Crawl diagnostic issue?
-
I'am sorry if my English isn't very good, but this is my problem at the moment:
On two of my campagnes I get a weird error on Moz Analytics:
605 Page Banned by robots.txt, X-Robots-Tag HTTP Header, or Meta Robots Tag
Moz Analytics points to an url that starts with: http:/**/None/**www.????.com. We don't understand how Moz indexed this non-existing page that starts with None? And how can we solve this error?
I hope that someone can help me.

Hi MOZ,
I'am sorry that I have not previously responded. The problem has been solved. Thanks!
Also thanks to Pixel for the response!

Sam

Hi Nettt!
I apologize for any confusion and can confirm there is no issue on your side. One of our crawlers failed causing some campaigns crawled on Aug 29th attempt to follow the strange /None/ URL you are seeing in your diagnostics. I've submitted a re-crawl for all of your campaigns affected so you should see updated data by this Friday.
Hope this helps!

"I have checked the URL, and it is not our own website that has the error."
is this the problem?
Could you take a screen grab of the problem it might help better.
-
Thanks for the respons, Pixelbypixel!
I have checked the URL, and it is not our own website that has the error.
We have checked the robots.txt and it should not cause any problem. We have n't recently changed it.
I Think that Moz is causing it, but I am not sure..

Is the URL correct on Moz pro? It also seems like your robots.txt is blocking Moz which you may want to look into.

Interest in optimise Google Crawl
Hello, I have an ecommerce site with all pages crawled and indexed by Google. But I have some pages with multiple urls like : www.sitename.com/product-name.html and www.sitename.com/category/product-name.html There is a canonical on all these pages linking to the simplest url (so Google index only one page). So the multiple pages are not indexed, but Google still comes crawling them. My question is : Did I have any interest in avoiding Google to crawl these pages or not ? My point is that Google crawl around 1500 pages a day on my site, but there are only 800 real pages and they are all indexed on Google. There is no particular issue, so is it interesting to make it change ? Thanks

Duplicate content issue
Hi I installed a wiki and a forum to subdomains of one of my sites. The crawl report shows me duplicate content on the forum and on wiki. This will hurt the main site? Or the root domain? the site by the way is clean absolutely from errors. Thanks

Canonicalization issue I cant work out
Seo Moz have kindly brought to my attention some canonicalization issues with my site. Firstly I've adjust http://capitalalist.com to 301 redirect to http://www.capitalalist.com via htaccess. But the crawl has shown for every page in my site the problem below: http://www.capitalalist.com/cirque-du-soir http://www.capitalalist.com/cirque-du-soir/ It's just that last / that's causing the problem. But I can't seem to see anyone having the same issue before. BTW im using wordpress if that makes a difference. Can anyone elaborate on the issue? How would i adjust my htaccess file to redirect a request with a / on the end of it? Thanks in advance!
