Hi There
I'm not an advanced analytics expert (maybe medium level ) but let me try to help out.
1.Enhanced eCommerce vs Event Tracking
Enhanced eCommerce helps you measure how users interact with your products, shopping cart etc - so you can see in depth information around adding items, viewing items, cart abandoning, purchase completions. You can slice and dice this at a product level. This is only for sites where you can purchase products on the site.
Event Tracking is like a blank canvas to track any sort of user behavior you want (within some limitations) - but you might track a button click, interaction with a video (play, pause, etc), or PDF downloads, or scrolling behavior.
Importantly, you can turn and event into a goal where you could track sign-up form completions (via the click of the 'submit' button) as a goal and tie that back to your standard analytics data.
Event tracking can be done on any website - even if you don't sell products.
2. In short: no. You may still need event tracking.
If you enable enhanced eCommerce, this will give you the capabilities described above (measuring product and shopping cart interactions) - see this for more info https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6014841?hl=en ...BUT your option to use event tracking is your choice based upon what you might want to measure. If you want to measure clicks on your email list signup button you need event tracking. If you want to trigger an event with scrolling behavior (see this for an example http://cutroni.com/blog/2014/02/12/advanced-content-tracking-with-universal-analytics/)
Hope that helps!

Ecommerce data in universal analytics
Does any have the same issue. We are tracking e-commerce data in GA universal. We are finding that sales are being recorded on the day of the sale and again a few days later. It does only seem to be 1 or 2 sales that do this not all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Much appreciated. David

Not Provided Filter is not tracking goals
I have setup ‘Not Provided’ filter, but it is not tracking conversions accurately. Basically the filter displays goals url’s as conversion urls & not the landing url’s. For example – I would expect home page to have maximum conversions, but its shows higher visits & no conversions.  Has anyone experienced this? I have attached screenshot of the ‘Not provided’ Filter. 0L0fS3h SxzRP7w

Difference between site: search and Total Indexed in Google Webmaster Tools.
This morning I did a search on Google for my site using the site: operator. I noticed that the number of results returned was significantly different than the "Total indexed" in Google Webmaster Tools. What is the difference and is it normal to have two very different numbers here?

Ecommerce tracking problem with multiple domains on 1 web property
We recently launched 13 product marketing sites based on a Wordpress Multisite setup. To track all 13 sites we decided to use one web property, so we can use the same tracking code for all domains. To track the sites seperately, we set up a profile for each product site with a hostname filter. This works well for most stats, but eCommerce tracking is where the problem starts. Per profile we obviously want to track the products purchases on that website only. What happens now is that all purchases from all product sites are tracked on all profiles. How can we change this? Should I alter the eCommerce tracking code or can I fix this with an additional filter per profile? Thanks for your help Mozzers! Regards, Pieter van Diggele

SEOMoz & GWT crawl error conflicting info
Site im working on has zero crawl errors according to SEOMoz (it did previously have lots since ironed out) but now looking at GWebmaster Tools saying 5000 errors. Date of those are not that recent but Webmaster Tools line graph of errors still showing aprox 5000 up to yesterday There is an option to bulk action/tick them all as fixed so thinking/hoping GWT just keeping a historical record that can now be deleted since no longer applicable. However i'm not confident this is the case since still showing on the line graph. Any ideas re this anomalous info (can i delete and forget in GWT)Â ? Also side question I take it its not possible to link a GA property with a GWT account if created with different logins/accounts ? Many Thanks Dan
