in Dutch on vintykids.com.
We think we have set the meta's right in the German language on vintykids.com/de and we also managed some links to Vintykids.com/de from good quality and relevant German sites. What can we do further to get vintykids.com/de ranking in Google.de on the brandname? Thank you.0 -
Crawling issues in google
Hi everyone, I think i have crawling issues with one of my sites. It has vanished form Google rankings it used to rank for all services i offered now it doesn't anymore ever since September 29th. I have resubmitted to Google 2 times and they came back with the same answer: " We reviewed your site and found no manual actions by the web spam team that might affect your site's ranking in Google. There's no need to file a reconsideration request for your site, because any ranking issues you may be experiencing are not related to a manual action taken by the webspam team. Of course, there may be other issues with your site that affect your site's ranking. Google's computers determine the order of our search results using a series of formulas known as algorithms. We make hundreds of changes to our search algorithms each year, and we employ more than 200 different signals when ranking pages. As our algorithms change and as the web (including your site) changes, some fluctuation in ranking can happen as we make updates to present the best results to our users. If you've experienced a change in ranking which you suspect may be more than a simple algorithm change, there are other things you may want to investigate as possible causes, such as a major change to your site's content, content management system, or server architecture. For example, a site may not rank well if your server stops serving pages to Googlebot, or if you've changed the URLs for a large portion of your site's pages. This article has a list of other potential reasons your site may not be doing well in search. " How i detected that it may be a crawling issue is that 2 weeks ago i changed metas - metas are very slow in getting updated and for some of my pages never did update Do you know any good tools to check for bad code that could slow down the crawling. I really don't know where to look other than issues for crawling. I validated the website with w3c validator and ran xenu and cleaned these up but my website is still down. Any ideas are appreciated.

Does Google Read Javascript?
I would like to include a list of links in a select type box which I would like google to follow. In order to do this, I will be styling it with the help of javascript, and in turn change the select box into a ul and the options into li's. The li's would each contain a link, but if javascript is disabled it will fallback to a normal css styled select box. My question is would google follow the links made by the javascript? Or would the bot just recognize the select box as a select box and not links. Thanks for any help!

Penalized by google. How to find out?
Our webpage performs very bad on some keywords relating to one product. At the SeoMoz-ranking page i can se we are number 9 but we have the highest (higher than our competitors) rating in almost every category (at least 25 of 30) on the keyword difficulty report. How do i find out why this is so, or if we have been penalized by google?On other search-engines (yahoo, bing etc) we are number one! And we have the highest pagerank among the competitors...

Google and QnA sites
My website has a QnA site - a bit like this one except it's not private to premium members. It is a page with a left colomn for category links and it has a list of recently asked questions, each question is a link to view the full question and answers etc. Does google know this is a QnA ? Or will it say - hey, there are far too many links on this page, tut tut. Is there anything I can do to help it understand what the page is.
