Local search result not showing
-
Hi Mozzers,
I'm not a huge expert on local SEO.. the thing is when searching for our brand + city. or brand name specific or anything we do not get the map on the right with our contact info and such.
To be sure this is what we've done.- We have a google+ page + verified content (for more than 4 months now)
- We have images, opening times, email, url's and such filled in (for 4 months now)
- We are on several local sites with our address, and such
- We do have some old listings here and there where we have old addresses but its just a few and we are on it to update / deleting them
- We have Microdata on our site with our address, lat lang and such.
- All address data on social, and few other pages are super in sync with each other.
We are located in the Netherlands so a lot of info on this site we cannot use, becuase they don't accept us for example. Very curious on some interesting info how to optimize and why we are not showing.

Hi There!
Unfortunately, I'm not very well versed in Local SEO in the Netherlands, but I do believe this Moz blog post will help you to begin troubleshooting how well-optimized your local presence is, regardless of country:
http://moz.com/blog/troubleshooting-local-ranking-failures
Also, want to be sure that your company is running a Google+ Local page ... not just a Google+ social type page and that you actually qualify as a local business of the type that Google would most typically show mapped results for. Do you make in-person contact with your customers and do they come to your physical location to do business with you? These are some important questions, and I hope the article will help!

Hi Andy,
Just been browsing and searching along, and i have seen that there are still a lot of old addresses about 20 i could find of 3 different addresses we have been located in the pas 7 years. so thats probably a thing
So i think i need to have a format like
Microdesign Internetbureau Gevers Deynootweg 93
2586 BK, Den Haag
Nederland
Tel 085-744 0594
Fax 085-554 4574
info@microdesign.nl
www.microdesign.nlJust everywhere exactly the same right?

As a matter of course, I would add your website address to your contact page as well. Under your e-mail address would be fine - but that is just a very small part of local SEO.
However, rather than go over everything here, this is a great article that will help you make sure you are doing everything you can. Moz also has a check list to refer to.
Grab a coffee and have a good read through these

Hi,
Can I ask if you have your NAP (Name, Address, Phone) in place correctly on your site? Do you have citations coming from other sites at all? It can also help to get some reviews about your business too, although this isn't likely to cause you not to be placed.
Finally, have you completed all the local SEO work on your site to help with this? From what you have said above, you might be lacking in this a little, but hard to know without seeing the site.

LOCAL CITATIONS - SHARED ADDRESS, DIFFERENT BUSINESS ENTITIES, DIFFERENT PRACTICTIONERS
I am trying to to boost my clients online presence through Local Business Listings but am running into a few issues that I would like to get some feedback on. First, I will provide some background information and then provide my questions that I am seeking feedback on! Your help is greatly appreciated. **BACKGROUND INFO: ** Client has little online visibility and is looking to optimize his Local Business Listings to boost his online presence. Client is a Chiropractor that just registered his own business, has a unique local phone number, his own website. The facility that the Chiropractor works out of is a shared office space, known as a "Wellness Center" This facility has other chiropractors, doctors, & massage therapists who fit the same criteria as my client. I understand that in order to qualify for a local business listings your business must meet **CRITERIA. **This is the only one he does not meet, but the way the businesses are ran, it seems like to me that he should be eligible for local business listings. Have a dedicated physical street address (not a shared address, PO box, or virtual office) I don't understand why a shared address isn't allowed. This seems pretty legit to me. And is similar to a Doctors Office with multi-practitioners but slightly different because they each have their own business not all working for one business owner. All working for themselves. Everyone recently moved and joined this wellness center. Everyone generates their own leads and clientele. One thing to note is that no other business in the wellness center currently has optimized their online presence using this address. But address is present on other business owners websites. If my client uses this address and builds his local listings, is there a chance he can get penalized if the other business owners build their business listings on sites like, yelp, yellowpages, google maps, citysearch, etc. What are the chances of him getting penalized/the entire shared office being penalized due to this shared office space. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank You

Local citations - domain or business name
I have a bit of a tricky situation with a client where there is some history with old domains. But this is the current situation which I need to stick to: Business name (all made up) is Acme Print 2 live websites - acme-niche(dot)com and productsandservices(dot)com Third website acmeprint(dot)com is live and owned by an old partner, different NAP. acme-niche(dot)com and productsandservices(dot)com share the same NAP. Not much traffic and a bit of a poor domain profile for acme-niche(dot)com, so suggest just using productsandservices(dot)com. Also acme-niche(dot)com would be a bit misleading for use for the whole business in any case. However, all content for productsandservices(dot)com refers to Acme Print. Because of all the confusion should we keep the productsandservices(dot)com referring to Acme Print throughout, or update with new productsandservices(dot)com logo, mention that it is a trading name of Acme Print and refer to the trading domain name throughout the content. I want to know the best option for listings and citations - the trading name which is a domain name or Acme Print? I've not worked with a local site where domain name and business name and a separate business with domain are mixed up.

Hello We've recently started a campaign for a local business, and now the domain authority and the number of links to the site are equal if not more to all local major competitors (bar one) and organic rankings for relevant terms are increasing well... However we still do not appear in the google local listings, despite having a verified location business account - fully set up and active and linked to the website. Does anyone have any advice for increasing local rankings? Thanks in advance kind mozzers

Searches without adding my city
Hi all, I have a small IT business and run it out of my home. My main keywords are: "Computer Repair Services". I have been optimising my site for awhile now. I am in Douglasville GA. If I search: "Computer Repair Services Douglasville" I am on pages 1-3 at any given time. I also show in maps on page 1 at times. If I only search "Computer Repair Services" I am nowhere to be found. I see other companies in my town listed but not me. I am missing out on opportunities from everyone outside my small town who does not include the city in the search. Also from all nearby towns. I know I do not have many backlinks and I need more Domain authority. I have run Open Site Explore on a competitor and his site has less authority and links than mine. He is always listed on page 1 without the city in the search. Can someone explain how I can be found without using my city in the search. Thanks

Is there a way to get your local SERP by zipcode?
I have multiple stores across various zipcodes and i'm having difficulty trying to provide an average Positioning on SERP by region. I do know that your SERP varies by region because different areas use different vernaculars. Does anyone know of a way that I can provide a SERP for keywords/terms by county or zip code?

We only mention the real name in the About Us. CABINETS BAY AREA it is more as a deparment of the real business name HEMA DESIGN CENTER What should i do? Thanks a lot, David
