[no anchor text]

In Open Site Explorer, when looking at backlinked anchor text, I see a significant amount of links with the "[no anchor text]" defined as the anchor text.

Is this indicative of image links with no ALT text, or links in which the URL is the anchor text, or is there another explanation?

If you see [no anchor text] this simply means that there wasn't any anchor text in the html code of the backlink.
