Over Optimization and how to fix it
-
Hey Y'all,
I had a question about over-optimization. So if I'm targeting "Social Security Lawyer Allen, TX" on the home page, then "SSDI Lawyer Allen, TX," on another page, could that be hurting my efforts on Google?
Should I remove all of the efforts targeted toward Allen, TX on the other page, or should I maybe target like a different city?

There is a new Doorway pages algorithm coming that could potentially catch this kind of optimization out. Unfortunately, until it is released it is difficult to say how severe it will be.

Could I try to target a different city for the landing page in question? Do you forsee that causing any issues?
Thanks!

There are no issues with targeting two different keywords to two different pages on your site. However in this case it seems to me that they are so closely related even synonymous, that targeting two different pages with what essentially is the same search intent but with a different keyprhase that you might have better luck only optimizing one page. That way any link equity is being directed towards one page rather than split between two. All on-page content would be completely unique rather than closely related to the other page, internal links would all be directed to one landing page etc....
From a user perspective I would think that when using either search they are looking for the same thing which is a Lawyer in Allen Texas who specializes in Social Security Disability. IMO I would optimize one page to meet both searches and then 301 redirect the other page to it.

Hi,
No IMO Its absolutely fine you can target different keywords on different pages .That is not called Over Optimization. Please feel free to ask if you have any follow up question.
Thanks

How do I fix duplicate page issue on Shopify with duplicate products because of collections.
I'm working with a new client with a site built on Shopify. Most of their products appear in four collections. This is creating a duplicate content challenge for us. Can anyone suggest specific code to add to resolve this problem. I'm also interested in other ideas solutions, such as "don't use collections" if that's the best approach. I appreciate your insights. Thank you!

The need of two-keyword optimization in the same page
Hi there! Due to the business model of my company I have to optimize two keywords in one page. I just asked about this question before and someone told me thant as long as they refer to the same concept and have almost the same "meaning", it is possible. The problem is how to face it up. I mean, there's one H1 label, one title, etc....and what's the "policy" of key distribution in the content in order to priorice these keywords? What you guys recommend? many thanks

On-page SEO optimization
hi there! Is it possible not to be in the first 20 or 30 positions in the SERPs after executing onpage SEO actions (keyword optimization, metatags, ....) even for keywords for which there's not "too much" competition? Is there a way of visualize the pages indexed by the google bot? (the pages especifically, not the number) in order to discard indexing problems? Thank you!
