Why did my Quality Score go down?
-
Hi,
I recently did a 301 redirect for my site to an abbreviated version (it went from flintrehabilitation.com to flintrehab.com) and my quality score tanked. Do you know why that would happen? It says that my landing page is below average but it was average before the redirect. Why the change?
Thanks!

Hi Matt,
How long ago was "recently?" I've often seen Quality Scores get reset when I change the destination URL, but then time will get them back to what they were before.
Best,
Kristina

Hi Matt,
Did you maybe also see changes in the number of impressions, bid pricing, competitors, etc? They could all impact the CTR and with that your QS.
-
Hi Matt,
301 redirect should not have effect on QS becaus the landing page is the web page the user lands after all redirects. Both the pages are same (design, content) so landing page below average is not due to 301 redirects.
Remember that the most important "component" of the QS is CTR.*
Hope that helps
Thanks

Redirect Management on Headless Wordpress w/ React Front End
Hello everyone, As Headless Wordpress becomes more and more popular, it becomes more complicated to manage and track 301 redirects. I'm reaching out for advice on this. Our main issue right now, is that after migrating from Drupal to a Headless Wordpress/React platform we lost the ability to track, manage, and view traffic analytics for users hitting those redirects. This was something we were able to do in Drupal. Example: If we have a redirect in place we could see how many times in the past x number of days that redirect was hit by users attempting to access the old URL. Unfortunately, Yoast Premium, has been helpful with other SEO needs, but this is one that it is not able to manage. Anyone have any ideas, experience, or thoughts on this issue? Thanks for your time

Reducing Negative Impact of Webpage Login Form
Our real estate website (www.metro-manhattan.com) now requires visitors to login in if they want to search our listing database. The result is that. 9 out of 10 visitors leave without searching; they simply refuse to set up an account. I have attached images of the search bar and login form. Is there a way to increase the percentage of visitors that login? We have tried to make it as simple as possible, allowing visitors to login by Facebook, Google or by providing their email address. We do not send any verification email. We are forced to. keep this login unfortunately. But is there anything we can do to reduce the visitor bounce rate? Thanks,

New Adwords Account To Replace Old Low Account Quality Score
I'm dealing with an old adwords account that has been managed by a wide variety of people over many years. From what I can tell, the account has always struggled with low kw quality scores. In addition to other quality score improvements (SKAGs, better landing pages, more ad testing for CTR), what do you think of throwing in the towel on this account and starting a new adwords account... importing the better part of the old account? Any hidden pitfalls I should be aware of and precautions to take or is it all opportunity to start fresh? Thanks!

Google Adwords Quality Score Driving me I-N-S-A-N-E
Here's my issue, I have an Air Conditioning client for whom I've been managing their SEO and Adwords PPC for the past year. The SEO is going good, we are seeing tangible results every month will soon be on page 1 for their most competitive keyword. On the adwords side, we are having some major issues though and I'm racking my brain. We are somehow getting quality scores in the 2's and 3's on the regular. I've streamlined my campaigns down to the city and within those I've streamlined my keyword groups into the following groups: City (Campaign) - AIr Conditioning (keyword group) - AC Repair (keyword group) - Fix AC (keyword group) - Contractor (keyword group) - Air Conditioner (keyword group) Every keyword we're bidding on falls nicely into one of these keyword groups and we're putting about 10 key words in each. Landing pages have exact phrase match in page title, h1, bold words, contact form and a coupon image with all the meta tags indicating the image offer matches the offer in our ads. We are running 3-4 ads in each keyword and testing new ads almost daily. Still getting 2s and 3s on the highest trafficked keywords (air conditioning & ac repair). I've read everything out there, I signed up for wordstream which had some decent recommendations (basically break your ad groups into smaller verticals) which I've implemented to no avail. I'm beginning to think Google is just hustling all these companies in service industry who they know rely on adwords to get phone calls in the summer - especially the HVAC industry. I'm running out of ideas here other than just going to Vegas and putting all my client's on black at the roulette wheel. Seems like a much more fun way to piss away thousands of dollars and at least they'll give me some cocktails.

Monthly subscription going viral
Hello everyone, thank you in advance for your suggestions. I have a new product rolling out that will require a monthly fee from my customers. In return, they get a daily email/video on a particular topic. I want this to go viral, meaning, I would like a program where it's easy for the customer to buy into, easy for them to promote with incentives and as hands off as possible for me to manage. Are their any good tools out there that have already been developed? Any ideas about the best way to make this grow?

How Quality Score relates to Cost-per-acquisition CPA
I'm running purely CPA campaigns at the moment and I'm wondering if my Quality Score is at all relevant. My understanding is that Quality Score is closely tied to clicks, so if I'm not targetting that (but conversions instead) then the Quality Score is not something I need to pay any attention too. In fact, it seems kind of irrelevant. Do any experts out there agree or disagree? I would love some clarity! I've never seen Google refer to conversions or CPA when it talks about Quality Score.
