Is opening multiple Facebook pages a good strategy?

I currently operate a Facebook page with ~4,000 fans who are fairly active.
In the nearby future I am planning on opening up websites in my most important target locations (mostly for legal reasons)
We offer several worldwide products that are extremely popular and not all represented on Facebook.
Given the above background info, my questions are:
- Is it worthwhile to open and build up Facebook channels per language
- Is it worthwhile to open and build up Facebook channels per "product"
What are the SEO implications of each in addition to improving our social profile.

I only have 5 products I would do this for...

It might make sense to have different pages per country so that the comments are replies are all in a language understood by those visiting the page - depends on your resources though.
If you have many products, I wouldn't do a page for each - far too difficult to keep on top of.

You can go with this trick. And of course it will help. But if you are selling 100s of products then can you manage each and every page?
The other way is grouping of your product. You can create a page for a specific category, in which you can add all products from the category and promote them without any hassle.

Facebook adds a trailing slash to urls?
Hey Guys, we are facing a problem in our www.batuta.com with Facebook shares. Seems like because we choose to set our preferred canonical version urls to end with a trailing slash ( / ), like this one e.g.: www.batuta.com/الوجهات/إسبانيا/ Facebook adds automatically another ( / ) when trying to read the url on first share before its ever indexed in FB. Which makes Facebook think its a bad request! cause then the URL has two // at the end of it. hope this was clear. anyway, so first question: did anybody face this issue before? any solutions? Second, and might be more important: I might be forced to face the option of changing the canonical tags to be a url without a ( / ) if I will have to do this I will enforce a redirect on every url request with an ending trailing slash ( / ) to be redirected to the new canonical version without. will this be enough? how big am I supposed to suffer here? am I facing a long time with double indexed urls? wonder if anybody faced this problem before! Google+ Business page just not showing :-(
Good morning from Pollen level moderate wetherby UK pass me another Benadryl Plus wetherby UK Having jumped into the world of Google plus my objective was to create a business page that would appear when the Google+ serp is clicked on. Unfortunately my labour & toil has not paid off 😞 Having created a Google+ business page & set it to default ( I think ) it still points to the vanilla Google+ page. Moderate blog comments Yes/No? Facebook comment plugin?
I was reading outbound marketing and they suggest that a good blog "does not" moderate comments. I have always taken the moderate approach, but their thought was this inhibits a conversation from taking place on the blog. I am wondering what thoughts others may have on this and its potential positive and negative impacts, both SEO and in general. Also I am thinking about using a Facebook plugin with my blogposts. I think this may be a good way to help get social visibility... Has anyone tried this yet?

Do you build tools meant to be shared on Facebook?
I have some neat ideas for calculators and fun tools that I'll implement on one of my sites from time to time. I'm not convinced that I am getting the most SEO value out of them however, and would love to discuss what others do. Let's say I create a calculator that let's someone "cartoon themselves" (fictitious example). So, I'd create the tool and then I would put a button in a prominent place on the page to encourage people to share to FB. I configure my page so that the title and meta description are enticing for others who would see the story in their friend's news feed, so something like: I just cartooned myself on example.com! Upload a photo and see what you look like as a cartoon! You won't believe the results! So, this gets me some traffic, but nothing has gone super viral yet. I have a few pages like this that have garnered a few links, but not nearly as many as I would like. I promote the page on digg and other sites as well but this brings very poor returns. When you make a tool like this, do you do a lot of promotion? Have any tips for me? (btw...it's possible that my tools are just not as "shareable" as I think!)
