FREE Trial Upgrade

I started a FREE 30 day trial and it expires in 3 days. I like the product and want to go ahead and start paying for it.
I want the $149 per month level but when I hit the upgrade button it says that I have to pay $267.09!
How does a $149 program come out to $267.09????

Strange, it's probably a bug in their subscription system. The free trial is free, they don't charge for it. I'm not sure if support is working during the weekend, so probably you will need to wait till Monday for a reply.
I just checked in my account - upgrading once you have a paid subscription is pretty straightforward, and the calculation of the remaining credit for the current subscription / amount to be paid for the new plan seems correct.

I have emailed Support but they have not responded.
In my billing area it says that I when my FREE trial expires that I will be charged $99, so I chose the $99 trial.
I don't want to wait until it expires and pay the $99, I want to choose the $149 plan. But when I hit the upgrade button it appears they are charging the $99 + $149 which = 248 (plus tax?)
If they are charging $99 for the FREE Trial period and then $149 going forward then the FREE trial was not really a FREE trial as advertised which is what I think is happening. If that is the case then I might as well just cancel the FREE trial and sign up for the $149 plan.

Hi Glenn,
I would suggest to contact Moz support (https://moz.com/help/contact) directly. Trial subscriptions are possible for both the $99 & $149 subscription, so if you took the trial for the $149 subscription, upgrading it would lead you to the next tier which is the $249 subscription. Did you try to to take a subscription without the upgrade?

Dirk

How do I change back to a free membership?
I am no longer satisfied with paying for my "Pro" moz membership. I miss having phone support, but moz personnel have told me, "don't worry, we have chat support, and that's just as good!" So just now I tried to downgrade my membership status from "pro" to free", but now you have to fill in ALL of your credit card information, just to cancel(!) If you don't believe me, just try it. Anyway, I thought that maybe I was just not understanding how to do it, so I tried using the chat system to ask for help, and here's what happened. ================= me: How do I downgrade from my current "pro" subscription to a free subscription (if there still is such a thing as a free one)?

Just a moment... Sorry for the delay! We've got more chats than usual. If you need to run, please feel free to leave us a message and we'll get back to you soon. Thanks!
me: Pretty ironic. I am cancelling my paid subscription because you dropped phone support but you (your company) told me, "oh don't worry, chat support is just as good" ================= And, I waited for ten minutes before giving up and asking here. I hope that at least some other customer can answer this question for me. This is a perfect example of why phone support is important, chat support is ok but not always sufficcient, and why in general it's not satisifactory (to me, at least), to basically tell customers to go ask for help in the Q&A forums because the company won't budget sufficiently to provide customer support with its own personnel. Sad, too, because I've been a moz customer for over 4 years. There just isn't enough difference in value for me to continue, considering the other tools that are available now, some of which do provide satisfactory support. Thanks, for anyone who can answer my question.0
