Google plus page multiple domains

Hi
I have had a .com domain for many years linked to my google plus page and local verified to my UK office address.
This site sells and advertises my products, some of them are uk only like the school and computers I sell and the rest are digital and world wide.
I decided to start a .co.uk domain to be more targeted to the uk and advertise only the school and computers which I sell to the uk and just link to the .com for digital products.
I want the .com domain to attract world wide customers and the .co.uk for uk customers.
What do I do, does it make sense to connect my google plus business page to the .co.uk site?
Should I still have a google plus page for the .com site?
I only have 1 office and thats in the uk.
Not sure what to do here. I dont want to lose rankings or do anything negative.

Hi, thanks for the responce, maybe I should create a brand page for the .com domain and keep my google business page for my new .co.uk targeted domain?

Just remember - Google+ Local pages are tied to physical locations only. Brand pages are different.

Hello Chris, There are many international sites that rank for generic international keywords and still have a Google local plus too. Does your site already rank well for international keywords? If your site already ranks well for worldwide generic keywords and you already have a Google plus page for it, then I would just leave everything the way it is.
But never forget that Google cares most about its customers and wants to serve up the best sites possible to fulfil their search query. If I type in 'buy Toshiba laptop' from a Californian IP address then what I want to see is websites that have physical stores close to my location. I don't want to see international sites where the product has to be shipped when I can just go around the corner and pick one up for the same price. Google knows this, and they're not going to show webpages in their search results from websites with stores on the other side of the world.
Even when I type in 'buy Toshiba laptop online' I still see online stores based in my location. Unless your Amazon, I think you'll struggle to rank for such generic keywords in other countries. And to be perfectly honest with you Chris I'm not 100% sure whether or not having your .com domain associated with a Google local page will reduce your site's ability to rank internationally. If I was to answer this it would only be speculation, and that's not the type of advice you want to be basing business decisions on, they should be based on fact.

Does linking a google plus business page to a domain and a physical address mean that google now ranks my domain to local customers over international?

What im worries about is google thinking my .com domain is for uk clients because its linked to a uk address.
I want the .com to be USA and UK based.
Also should my uk domain have a google plus page? I can only have 1 per address.
Really confused.

Hello Chris, the one thing you need to consider is does my Google Plus Business page rank well? If you're local Google Plus page is ranking well then you're playing with fire attempting to re-verify it with a new site that has less history and less authority.
The Google Plus Business page relies on the authority and quality of your existing .com site to rank. Attaching your Google Plus page to a new website will take away a large percentage of the reason why your existing Google Plus Page ranks. If your Google Plus page isn't ranking that well then you have nothing to worry about and you can reassociate and re-verify it with any website you want as you don't have any rankings to lose.
If you're Google Plus page isn't ranking then your main consideration should be your sales conversions. What do your customers want to see with regards to the association of the Google plus page to your website. What combination will invoke more trust in your potential customers. Hope that helps you out a bit.

Add Content to Page or Create New Page?
We are doing some local SEO for our business which is in 10 cities. We have built a city page with unique content for each city and linked to a unique contact page with contact information unique for each city. The content on our existing page is fairly thin. 2/3 of it is the same amongst all pages as our services are the exact same from city to city so the description ad menu of our services. Then 1/3 of the content is unique to the city which is a stock photo and 1-2 paragraphs of text containing about 175 words. We have another chunk of content for each city which is probably 2-3 paragraphs but each paragraph will be short so probably in total 200 words in 1-3 paragraphs. The subject of the content is related to one of the most popular search queries that are location specific. For example, if we were a company that provided say, environmental remodeling services in city X, this second chunk of content might be about required building permits when doing remodeling in City X and how to get them, how much they cost. If the original content on the pre-existing landing page is already pretty thin, is the SEO effect going to most likely be better to add the content to the existing page or, even though it's less than 200 words, add the content to a separate page and cross link between the main city page and the city contact page.

