No Google Analytics code on page BUT reporting is active

How could Google Analytics be reporting data if my pages don't have the GA code on them?

Hi Mike,
There's some good suggestions by the folks above, but I'm assuming you're still having issues. It sounds like you might need an extra set of eyes, so if you're still stuck with this issue, I'd be happy to take a look for you. Of course, it's all in complete confidence - you can e-mail me at david.sottimano@distilled.net if you want to take up the offer.
Hopefully it's just a quirk

You can install the Tag assistant extension for chrome. This helps you figure out what google tags are on your page.

FYI an easier way is there is the following tool - http://spyonweb.com/ it will list the domains sharing the GA code.
-
This takes us down another path (won't explain why we have LESS traffic than shown by another tool), however, yes, there seem to be a couple of surprises...showing 5-40 sessions out of MANY.

Could be on a external javascript file. Have you checked those referenced on your site?
-
Try creating a custom report in Google Analytics to view all of the Hostnames that have your GA code.
> Custom Reports
> Metrics Groups (your choice [sessions])
> Dimension Drilldowns
- Hostname
This will give you a report of all the domains that have your GA code - are there any surprises here?
-
No. GA seems to work fine across our large enterprise site, however, there is a directory of 50+ pages for which GA is reporting data yet the snippet seems to be hidden on the page.

Have you gone to your GA and admin>Tracking info >Tracking code. From here it will tell you if its working or not it will also tell you the code. if its working there somewhere on your site is the code its tracking.
Did you set it up? Can you also ask who did and find out how it was set up too?

Another website has your GA code?

Why No Goal is recorded in Google Analytics
Hello, I am not sure if i made an error. Can someone please point out. On our sales form, when a user submits the form, the URL displayed is - https://x-y.com/thank-you-2/ I created a Goal like this - 1 ) Under Goal set up, i choose Template option 2 ) Under Goal description, i choose Type > Destination 3 ) and finally, in Goal details field, destination equals to /thank-you-2/ But, no Goal is being tracked. In the first step, should i have selected 'Custom' instead of 'Template' Thanks

Whats 'Other' in Google Analytics (in Acquisition)
When i look in GA under Channels (under Acquisition) 'other' is listed What is 'other' ? I have been told its other unidentified channels as they did not allow 3rd party cookies or surfers were in anonymous/private mode. Other is usually organic traffic that couldn't be identified for the aformentioned reasons. This data is encrypted and available but it violates Google guidelines as they are not allowed to pass personal info//data to third parties so it is automatically filtered. But they are not 'Not Provided' (since that still shows under organic) but is usually/mainly some form of organic visits. Hence Seo can take credit for much of that traffic, is this correct ? Many Thanks

Google Analytics Tracking Code Problems
I am having a problem with my Google Analytics tracking codes. The relevant GA tracking codes have been entered into the source code of certain sites I'm running campaigns on, but Google Analytics is still telling me that the tracking code hasn't been installed - yet it has. What could possibly be the problem here? I have checked that these sites don't run off multiple domains, and that the tracking code has been entered in the correct place within the source code - and yet I am still having problems with GA. Any suggestions?

Mobile and Google Analytics
As my mobile numbers are going up in Google Analytics I'm trying to figure out what phone runs what browser. I see that 93% of mobile users have Safari which I believe is iPhone, iPad and iPods. There is a 6% usage of "Mozilla Compatible Agent". What cell phone would this be?
