Creating a new campaign?
-
Hi,
Upon signing up I clicked the link to create a new campaign, but nothing happened. The background loaded and that was it. I tried refreshing and still nothing.
I went to the Pro dashboard and keep seeing "Oops! Try refreshing the page, if that doesn't work, please click here to contact our help team."
Under campaigns there's no button I see to create a new one. The documentation about it here:
http://moz.com/help/pro/campaign-setup
is outdated.I tried putting in a support ticket but the link doesn't work, just redirects me back to the top of the page. I was using Firefox but switched to Chrome, but neither browser works.
Any ideas? I have to say this isn't exactly the best first impression...

Thank you, Sean! The workaround gets me in with no problem! I tried it on my Mac, and a Windows machine with no luck (the only computer it worked on was my Linux system running Ubuntu) so this definitely helps.
Thanks again,
Robert

Hi Robert,
I am sorry to hear that you having trouble accessing Moz Analytics. We have a small set of users that are unable to access our system. This seems to be an issue only with specific machines, since I am able to access your Moz Analytics account with no trouble, which means that it is a very difficult issue to fix. This may be resolved by trying another computer but if it is not try the solutions provided below:
It looks like our engineers have identified two possible causes and solutions for this issue:
-
Highly sensitive anti-virus software. The way to get around this is to whitelist moz.com in the software. If you are running Sophos Anti-Virus on Mac. Disable the option 'Block malicious downloads from websites, protecting your Mac from obfuscated, polymorphic and zero-day threats before reaching your browser'.
-
Enterprise firewalls that block us, which you may need to work with your IT department on if you do not have direct access to your firewall settings.
You may also want to try to access the site through this link here: http://proxy.freya.moz.com/ which circumvents the database that causes the issue in some networks. This is not a workaround as you will not be able to access all sections of the tools.
Hope this helps and definitely let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Keri,
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it still isn't working for me. I'll try another computer later today.
Thanks,
Robert

Hi! It looks like you ran across our help information for the older Pro version of the software. Current setup information is at http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started/campaign-setup, which may help you some. I'd also suggest clearing your cache and Moz cookies, or trying in a different browser.
Our help desk has been assigned this question, but may not be responding right away because of the weekend, so I wanted to jump in with a couple of suggestions. Hope this helps!

Moz campaign for a subdomain with no home page
Hello all, I'm trying to setup a campaign in Moz for one of our subdomains that we use for marketing landing pages. Unfortunately there really is no home/landing page for the subdomain so when I enter it into the campaign settings it says the site isn't accessible. Is there anyway for me to add this? I tried entering the subdomain with a star, e.g. pages.mydomain.com but it would not accept it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Moz not recognising url to setup a new account
I am attempting to setup a new account for my client but Moz is having a problem and not registering the url http://www.esc.uk.net/. I get the "oops" message & read the info on the FAQ page it refers to. Why do I keep getting an "Oops" message when I type and submit my campaign URL? To create a campaign, we need to receive a valid HTTP response from the web server hosting your site. While the site may be accessible from a standard web browser, other user-agents and search engine bots may receive a different response. If you receive this error, we recommend running a test by sending an HTTP response using any online HTTP tool. Using an online HTTP tool I believe I received an HTTP response. What else can I do? Regards Terry

Error Selecting Search Engine During Moz Campaign Set-Up
Hi, I'm setting up a Moz campaign for a new client, and when I get to the third step, "Choose the search engines for which you would like to track rankings," there's nothing to select. No drop down, or anything, just a blank field under the heading. If I try to advance, I get an error pop-up that says I must select a search engine. Has anyone else run into this problem? What should I do? GlWPAsc zAmzqFf

Campaigns by Subdomain
Hi Moz community, I'm trying to optimise an online store and I'm thinking of setting up separate campaigns for each of our categories e.g. games, clothing, music etc... If I set up these campaigns with URL's like: /music and /games, would Moz track only URLs within these subdomains? Is this best practice? Thanks, Paul

Why can't I add more than one campaign in my trial version of MOZ?
Hi, I'm on the 30 day trial and I can only run one campaign right now. I thought I could add in 5 campaigns. When I go into Manage Campaigns the 'add a campaign' button is light blue and I can't click it. Is this just because I'm on the trial? Or should I be able to add 4 more campaigns?

Where to find answers to really dumb questions about setting up Moz campaigns...
I had a Moz account earlier this year, let it drop for a few months, then decided it really was important to have one. So I'm back. But there is still something about it that I really find frustrating. I can't seem to find any answers to what seem to be basic questions. Maybe they are too simple, maybe they are just dumb questions, but I sure would appreciate it if somebody could lead me to another source of information. Maybe somebody has written a "Moz for Dummies" book? Here's an example: I'm setting up campaigns for my websites, and I get to the Brand and Mentions section. It tries to autofill the space using my campaign name, but that's not accurate. So I go look at the Help Hub for Brands and Mentions, and it gives an example using MOZ as the brand name. But not many sites have a three-letter domain name, do they?. One of my domains is EasyDigging.com (2 words) and the other is BestDryingRack.com (3 words). So I look and look, but can't find any examples of longer domain names. So I have no idea how to enter my Brand. Should it be the whole "EasyDigging.com" or should it just be "EasyDIgging" or should it be broke up into "Easy Digging"? This is just 1 example. I find these sort of unanswered questions almost every time I try something new. Is there a collection of examples anywhere? I really hope so. Surely there are others who learn best from examples, who hate having to guess based on slim or vague instructions. Keeping my fingers crossed that somebody can lead me to the goldmine of good examples. Thanks!

I recently signed-up for a new pro account. As I was adding my first subdomain everything was fine until I was asked to link to GA, when I clicked yes I got this error message: 403 Forbidden Now every time I click on set-up campaign I get taken to a page with nothing but the 403 Forbidden text.