Service Location links in footer and on the service page - spamming or good practice?
We are are a managed IT services business so we try and target people searching for IT support in a number of key areas. We have created individual location pages (11) to localise our service in these specific areas. We put these location links in the footer which went to the specified IT support pages respectively. Now we have created a general 'managed IT services' page and are thinking of linking to these specific pages on there as well as it makes sense to do it. Would having these 11 links in the footer as well as on the 'managed IT services' page be spamming? or would it be good practice? If this is spamming, which linking location should hold preference. Would appreciate the feedback

Passing Juice through Multiple Locations
Hey Gang, Thank you in advance for taking some time out of your day to read/comment on this. I really am thankful for this awesome community. SO, I just took over a locksmith client with over 20 different locations all up and down the west coast. They have some of their Google My Businesses ranking in the snap three. But most of them are not even close. The SEO that they had done was very 2012 and very messy. They have the name of the cities in their GMB profiles which is against google policy (although we haven't got taken down) Example: Instead of Locksmith plus they have Locksmith Plus Portland or Locksmith Plus Seattle. So their Citations are all over the place. Some locations have a bunch, and some locations I haven't even been able to put them on Yelp or Super pages (because they do not accommodate well at all for multi location business it's kind of been a nightmare) And Besides mediocre citations their websites are all over the place to. None of them are Linked to each other they each look like a separate brand. So here's my question(s) 1. I have a pretty good PBN network of my own real websites for clients that I have ranked to page one. I want to start Backlinking to just our one Main locksmith site (that ranks for no city) an have that juice flow into all the other sites but I am afraid I wont interlink them correctly and the juice will get wasted. Should I have like all the links to every cities website on the front page and point all my pbn at the front page? How to I link these bad boys correctly? Or should I... (next question) 2. Ok I know the Google my business does not care about how many citations we have but rather the quality of those citations. I already know we are having a brand crisis. We need to change all these listings to the same brand name but I am afraid google will spank us once we change and take down our number ones (so be it?) But My question is how much should I focus on back linking some of these page listings. Like should I be posting the naked Yelp URL on some of my web 2.0s (that link back to my main website)? Or what if i just had the main citations on the cities website so they could get some juice too? Confusing! Overall I know that Google wants clean consistent branding and that what we want to do.I just want to make sure everything is hooked up right so when I do make some Bad a** big content that every location can benefit from it. Subdomain for ticketing of a client website (how to solve SEO problems caused by the subdomain/domain relationship)
We have a client in need of a ticketing solution for their domain (let's call it www.domain.com) which is on Wordpress - as is our custom ticket solution. However, we want to have full control of the ticketing, since we manage it for them - so we do not want to build it inside their original Wordpress install. Our proposed solution is to build it on tickets.domain.com. This will exist only for selling and issuing the tickets. The question is, is there a way to do this without damaging their bounce rate and SEO scores?

Since customers will come to www.domain.com, then click the ticketing tab and land on tickets.domain.com, Google will see this as a bounce. In reality, customers will not notice the difference as we will clone the look and feel of domain.com Should we perhaps have the canonical URL of tickets.domain.com point to www.domain.com? And also, can we install Webmaster Tools for tickets.domain.com and set the preferred domain as www.domain.com? Search Result Brings Up Home Page
Hi all, I've been looking at some SEO work on our new CMS site that's been up for a few months now and when doing a search for a particular page which I know has good SEO and received a 'B' rating on the MOZ on page grader, our home page shows up and not our relevant page. I don't exactly want to worsen the SEO on our home page so that it doesn't show up, but why would my home page which is fairly generic and covers a large area of the business show up rather than the specific page which I am searching with exact keywords for? For example: If I was searching for 'bananas' my home page for fruits would show up rather than my bananas page which has been tailored around those keywords. Thanks

SEO Value in Switching to ".NYC" Domain?
Recently " .NYC" domains have become available for purchase to New York City based businesses. I own and operate a New York City commercial real estate firm, nyc-officespace-leader.com. New domain would be www.metro-manhattan.nyc Our existing domain has been in use for seven years.would there be an SEO benefit to transferring our site to .NYC domain?
