Why are no-follow links in my blog comments across the web showing up as "equity-passing"?
-
When I make comments on blog posts (and there's a link in my comment or my name is the link to my site), the links are always no-follow (as they should be). But, when I check Open Site Explorer, the new links show up as equity-passing. Are they actually passing equity or is this a mistake?
-
Hi Grobro
Do you have any other links that we are counting as follow that are using the "external nofollow" tag? Our devs are trying to find a pattern to rule out the possibility of the link not set as nofollow when we originally crawled it.
-
Hi Grobro
Thank you for the example! I have our devs investigating and will let you know what I find out.
-
Yes, for example the comments on this page (selbstaendig-im-netz.de/2014/08/12/blogs/aufbau-eines-blog-business-tipps-fehler-und-erfahrungen-interview-mit-dem-affenblog) are nofollow, thats the code:
In Open Site Explorer they are listed under equity passing.
-
Hi Grobro
Can you provide me with an example?
-
Sorry for bringing up this thread again, I have the same problem. When I check the links of a competitor, it shows nofollow comments as equity passing. It seems like a mistake..
Best regards!

Hello!
A fix has been released and you should no longer see no-followed links marked as having link equity!
Thank you for pointing this out to us
-
Hello!
We have confirmed there is a front-end issue that is counting the links as followed but not from our API. We will have this patched up pretty quick!
-
Hello!
This does seem very strange as it should not be counting nofollow links. I have one of our engineers looking into this and will let you know what I find out!

Why would a site (competitor) show up in Keyword SERPs Analysis but not show up in Rank Tracker for the same keyword?
I used Rank Tracker to evaluate a specific site for "geofencing software" - the result was "not in the top 50." However, if I go to Keyword SERP analysis and put in the same keyword "geofencing software," it shows the specific site within the first page results in SERP. I verified the ranking with a google search of my own and the site does show in the first page results. Why is Rank Tracker not matching Keyword SERP results?

Not existing domains linking to my website (spam)
Hello, When i run my platform www.taobao.nl through https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/ i see a lot of nasty adult domains that link to my platform. These give a very negative (spam)score to my platform. I already disavowed quite a few via Webmastertools, but they keep coming. When i check the names in the Whois, they don't even seem to exist! (anymore) What could cause this and how can i end it?? Thanks for your help! Sander

External link numbers down year on year
Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows why a website that has definitely had some links acquired over the last year would now show less links and from fewer referring domains than they had this time last year? How is that possible - assume it is down to the way OSE / Moz crawl the web and collect data but need a definitive explanation for a client that has noticed the drop in link metrics and as a result authority. Many thanks,

External Followed Links report
I would like to know, how do I get a report with the TOTAL amount of my external followed links. When I look on "Link Metric" it shows me: External Followed Links 2,951 But when I looked on Inbound links (only follow / only external), it shows me only 645. Why is that and how do I get the total from 2.951? Thanks
