Google news and Yoast News
-
Hi,
I have a blog, I want to send my blog to Google news with the plugin "Yoast news".
If I'll change the meta-title and ill keep the title of the post as is, for example:
Meta-title (yoast) - TEXT for Search engines | My Brand name
Post tilte - for users - TExT For Users and BlaBlathere is a problem? the title of the page and the title of the meta should be same for Google NEWS?
-
Hi John
The best I can offer you from here is to experiment. Try some news that match perfectly (I wouldn't include the brand in your H1, however - regardless of what Google says) and try some that vary.
Measure your performance and CTR for each and see how they compare. Which set out performed the other?
I would also look into creating a news sitemap (https://support.google.com/news/publisher/answer/74288?hl=en) and look into NewsArticle schema (https://schema.org/NewsArticle). Both help you define your title better for crawlers.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi John
Yes, if your meta title and H1 are different, that's fine.
Hope this helps - good luck!

I don't care about Google/optimiztion. I want the best for Google News.
If I'll add my brand to meta title, the title will be different from the H1 (post title) it's okay?

This is actually a pretty long-standing debate. It actually came up on Q&A pretty recently. Let me know if this helps at all.

Hi Thanks!
I just read this article: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-news-titles-h1-19876.html
Google want the same title. no problem. but what about the brand? | My Brand
is it good idea to add it? -
Hi there
For me, I think your meta titles should be something that is truthful, quick, and easy for crawlers to read and understand what the article is about, while also being interesting enough for users to click. It should contain important and relevant keywords or ideas.
When it comes to the post title that your users will read on the article, I would make it more editorial and enticing, while still speaking true to the content in the article.
Both need to be interesting enough for users to click but you are able to have more fun with the post title itself, while being more targeted with the meta title as you are only allotted so much room.
You can read more about title tag best practices here as well as targeting headlines here. ShoutMeLoud also has some good thoughts on the subject as well.
Hope my thoughts helps - let me know if you have any more questions or comments! Good luck!

Not ranking in Google - why???
This will be a bit long, so please bare with me. I have a client in the auto parts industry who wants to rank their homepage for 13 different keywords. We are ranked first page for all keywords in Yahoo! Mexico and Bing Mexico, but not ranking first page at all in Google Mexico. My client's competitor, however, is clearly outranking my client in Google. When comparing both pages, my client's, while not 100% optimized, looks better optimized than their competitor's. Looking at all metrics using Moz, SEMRush, ahrefs, etc... my client's site looks MUCH better on all fronts. I know ranking a single homepage for more than 10 keywords is a difficult task. Our competitor is however, ranking for them, so it's not impossible. The keywords are not even that competitive according to Moz's analysis. I decided to create an optimized page for each keyword to try to rank these pages, but still my client wants the homepage to rank (again, if the competitor is ranking, then it's possible to do this) and I am afraid these pages I created could result in keyword cannibalization ultimately affecting the homepage's possibility to rank. My client had a previous SEO agency working for them and basically all they did was create fake blogs and have lots of keyword rich links directed to the site's homepage. I got the complete link profile from several tools and submitted a disavow requests for as many fishy links I could find, but that hasn't shown any results so far. Note: when looking at the competitor link profile, they have basically just a few links and no external links of real value whatsoever. My client is obviously very frustrated, and so am I. In my SEO experience, it shouldn't be such a difficult task to accomplish, however nothing seems to work even though everything seems to point that my client should rank higher. So now I'm running out of ideas regarding what to do with this site. Any insight you could provide would be SO helpful to me and my client. If needed I can provide my client's homepage URL and also their competitors homepage for you to review. i can also give you any extra information you need. Thanks a lot!

How to find all indexed pages in Google?
Hi, We have an ecommerce site with around 4000 real pages. But our index count is at 47,000 pages in Google Webmaster Tools. How can I get a list of all pages indexed of our domain? trying to locate the duplicate content. Doing a "site:www.mydomain.com" only returns up to 676 results... Any ideas? Thanks, Ben

Google indexing issue?
Hey Guys, After a lot of hard work, we finally fixed the problem on our site that didn't seem to show Meta Descriptions in Google, as well as "noindex, follow" on tags. Here's my question: In our source code, I am seeing both Meta descriptions on pages, and posts, as well as noindex, follow on tag pages, however, they are still showing the old results and tags are also still showing in Google search after about 36 hours. Is it just a matter of time now or is something else wrong?

Google Penguin Penalty
Howdy Guys,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | ScottBaxterWW
We have been battling our way the Google penguin penalty and have just received our 3 knocked back reconsideration request. I posted a find on here the other day about a simple change of page title made our site jump back up... In the meantime I've built 1 hight quality link back to our site and we have moved again from #50 to #46.Have Google ever removed a penalty without telling you?Should we ask for another reconsideration request? Thanks,

Top Google News Result = Search Result #11 (first on second page)
Hey all, I've noticed that, in most cases, when we have an article that gets the top spot in Google News results for a given keyword, the search result for that same article will appear in position #11 (the first result on the second page for standard SERP viewing). This is nearly always the case, which suggests its built into Google's algorithm to prevent overlap. Has anyone else experienced this? I haven't seen it discussed previously on Moz or other SEO forums, but it makes sense. Or if you haven't experienced this, I'd love to hear about what you're seeing.

Google Webmasters not Accurate
I recently updated all the Meta titles, descriptions and keywords on my website because in the past most were duplicate and/or written in the incorrect language. According to Webmaster Tools they have indexed our site post update, but we still have the same number of HTML issues. When I click to investigate the issues further it is clear they are reflecting the old Meta not the new stuff we just added. Should this fix itself the next time Google crawls my site or is there something else I should be doing about the issue? Thanks!
