Why can't the dates be changed in automatic reports?
-
I want to be able to change the publish date of automatic reports in my campaigns. One such campaign, which is a client campaign, it's set to run on the 8th after I selected "monthly".
However, this doesn't work for me as this client want's to meet each month on between the 2nd and 5th of each month and I have to have this report data. So, I need to run this report on the first. Not the 2nd, not every 4 weeks... on the first.
It seems like you guys have a fundamental flaw in the design of this tool, as great as it is. You've set the projects to auto run each month from the date it was added (at least from what I can tell). Provided that's true, then this would explain why the monthly reports won't work on my schedule because their on a weekly schedule instead.
We, as clients, should be given the option to schedule when our scanning runs, when our reports get generated, etc. Every company runs their SEO and marketing differently, but the away you've set this up with the lack of options for us, forces us to work around your tools scheduling and not the other way around.
Also, out of all of the SEO tools I've tried (quite a few), none have had this limitation.
This should be addressed immediately.
Thanks,
Micha

Just wanted to agree with the above and say that the ability to schedule custom reports to run on a particular date per month is really important for us too.
Cheers

I totally agree with that. I've been with Moz for a little over a year I think and I've seen a couple minor things gets added, but no real fixes to the problems I've had. Literally, all of my major problems I've been asking them about have all been unanswered, or at least unresolved.

The MOZ response to this seems to be, "we're not giving our users the features they want and need because, gosh, it's hard."
What I want to see is a clear response with a committed date for the release of this feature.

MOZ... PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS!!
It's critical for the way tons of us work, yet you're ignoring the issue, or at least not being open about what you're doing to solve this.
We're scaling fast, and my workarounds for not having this are quickly becoming a problem.
Please give us the choice of when to run reports just like every other dashboard in the world. Thanks.

I agree with Micha... it's VERY important to me to be able to set a specific date for monthly reports.

sorry about posting again, but this question was marked answered, but not by me. I don't consider this answered at all.
How do I change this status, or is that up to you to decide when our issues are solved for us?

Oh yeah... and a full data set would be available at least by month 2 in this scenario.

I get it was designed to run on an auto schedule. However, you could still do that and still appease my needs here (an I'm sue a lot of others as well). Here's how easy this is:
Let you crawler keep running on it's normal weekly schedule. But, when you select "monthly" from the report frequency, allow me to choose which week. Problem solved!
I'm pretty sure that's not too complicated. As it stands now, I get my monthly report AFTER my monthly client meeting. You've got to understand that this is a serious oversight that can seriously hurt SEO agencies.
You need to address this asap! Thanks.

Hey Micha,
The custom reports for Moz Analytics were designed to run on set schedules based on a weekly/monthly/quarterly schedule. This was done because we wanted to make sure full data sets were available at the time the report was generated. That said, we have been receiving requests for custom campaign crawl dates - which would be tied to reporting. I don't have an ETA on a release for anything like this but will pass this along as feedback to our Product team.

Emails from Moz display incorrect report information
Hey, I have noticed that for the last 3 weeks or so the emails from Moz have been displaying incorrect information. The results it shows in the email seem to be from previous crawls. For example The previous week a sitemap that didn't update that caused 400+ pages to appear as 404's. This wasn't reported in the email and it stated there were only 2 errors on the site. (Of which we knew about anyway and choose to ignore). Thankfully i checked the crawl report anyway out of habit and saw the onsite report to show 400+ crawl errors. I went on to fix these errors. This week, the crawl report showed 400+ crawl errors, I immediately logged on to the website to check the campaign to find there are only the 2 expected crawl errors. It is almost as if the info from the campaign is being pulled and emailed to me seconds before it is updated from the crawl info. I am finding this to be the case in both the keyword and crawl errors email reports.

Link to Moz Pro home 404s, and then I stumbled upon Moz's staging site...
I'm wary of giving more information as it's probably best that little to no one be able to access Moz staging for one reason or another. I should also mention that this was done very unintentionally on my part. That said, from the 404 from Moz Pro home, I tried to access "My QA", and that's when I realized that everything I did thereafter was within staging.moz.com (and posted a question similar to this one). Does Moz permit access to their staging site, or did I stumble upon a mistake - or Moz-stake, if you will?

I have removed a subdomain from my main domain. We have stopped the subdomain completely. However the crawl still shows the error for that sub-domain. How to remove the same from crawl reports.
Earlier I had a forum as sub-domain and was mentioned in my main domain. However i have now discontinued the forum and have removed all the links and mention of the forum from my main domain. But the crawler still shows error for the sub-domain. How to make the crawler issues clean or delete the irrelevant crawl issues. I dont have the forum now and no links at the main site, bu still shows crawl errors for the forum which doesnt exist.
