Is a resource page bad for SEO
-
This is the page http://www.christoit.com/free-resources/articles. While this page isn't what I would consider to be a "resource page" (there are no downloads or any other resources) The question is, does a page like this that just has links to articles, hurt the overall ranking of the site.
If you have any examples to support your opinion that would be great!
Thanks so much for all awesome threads and answers on this site. There are some really smart people all in one place!

I think the question you need to ask is "Would my ideal customer bookmark this page because it will help them time and time again?"
Google is fairly clear that it doesn't like low quality pages so this is really the test of what you have to do. I have exactly the same issue - and it's every day I try and add a few more bits to my resource page. That way in a month it will be ok, in 6 months it will be great and in a year it will be totally amazing

I don’t see Resource pages as bad pages for SEO. I believe the best way to create a good resource page is by actually adding resources from different websites that really contain great content related to the subject.
The best idea is to include the best resources and then let them know that you have included their link in the website and encourage them to either link back or share this page with their circles.
I am not saying this will help you much in SEO but in order to entertain user to the next level good resource pages always works!
Hope this helps!

The page is only handing out some internal links. Though the Geo targeting is telling me exactly what you want to rank for. It's a little odd, perhaps somewhat unnatural, but nothing you would get penalized for.
What I think is bad for SEO is this. If I click on Free Resources, I'm presented with a Twitter feed, a news archive and nothing of substance. That is bad for SEO.
If you have to put something there, then produce snippets of the Free Resources that you offer. The 'read more'/'what have you' links should point to the articles.

SEO and dynamic content
I am working on a project right now and I am looking for some advice on the SEO implications. The site is an e-commerce site and on the category pages it is using an external call to retrieve the products after the page is loaded. How it works is all content on the site is loaded, then after that a js script appends an ID and loads all of the product information. I am unsure how Google will see this, anyone have any insights?

Webs Pages not correct
First of all I am a beginner but that will show with this question. I have moved my website from Wix to Web.com. I had the dns I think that is correct re-direct my site to web.com. Since then some of the pages from wix still show up even though they are no long apart of my site. Secondly when I go to google and type in cestoday.com some of the pages gives me a 401 or 404 error code, and others do not link to the proper page on my website. They go to my web-site but not the correct page. What do I do. Thank you Dave

Are internal and external footers on all pages of a large website detrimental to seo?
Hi, I am doing an seo clean up of our site - we have about 12 footers on the bottom of each page plus an internal site map including core keywords. Most footers go to internal sites and some go to external sites which are replicated on those external sites linking back to ours. (these sites are part of the same large company but are not related in any way) Are these bad from an seo ranking perspective? Do the look like spam? We get considerable traffic from one of the external footers that is replicated on their site so need to weigh up what the best option is whether to keep the traffic or to loose it as part of the seo clean up. thanks

N/A For On-page SEO Report
I have 8 errors and 44 warnings last week. Over the week, I corrected broken links, duplicate titles, meta tags, and duplicate page content. Now after it was run again, I'm getting an N/A. Does N/A mean there are NO errors at all on the site? I didn't fix all of the errors and warnings but most I did. My website is also up and running. Please let me know if I'm missing something or if I did that good of a job for my client's on-page SEO stuff, which I doubt despite moving the needle forward. Thanks
