Brand Name Pulling Into Search Results Incorrectly

Hi Moz Community!
I have a client, Acme Stove Co., whose branded search results are pulling in the wrong name. A Google search for "Acme Stove Co" returns pages with the title "Acme Stove & Video." Really not sure where this "& Video" part is pulling from - there is no mention of videos on the pages that are ranking with these terms, and Google is definitely using a title tag other than the one that we have worked to optimize. It appears to be happening on the homepage and our store location pages. Screen shot of search results is attached.
The company definitely does not offer any sort of video services whatsoever, so we're really stumped as to where this may be coming from.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

My gut feeling is that Google is doing the same thing to the BBB entry (re-writing, that is) and not that BBB is the cause, but it's a little hard to separate.

Thank you, everyone, SO much for your responses! We did see that BBB listing and were able to contact them and have the name of the business changed to the correct one. We will definitely try the Meta NOODP tag and re-work the homepage title tag and meta description and see if that helps. The weirdest part is that this just started happening recently - our search results didn't used to look like that.

It's definitely odd. I am seeing some evidence of bad data in DMOZ:
http://www.dmoz.org/search?q=acme+stove
...so I'd definitely try Meta NOODP (). Sometimes, it can shake that stuff loose.
What's weird, though, is that Google is crossing that same bad title into your listing on other sites. For example running an exact match search for ("acme stove & video") and Google is putting that title on the BBB listings, even though it doesn't appear on those pages either. It is possibly that it's bleeding over from a bad local listing or something in the Knowledge Base, but that won't usually impact title tag rewrites.
Your home-page title tag is a bit keyword-heavy, which doesn't help. It's basically:
"Product Location | Product & Product Location"
...and doesn't even mention your brand. Unfortunately, that reads a little spammy, and that makes Google more inclined to do a rewrite. I'd personally tone it down a bit and get the brand in there.

Don't know if this helps or not. Acme Video Fireplaces & Stove is/was a real place and was located in Harrisburg, VA.
Sometimes Google will rewrite or add the brand to your url and in this case, it changed your title tag w/this brand. How to fix it? I'm guessing you will need to increase your use of brand signals until Google catches on.

Very Strange indeed META NOODP tag? It can help if Google decided it likes DMOZ more though you don't seem to have a link but its handy. You can also implement some Rich snippets - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/99170?hl=en to help Google know e.g the name of your site etc.
Hope that helps sorry i couldn't get to the bottom though another clever person here might be able to.

Google My Business search results for multiple listings
I am wondering how people set up their Google My Business listings to appear in the search results similar to this business, Hulme Orthodontics. I attached an image below that'll give more details. I am working with a client that has two locations similar in distance to Hulme Orthodontics, and I have tried everything and have come up with no answers as to how I can properly get Google to format the search results in this way. I assume that there is no actual way to manage this and that Google decides this on their own. However, if anyone has any insight regarding this manner, that would be much appreciated! My Company Doesn't Appear in the Search Results on the Right When I Search for It
Hello, I just found that one of my companies (iFix Appliances) doesn't show on the right in search results when I search for it. I found it accidentally, I just wanted to check if it shows Request a Quote button as recently I enabled messaging on GMB. Yet it's not there at all. Could you please help me figure out what happened and why it's not there? Is something wrong with its GMB listing? I have two locations so I created 2 GMB listings for one company. Is this something that might have caused the issue?

Can I use a shortened version of our company name for local search or does it need to match the name registered at companies house exactly?

???? "Google My Business", Search Console, Google Webmaster Tools
I added a Google+ Page for my business several years ago. Now when I click on "Search Console" within Webmaster Tools it is asking me to provide business information that I entered several years ago for Google+. Is this normal? Should I fill it out? It seems that this info is redundant with what I filled out for Google+. When I enter the name of my business (Metro Manhattan Office Space, Inc. ) in Google, a listing appears to the right, so it seems that Google already has my details. Thanks,

Best Practice When Selling One Location of Company with Multiple Branches - Local Search
I have a client with a small business with 4 different branches. Currently, we have a main landing page for the company, plus distinct landing pages for each branch with maps, territories, distinct phone numbers, etc., for each branch. The company recently sold one of the branches to a competitor as they do not want to service that area anymore. They have asked me what they should do now. Obviously, we are going to remove the location page for that branch, but we also need to transfer the phone number to the other company for use as part of the sale. What tasks should I look into for separating the branch from the rest of the company while still maintaining best practice for the rest of the site/company? Thank you for your help and suggestions.

Local Search and Schema.org - Do I need to tag up the "same as" Property to all my citations to help with local rankings?
Hi All, We have implemented Schema.og on our website and this also includes the local business schema for all of our branches.However I've read an article (see below ) which says we should also be doing "same as " property and linking this to ALL of our citations such as google plus page , yelp , bing places, city search etc etc as this will help with citations. I am wondering if anyone has done this ? - And if so , has this helped with local rankings etc - I don't really want to invest the extra costs to get this done if I can't find anywhere that says its made a difference - The article from whitespark - says - "when you create new citations for your business (or for your client’s), it’s a waiting game hoping that Google and the other search engines will find your new citations quickly and make the connection between those listings, the business, and the website. What is personalisation when it comes to local search?
Hi Everyone. This may be a silly question but I was reviewing the 2014 Local Search Ranking Factors article produce by MOZ:

I am unsure about the reference to "personalisation" which seems to account for 8.4% of the overall weight. Everything else is pretty clear as there is a quick description and examples for each topic but not for personalisation. Does anyone know what it includes?0 -
Google+ Business Listings: Hours Displayed Incorrectly
Hi, When I do a search for our brand + location name (basically making sure we at least appear for that) the hours displayed are incorrect except when I log into our account to edit the hours they are right. Ex: Google SERP displays hours 8am - 11pm but within business listing account hours entered are 8pm - 10pm. Has anyone come across this and why would it be? Is it a case of other citations showing the incorrect hours? Thanks for your help WMCA
